Chapter 747: The Arrival of the Ziyun Sect
The day of founding and declaration had arrived.
Before the newly established Thunder Prison's main hall in the Bloodrock Realm, Mo Yu stood with his hands clasped behind his back. In front of the grand hall stretched an enormous square.
Now, that vast expanse was filled with dense, orderly ranks of people—a black tide of formation after formation.
These were the elite forces of the Asura Gate, Blood Shark Tower, Dao Palace, and the other combined factions.
From this day forth, they would form the foundation of Thunder Prison!
Every gaze among them was fixed upon Mo Yu, eyes brimming with curiosity and reverence.
From their former masters, they had already learned that henceforth, their supreme commander would be this coldly handsome man before them.
Though unfamiliar with Mo Yu, they knew one thing clearly: anyone capable of unifying the Bloodrock Realm and integrating six top-level powers had strength beyond comprehension.
Rumor said even the Ice Pavilion Lord had fallen at the hands of this mysterious yet formidable Prison Lord.
The wind swept through, but the massive square remained silent—utterly still. Even the powerful leaders standing at the periphery were subdued by the overwhelming presence.
Everyone knew that from this day onward, Thunder Prison would reign over the Bloodrock Realm.
Standing atop the steps, Mo Yu felt the weight of those fearful gazes and could not help but sigh inwardly. He had only been in the Great Thousand World for a single year, yet now stood as the ruler of a domain. Though he had wielded great authority for decades in the Dou Qi Continent, facing this new world and its challenges still stirred his thoughts.
But Mo Yu also knew—no matter how much things changed—Thunder Prison's goal was clear: to become one of the super powers of the Great Thousand World. Today's gathering was only the first step.
Turning slightly, Mo Yu looked toward the Feng Emperor, clad in an elegant blue robe. Meeting Mo Yu's gaze, the elder's wrinkled face showed a smile of respect.
Once, they had spoken as equals. Now, with Thunder Prison born, their relationship had taken new form—lord and vassal.
The Feng Emperor had long known Mo Yu was a hidden dragon deep beneath the waves, but not even he had expected this dragon to soar to the heavens so quickly.
Given time, the man before him might well stand atop the Great Thousand World, equal among the greatest of the great.
Dong!
As the Feng Emperor's thoughts wandered, the sound of an ancient bell reverberated through heaven and earth.
Hearing the chime, Mo Yu stepped forward. With a mere thought, an immense surge of spiritual power burst from his body, like a sweeping tornado tearing across heaven and earth.
Boom!
The oppressive wave of power crashed outward—ordinary cultivators shuddered, even the Lower Earth Sovereigns felt as if a divine mountain pressed down on them, suffocating under the weight.
The overflowing might stirred commotion among the spectators. Awed whispers soon broke the silence.
"A... An Upper Earth Sovereign?!"
"I never imagined the Lord of Thunder Prison was actually an Upper Earth Sovereign! Judging by his age, not yet past his prime—so young, yet so powerful! Thunder Prison's rise is only a matter of time!"
"No wonder figures like Zhong Cang or the Dao Palace Master willingly gave up their domains to join him. Something extraordinary must have happened in that secret realm."
"..."
The waves of astonished voices spread. The elites of the Asura Gate, Blood Shark Tower, and Snow Valley all looked thrilled.
They had long heard rumors that their new lord was extraordinary—he had supposedly slain the Ice Pavilion Lord within the Earth Sovereign's secret realm. But now, they learned that their leader was an Upper Earth Sovereign.
The difference between a Lower and an Upper Earth Sovereign, though a single rank, was immense. With one such powerhouse at its heart, Thunder Prison would immediately qualify as a major force of the Northern Region.
"From this day forth," Mo Yu's clear voice carried through the sky, "Thunder Prison stands established. The collections of all seven forces within the Bloodrock Realm shall merge to form our Library Pavilion."
"All members of Thunder Prison may enter the Pavilion for cultivation. Those of great merit may freely choose from among countless Sovereign Bodies and divine arts!"
