"Sonova—" Jack sat up from the table he sat on, walking across the deck of his Hot-Rod of a ship as he tore the bounty poster of his grandson "Seriously?! Half a billion?!" He wasn't even concerned about the accusations of his grandson now being seen as a mass murderer. Crumpling the paper he tossed it behind him where the silver blue haired boy caught it, unfolding it and looking at the number "You wanted me to fight a guy with a bounty like this?!"
"Ugh…" Coma said with a hand on his forehead "Ooo! What's this!" A Catty voice said next to Coma, his marine partner Mari. A slim woman at 5'6 wearing a sleeveless riding jacket and simple skirt. Her pink hair was like a sakura petal, a pale pastel pink in a short fringe bob that reach just below her occipital
She was quite the eccentric girl, constantly loud and boisterous. "Oh! He's kinda hot, no wonder he's the Vice Admirals Grandson!" She picked up the news and tilted her head in feline fashion "Oh they all are…"
"Oh C'mon! Don't say that about the pirates!" The two began to bicker back and forth as Vice Admiral Jack leaned on the front railing. The Ship began to pick up speed. Jack initially hadn't planned on intervening any further after giving the report to HQ that Red Sash had 'Gotten away'
All the while he still sat on the horizon of the Island where he figured they'd be leaving from to head to the next island.
"C'mon…Where you at…" He said giving his large bushy beard a stroke. His keen eyes squinted as they scoured the horizon with a spyglass. The Heat Haze of the ocean casting a short illusion as the dark ship came over the horizon "There!"
"Uh oh…" Jeanne sat up quickly from the bean bag in the Large open room that was the Crows Nest. It had a small cot for naps along with a telescope and could open up for star gazing. She ran over to the 360 glass windows and saw the large sleek marine battleship on the Horizon getting closer and closer. "Okay lets hope this works…"
She ran over to the other side of the room to where a small panel sat raised from the wall, with mesh and a button. She pushed the button, followed by another pushing her through the entire PA "Leroy! I think your grandpa's hightailing it for us!"
"Huh?!" Leroy shot up from the sun room that sat at the very end of the ship, hanging from the Green House. Twisting around he saw the ship speed forward.
Shooting up, Leroy ran across the glass room and out of the door and across the bridge to the Greenhouse where Kirk and Ravens plants were, then out to the railing that curved around the Galley (The Greenhouse is Nestled on the same wall as the galley, allowing for access from the kitchen)
"There he is!" Jack declared as he snapped his fingers calling over a group of marines that delivered him a rack of Cannon Shells, large conical rounds of ammunition.
Jack unbuttoned his Jacket, and tossed aside the Cape Coat. Slowly he rolled up the sleeves of his shirt exposing a elastic metal banded watch that he slid off, along with the marine signet ring on his other hand and tucking them into his pockets.
"Alright, Hehaha- alright boy. Go on and get out of here for a sink that ship and bring you in by the scruff of your neck!" Jack snatched one of the Shells, and handled it like a 12 pound football.
Bringing it up to his ear and aiming with his other hand, he tossed the round dozens of times faster than any normal canon, giving it a perfect spiral! "Flak Ball!"
"Oh shit!" He said as the others were half way up the stairs, Leroy reeled his fist back and slammed it into the ammunition, causing it to explode in midair meters from making contact!
"Cali! Does ship do anything that can get us away?" He shot his head to the Pink woman. "Uh–...Yeah!" She said as she hustled down the stairs and to the Stern
"Come on son! Have some fun with it!" Jack said as he hurled another shell, then another after another! Both coming oh so close to the ship. "Guess my eyes are getting worse…And my arms!"
Cali pressed a variety of buttons, causing the sails to lower and collapse to the sides of the main mast. Then with another button she pushed the Engine-Room lever all the way to the front where the words 'Great Turbine' sat.
The Back of the Blossom began to open, as a large cylindrical piece of metal sat, tubes coming out from it as it sat on what looked like a hing, the inside began to release vaporous smoke! 'Okay, five seconds…'
Jack threw another one! This time it was right on target! Headed right for Leroy! In a quick motion he leapt up and caught the round with both hands! Feeling his hands begin to burn as he took the same stance as his grandfather!
With a flick of the wrist, remembering all those times he spent playing catch with his grandpa, he flung the round straight back at Jack! Causing it to slam straight into him! Exploding and pushing his back while his hand was raised in a perfect catch.
"Grand Turbine! Fire!" Cali slammed her fist on a large red button, causing a spark to ignite the thruster! A huge cone of fire concentrating in a tremendous roar! The ship was pushed forward from the thrust, skidding and parting the sea like a waterfall and speeding forward!
As it shot forward, picking up more and more speed, 35 knots, 60, 150, 250! 400! The faster it went, the more it began to lift up from the ocean below and began to fly away in a burst of speed! Topping out at 500 knots! Flying over the Horizon!
Jack slammed his hand on the railing with furry, teeth grit as he held his neck, the chronic pain of age shooting through him, mixed with the anger at his grandson before being overtaken by laughter "Haha! Hahaha! Not bad, kid…Not Bad at all!"
Moments later, the Blossom slammed into the ocean again…The Island and the marines gone. "Haha…Hahah! Oh my god! This Ships a rocket?!" Leroy said over his shoulder as he continued to laugh.
"That was awesome!" Dezzi bounced into the air and down the stairs in excitement. "Wow…So thats what that was…" Jeanne spoke, thinking back to the large machine she saw in the workshop section of the ship's 3rd floor.
"Kirk!" Leroy said, leaning on his elbows. "You got a lock on the next Island?" The captain breathed.
Slicking his hair back, Kirk looked at his wrist. Seeing that indeed the Log had been recalibrated. He was waiting for it too, since it'd been 8 days. "Yep! We're locked and ready to go Captain!"
Pushing himself up, he walked down the stairs "Then let's keep movin'!
