"Hup!" Leroy leapt up and out of the way. The large bear like paw of the bandersnatch slammed into the ground, splatting the other mold monsters into nothing but black goop. Skeletons being pulled away as they were released from the corruption
"What is that thing!" Kirk screamed. The creatures attention still on the smaller creatures that were easily ripped into shreds
"Kinda looks….Cute." Raven said with a small smile. "Cute?! That thing looks like you pulled hair from a drain and called it a dog when its actually a cat!" A mold creature came up near him, that caused him to nearly shriek in disgust
With a quick slam, his staff smashed through it! The black tendrils that were like dried out squid, splattered across the ground
Raven was also in the midst of handling a Mold monster. Her bloom bloom crushing one of them by snapping it in half by bending it backwards like a twig
"But it looks like a puppy!" Raven said with big eyes in an almost plead "Rav, I don't know how to tell you this, but I think your sense of whats cute and funny is kinda fucked up." Leroy says with a laugh, he knew good and well that his was as well
"And that puppy finally has it's attention on us!" Kirk screamed as the bandersnatch suddenly turned it's attention from a corpse on the ground, finally picking apart the large giant, to them. Lips that sagged like a bears slurped a large bland tendril as if it was ink pasta
It reeled back slightly, lifting up onto its back legs before baring down like a bear! The sheer size of the Bandersnatch caused the ground to quake and begin to fissure apart! Huge chunks of earth coming out of the ground!
"Bamboo Stalk Bloom!" Ravens hands raised, blooming multiple clumps of pillars of hands from hands. She'd had this fruit for almost two decades, she'd gotten much stronger with it than when she started, but she could still only create limbs the size of her own.
But that didnt stop her from generating multitudes upon multitudes to raise herself and her comrades up into the air.
The three were like olives on the end of foot long toothpicks floating meters above the Bandersnatch. It reared again and slammed into the earth to shatter
However before it could rear back and slam into the ground again, a loud roar broke through the trees like a bird's call! From the right side, the mold and mushrooms broke free!
A giant bird suddenly appeared! It looked tall and had large talky legs like that of a Heron, its feathers were dark red and blue with white accidents all throughout. Its neck was long like ones as well, with its beak was long and curved at the end, sharp teeth filling its maw.
It had a Crown of long feathers along the back of its head, along with large whiskers came from its 'cheeks' with other feathers jutting around similar to that of a man
This was none other than that of the Jub Jub! As it revealed itself, it dropped the corpse of a chicken that seemed to be scorched, as if when it was alive it had been perpetually on fire, and a dove that was monstrous in size due to corruption. Both of them well over 12 ft tall and filled with fungus and corruption from Korus Jaku-Jaku
"Bloom Canopy." Raven said, pulling the trio back and placing them a top a platform of hands.
"I think these two will handle each other…" Raven said, practically making a tall scaffold like a fire watch tower
"R-Raven…Why the Hell would you keep us up this high! I'm afraid of heights!!" Kirk said with a small squeal
"You're also somehow afraid of the ocean." Leroy jeered "Yeah! Cuz things like that Kraken are in there! The Oceans are fine when they're cute and pretty!"
"And Beaches." Raven coyly poked fun. There had been a small beach on the previous island they'd been on just after Water 9. Kirk…Hated it.
"Sand! Thats why! You can barely walk in it, and it gets all in your junk!" He said, still white knuckling the railing of arms as the fight between the Jub Jub and Bandersnatch erupted
"Here we go!" Leroy excitedly girned.
The Two massive creatures began to circle one another, like two boxers or cats waiting to pounce. The Jub Jubs head bobbed with ever step as the massive paws of the Bandersnatch kept it low when finally…
They launched at each other! The Jub Jubs beak spread wide as its huge taloned feet made quick work of striding towards the other creature who was already in the middle letting a monstrous swipe!
The Bird was quick, raising its scrawny leg and slammed it into it's head like a bird would do to a frog or a snake! The Talons dug deep into the top of the beast, but it was able to rebound quickly, swiping its other paw across its thin body! The Jub jub Had its wings spread out in a defensive and intimidation attempt, but the claws sheared through the feathers and caused blood to pour!
Jub Jub gave a quick peck back before locking its jaws into the neck of Bandersnatch, causing the large cat creature to release a vocalization of pain!
The exchange went on for long minutes as the trio watched the primal animalistic attack. By the end, both were torn to what seemed like shreds from brutal attacks and thrashings of heads.
It seemed that the Bandersnatch was the victor by virtue of it unique constitution of high fat content, despite the two being equal in strength. Leaving the Jub Jub panting its final breaths on the ground.
But as the Bandersnatch limped off, it fell to its stomach in a heap. It as well taking far too much damage…
"Well…That was an Unexpected outcome…" Kirk commented.
"Yeah…" Leroy said, a tad disappointed.
"This Place is Weird…" Kale said, standing on the building in Max Town. The peak of it curved up in strange ways like an artistic clay sculpture.
"Yeah you're telling me." Calliope added. She had her hands on her hips as she watched what seemed to be small scale riots and fights in the streets
"What're we supposed to do again?" Kale asked…Forgetting again… "
"I suppose it's to spring whatever trap is waiting for us here." Eddie added. But Eddies eyes weren't focused on the fights and partying in the street, but in the clouds of aura off in the distance. Where the music as rumbling from
It had to be his crew. He'd recognize that sound anywhere… "But I do not think I'll be able to accompany you two."
"What? Why not?" Cali asked with a furrowed brow. "If my senses are correct. My crew is here as I suspected. And…I think it must be me alone who deals with them."
"Nuh uh. We can handle it together. We can't just split up more than we already–" Kale was already on the move by the time she turned back. Already hopping down and in the midst of fighting crowds of Deri Warriors! Sending them flying with simple slashes!
"Or I guess we can! Ugh! Okay Skele-Dude. You go handle your crew, and I'll make sure this guy doesn't get lost or get himself killed! We'll try and meet back up with you soon!"
"Alright." The Skeleton gave a nod, leaping away to where the music was coming from
