Chapter 164 - He Deserves It

I couldn't stop hugging my sister.

As promised, Nikolai had rescued Alya and let me speak to her on the phone as they were driving back.

Two hours later, the small motorboat appeared in the distance, and I didn't take my eyes off my twin the entire time.

I grabbed her the second she stepped onto the deck. The lights on the yacht had let me see how badly those Russian assholes treated her. I needed to reassure myself that she was here, unharmed and safe. "I thought I'd never see you again."

"Same. I'm so happy to see you."

Tears slid along my cheeks and down my jaw. We stayed like that for a few minutes, and something settled inside me, like I'd reconnected with the other half of my soul.

Finally, I pulled back. We both grinned and wiped our faces. Then, at the same time, we realised we had an audience.

Nikolai was leaning against the side of the yacht, observing us. I looked him over. He was covered in blood, even his face and hands.
