In the Background, Giant chains were detached from the ship, and were left to slam into the waters causing enormous dozen meter tall peaks of water. Releasing the Sea King that was used to pull along the Osmium leviathan. The waters were disturbed and rounded slightly as it dove deep into the waters.
The tip of its tail was frilled, and was over 20 meters long before slicing back into the black waters
"Will you cut it out!" A feminine voice screamed, as rougher higher pitched masculine voice answered "What! I can make them however I want!"

"Yeah well…ugh!" Alice gave a grunt of frustration as she gave a stomp of her foot. She was a short woman, standing only at 5'5. She wore a black and blue dress that puffed out at the bottom, with wide straps that rested on her shoulders
Below the final seam of the Dress, she wore platform boots, and had fishnet stockings that rode up the rest of the way from above the calf
Her arms were adorned in fishnet gloves with an assortment of Bracelets. Each having small pendants of animals.
She was pale in skin tone, and had large bright blue eyes, and blonde hair that was kept up in low hanging twin ponytails, one on each side, with serrated bangs that partially covered her forehead
As for Kuro, he was shirtless, with many tattoos across his body, and specifically a large upside down pentacle on his abdomen. He had long hair that flowed to his neck, the roots were black and the rest seemed bleached as if hair dye was fading. Which it was.
His pants was literal patch work, black leather pants that had originally been spotless and pristine and now become so worn and torn, that the surface of them were littered with patches to plug wounds on the pants. Not a spot was untouched by them
"Will you quit whining! You always do this, you bring 'em back and then you get all pissy that I didn't do it the way youuu wanted!" He said in a snarky remark, his eye shadowed eyes sneering
These two were the Reason for the In Chained's existence.
Alma Alice, User of The Necro Necro fruit. With this ability she can revive any and everything back from the dead as long as a full intact skeleton is left over. When a person is brought back, it's estimated that the persons strength is reduced by 10% for every decade the individual has been deceased.
Though this is not exact, as their has been those brought back that have seemingly only lost meager amounts of power.
The Necro Necro fruit can generate a false layer of flesh and muscle over the cadaver, and while this flesh isn't an illusion and is certainly real, including the blood produced, once the body dies, it reverts back to the condition it was originally in before the Necro Necro fruits involvement (Bar the Blood and viscera created and expelled during fights that are left over, but eventually decay 1000x faster (Taking only 14 minutes)
When an Individual is brought back, a brain is created, specifically the exact brain that was there prior regardless of what happened, and then the soul of the person is returned into it.
This means that whenever a person is brought back, much as Slingblade told Dezzi, they are fully aware and conscious of what they are doing. Truly, the individual is brought back from the dead
This is where the second ability of the Necro Necro Fruit comes into play, where Alice is able to give any of those she brings back orders that must be fulfilled, and in this state, it leaves the individual brain dead and nothing more than a puppet
As for Koru?
His Devil Fruit was the Jaku Jaku no Mi, or the Corruption Fruit. Anything that he touches becomes 'corrupted' in some way. He is the reason why the island has such strange environments about them.
By touching the ground, he can turn the healthy soil into cracked dirt with dying thorn vines and calcified trees with rugged stones, turning it inhospitable.
When he touches a person? This corruption can alter their state of mind and appearance, though the former is denied if the individual is stronger than Koru
From the strange animalistic beast, to the Hellified Demonic Creatures, if a creature on the Island is roaming and is nightmarish in appearance, theres a good chance it's caused by Korus fruit.
The Benefit of this, is that when a Zombie is Corrupted, they become feral and become the perfect force for conquering armies of soldiers. They won't stop if injured, and if killed theres no loss to the crew.
Together with Alice, the Two Make the Perfect Army Known as the In Chained and the Grateful Dead.
"Yeah well that's because you always make them worse! Can't you at least give these guys some dignity!" She pointed to one who looked fat in the face and had horns covering his eyes as he had beige chitin armor that covered now red prickly flesh
"That guy looked decent before! Sure rotting, but at least he looked human!" She yelled up at the man that stood over a foot taller than her, who leaned down to sneer back
"So what?! We're not supposed to make 'em look pretty! Or give them dignity! Their foot soldiers! Who gives a fuck who they used to be. It only matters who they used to be if they become one of the grateful!"
A knock came from the metal door that was next to them. They were in a sort of Factory. At least the floor they were on looked like a factory floor. With large shutter doors at the other end so that the created armies could wander out.
Corpses were brought by conveyor, where they were brought back and corrupted before being heralded by the moving mechanism to be dropped from a few feet into a massive horde that was then split up into distinct groups depending on how they were corrupted, and then sent into battle
"What." Alice said, putting a hand on her hip. It was Miura on the other side. "Oh hey Mi…What's up." Alice said shifting her tone
"Are they ready? Barbary needs as many of the In Chained as possible out in the Island wandering to catch the Red Sash Pirates.
"Ugh…Yeah. They are. Just finished them and the newest batch of Grateful. That Swordsman was a tough pickle though, but he's with Caldera now…"
