"There's also the presence of a logia on board. A member of the Red Sash Pirates I can't speak for her strength but a Logia is a Logia" Leery began again
"Red Sash? Yes. You and Kalikard had reported that was who Azalea Raven was with. And a Logia…There hadn't been reports of one on that crew before. What exactly did you have in mind for her?"
"Initially, she was just Trouble. We don't have anyone who possesses Haki, Despite my concerns for exactly this, but at every chance, the Elders have barred the teaching of it. 'Times are not right' they said."
"I figure it just saves on resources. We have Sea Stone, Heavenly Body and The Six Powers. Any more training could be taxing when so few qualify for CPA 9. And thenthe long time to become even proficient? May not be worth the time"
He sighed, he let his talking get ahead of himself "But as for the Logia, it's been on the Agenda that Dr. Terhertz has been looking for Logias for his Projects correct?"
"Hmm" Hugo rubbed the side of his temple "Yes indeed, The Sea Scourge Project. Good thinking, The Harbingers are quickly moving along. More research could hasten that along quickly. More the Better. Given the Rarity of Logia Type, and their tendency to grow quite prolific."
"Everything has a reason when it comes to you, as always, Leery."
"Anything else?" Leery folded his arms, Hugo responded. "No, nothing yet. It'll be only-" He pulled back the sleeve of his loose black three piece. A large, complex and intricate silver watch on his wrinkled wrist.
"20? Minutes. This train travels at about 400 Kilometers per hour. So it wont be too long before we arrive at The Citadel of Justice." He let out a sigh, and wiped his hand across his very thinning comb over, itching at his jowls. "Actually-"
"What's you plan with the Remainder of Azalea Ravens former Crew?"
"I figured we could paint them on the death of Winslow and destruction of Water 9. Initially, it was going to be The Devil Spawn herself. But, now with the Logia, we can paint it on them, Mint her a bounty, say we executed her, Piracy is discouraged via notoriety increase and ship her off to Tehertz for whatever lab to be dissected at"
"Three total prisoners. Each has a use, you never cease to amaze. Director."
With that, Leery stood, running his long hands along his Blazer to flatten it out before heading to the next car, where the rest of CPA 9 were all sat.
Raven, with that same emotionless look on her face, walked over to where Jeanne had been sat, this train car's seats sat against the wall. Calliope sat across from Jeanne, looking away as she had a sullen look on her face, Gazing out of the cool window glass
"I want you to know, you're in this situation because Leroy chose to come after me." She began, taking a seat next to the Marskwoman. Her words were cold. And she didn't even look at Jeanne
"What? That doesn't matter! You're one of us, Raven! Of course we'd come after you, Leroy isn't to blame for this. But if you're only back here to try and blame Leroy, you can save your breath." She said with a huff. Not looking at Raven. " We're still going to get you out of here." She was nervous, sweat beating beneath her mask as she felt exhausted from her Cuffs.
Raven responded "No, I'm back here because I want to say that I tried to make sure you all got away. And that I'm sorry that you got taken." She blinked heavily
"What do you mean?" Jeanne turned to the Iridescent haired woman. Who still didn't meet her gaze. "I already said I made a contract with CPA. But- one of the conditions was that if I came with them, they would let the rest of you live, and get away."
This confused Jeanne
"W-What? Why wouldn't you just- run? Come back to us!" Jeanne had a pleading sound in her voice, leaning closer to Raven
"Because-" Raven began, biting her lip. "This is CPA 9. There's no way to beat them. This is also the World Government we're talking about…No Pirate could ever hope to go up against them, and win. Or even something that could be considered as a victory."
She shook her head. "The Marines, The Royal Marshals, Cipher Pol themselves, And anyone under the World Governments Command would be after you." Raven let out a sigh as she balled the fist on her knees scratching against her skin
"They'd have killed you all if I didn't come with them. They would've done it and swept it under the rug…Or- made an example out of you." Every time she stopped speaking, was followed by a sigh. Raven tilted her head up to look at the laminated ceiling. Trying to stop the welling of tears in her eyes
"Figures, I was meant to die in Arabasta Being with the crew… I've just been putting it off ever since…"
She Deeply Inhaled "Death never misses its debts." Another sigh, and a blink to get rid of the glossiness in her eyes.
"And now, that time is quickly coming upon us." She relaxed her shoulders, only for Jeanne not to take her eyes off the Scholar. Eyes piercing into her "Raven." She spoke with a serious determined tone that caused the Woman in question to turn- And finally meet her gaze.
Jeannes Gaze was hard, even beneath the smiling visage of the Jolly Mask. "Believe in Leroy."
Those words. It made her heart skip a beat. But it didn't matter. Raven took a deep breath, and looked away to stand to her feet. "I know that they're on their way. But it won't matter, I am still destined to die. Thank You Jeanne, for what it's worth."
"And I'm to the rest of the Crew for the deaths they are about to face…" She tightened her grip and waltzed across the train car.
Jeanne watched as the Scholar walked away. Not taking her eyes off the other until she was on the other side of the door. "Hah…" She sighed. Only for a sound to catch her attention.
"Seems like you have a lot of confidence in this Leroy fellow, huh?" The words came from Calliope.
"Of course I do. He'd do anything for us. And us for him. He'll be the man to become King Of The Pirates." Jeannes said, rolling her wrist in her cuffs.
"Pirate King, huh?" She shifted in her seat, where she had been sitting shoulders leaning against the chair, now had her back towards the seat. "You think he'd be able to beat this shit out of these guys? For what happened?"
She had a tired look in her eyes. Even as a punk, seeing what happened to the City. Both infuriated the punk, but also. Had left her shaken.
"Yeah. I'd say so. I'd probably reckon he'd give them more hell than they've ever seen before." Jeanne said, leaning forward. Cuffs resting between her knees. Calliope's eyes lit up at this. "Really? Shishi-Seems like my kinda guy."