"Furthermore, Thunder Prison will establish a Divine Armory Hall. Any who contribute significantly shall earn the right to take spiritual weapons, divine artifacts—even sacred artifacts—at will!"
A tremor ran through the crowd before an eruption of sound followed.
"We thank the Prison Lord!"
At his final words, every warrior—be they of the Asura Gate, Blood Shark Tower, or Dao Palace—dropped to one knee, shouting fervent praise. Their thunderous voices rolled across the heavens.
Resources decided a faction's destiny. Sovereign Bodies, divine arts, armaments—these were the dreams of all cultivators. With a few simple edicts, Mo Yu had paved a path to glory, instantly winning the hearts and loyalty of his new subordinates.
Even the surrounding observers from other factions were dazzled. A force willing to reward with sacred artifacts? Such riches moved even Earth Sovereigns.
Nearby, Zhong Cang, Ao Sha, and Feng Yuanzi exchanged glances, astonishment flickering in their eyes. None had expected Mo Yu to speak so boldly of sacred items.
They harbored doubts but refrained from questioning, their faith in Mo Yu overriding hesitation.
The Feng Emperor, however, smiled knowingly. He recalled Mo Yu's skill in artifact forging back in the Dou Qi Continent. Though he had yet to demonstrate it in the Great Thousand World, his talent likely extended to sacred craftsmanship. If that day came, Thunder Prison's development would surge immeasurably.
Even an Earth Sovereign could not resist the allure of sacred armaments.
Mo Yu, seeing the shock in their reactions, smiled inwardly. For now, even he could not produce a low-tier sacred artifact.
But that did not matter—declaring it publicly served its purpose. As a forger, he believed it was only a matter of time before sacred items left his hand.
Once his people's loyalty was fully secured, Mo Yu's sleeve swept outward. A streak of light darted across the plaza, landing atop a nearby mountain and transforming into a great thunderous gate.
"This gate shall be called the Heavenly Gang Gate. From henceforth, any who wish to join Thunder Prison must first pass through it. Only those who succeed will be worthy of the name Thunder Prison disciple!"
Thunder Prison's fame would surely draw countless aspiring geniuses in time. But Mo Yu had no interest in accepting everyone—unfiltered crowds would only bring harm.
The Heavenly Gang Gate, crafted through special methods, would test each applicant. Those who failed would be cast out; those who passed would still undergo moral assessment before acceptance.
Moreover, the gate's challenge would remind existing members of their worth, strengthening their pride and unity.
As the former lord of the Yuan Mansion on the Dou Qi Continent, Mo Yu had ruled for decades—he was no idle figurehead but a ruler of vision.
"The Prison Lord is wise!"
Thunder Prison's legions echoed as one, full of admiration. Their earlier doubts vanished; they were now wholly conquered by his leadership.
Watching others strain to enter Thunder Prison only deepened their pride. To belong to this force was no small feat—and they had joined first.
Zhong Cang, Ao Sha, and the rest exchanged helpless smiles. With just a few words, Mo Yu had turned the masses wholeheartedly to him. Though young, his skill in governance was seasoned—a true king in the making.
Realizing this, they abandoned their secret ambitions, deciding that aiding Mo Yu faithfully might not be so bad after all.
Mo Yu gazed across the kneeling crowd, a slight smile curving his lips. Yet suddenly, his brows furrowed. His deep voice rang sharply:
"Who?"
The plaza went silent at once. All eyes turned toward him in confusion.
It seemed someone dared to intrude on Thunder Prison's founding day.
The Feng Emperor and others bristled. Today marked Thunder Prison's official establishment. If anyone sought to humiliate them now, it would be unforgivable.
"Hehe, rumor has it the Lord of Thunder Prison is an obscure name. Seeing you now, that rumor seems accurate indeed."
A mocking laugh echoed from the distance the moment Mo Yu's voice faded.
Faces darkened across the square as anger rose among Thunder Prison's warriors. Someone dared insult their Prison Lord?
A flicker of cold anger flashed in Mo Yu's silver eyes, but he restrained it, fixing a glacial stare toward the horizon. There, streaks of light approached before three figures stepped forward.
Three elders, all robed in violet. The leader's face was pale and smooth as a child's, his eyes narrowed in a constant smile—a smiling tiger in the flesh.
Behind him followed two more elders, both cold and arrogant.
The moment they stepped into the open space, oppressive waves of spiritual energy burst forth. Several Thunder Prison cultivators too near were flung back instantly, coughing blood.
"Upper Earth Sovereigns?!"
Feng Yuanzi and the others' faces changed drastically. Three of them—each one an Upper Earth Sovereign.
"This attire… could they be from the Ziyun Sect?" Feng Yuanzi's pupils narrowed as he studied them. His face darkened.
"The Ziyun Sect?" The surrounding leaders paled at the name.
The Tianluo Continent was one of the Great Thousand World's super continents, expansive beyond measure. Broadly divided into five regions—east, south, west, north, and central.
The Bloodrock Realm lay in the farthest corner of the Northern Region. Though Thunder Prison now dominated it, across the Northern Region it was still merely mid-tier. The Ziyun Sect, new arrivals though they were, had powerful backing—enough to quickly climb into the ranks of the Northern Region's hegemon-level forces.
Hearing the name "Ziyun Sect," Mo Yu's eyes flickered thoughtfully. He recalled that years later, the sect had once attempted to annex Mu Chen's Yuan Mansion—only to be repelled by Mu Chen himself.
At this point in time, though, the Ziyun Sect had only recently arrived in the Tianluo Continent. This delegation was far weaker than its later one—only three Upper Earth Sovereigns instead of three Perfected ones.
Even so, with a super power supporting them from behind—likely one with a Heaven Sovereign—the Ziyun Sect carried itself arrogantly.
This continent was clearly a feast eyed by countless mighty forces. Each sent pawns to stake claim, restrained only by one another from direct intervention.
Still, Mo Yu had no intention of rooting Thunder Prison on the Tianluo Continent. Compared to this place, the Thunderclap Continent—home to the Ancient Thunder Palace—would one day be his true dominion.
"Hehe, I am Zi Tianbei of the Ziyun Sect, here to greet the Lord of Thunder Prison." The white-haired elder gave a sly, narrow smile as his sharp gaze swept over Mo Yu.
"What business?" Mo Yu's voice was calm, faintly cold.
The elder chuckled lightly, unbothered. "I presume you know our Ziyun Sect has only recently established itself in the Northern Region. We are eager for talented allies. Upon learning of Thunder Prison's founding, our Sect Master took great interest."
"So, by his decree, I have come to invite Thunder Prison to join our Ziyun Sect. Once our sect claims supremacy over the Northern Region, your Thunder Prison will gain merit and reward—perhaps even full dominion over several Bloodrock territories."
Mo Yu's brow creased faintly. "Thunder Prison's strength is limited. Even if we joined, we would be of little help. Find someone else."
Zi Tianbei smiled wider, his eyes gleaming with veiled threat. "Lord of Thunder Prison, few dare refuse the Ziyun Sect's invitation. I suggest you reconsider carefully."
As he spoke, he flicked his fingers. A purple jade scroll, glowing with power and authority, shot toward Mo Yu.
Landing in Mo Yu's hand, the jade still shone faintly. Seeing this, Zi Tianbei smirked triumphantly. Around them, the leaders of nearby factions sighed quietly.
So soon after its founding, Thunder Prison was already to be annexed, it seemed.
But just as that thought settled over them, Mo Yu's disdainful voice cut through the air.
"Ungrateful fools. You think Thunder Prison would stoop to be a vassal of your Ziyun Sect? You dare?"
With a squeeze of his hand, he crushed the jade scroll—
and with a loud crack, it exploded into a mist of violet dust that scattered through the stunned silence.
