Chapter 261 - The Full Picture

"I've been to a lot of ruins in my time-" Raven began "But I've never seen one that was quite so old, and this well preserved. It seems the only thing thats effected it is the initial quake from the Jet Stream, and some vegetation invading it. But other than that, it's still standing."

She continued as she walked forward. Bringing the supplies with her before allowing them to settle in the clearing in clear view for the Crew.

"Most of the Time Ruins are, Ruined. The only thing left being a few structural pillars or large structures that stick out of the ground where the plant life or earth around it hasn't yet surrounded yet."

She ran her hand across one of the pillars, seeing the engravings of winged people that looked like the murals in the temple at Cahoderia

"These markings. They're so similar to ones we've already seen, but are apparently from an Entirely different cultures."

"While it's not rare for Cultures to have overlapping similarities. It is strange for it to be so coincidental."

"We'll, they both have wings so it's not that strange." Kirk surmised.

"I don't mean that. Look-" She said poinint to the way the markings swirled and seemed to be smoothly cut. "These aren't just similar. They look like they used the same tools."

Leroy folded his arms as they continued to walk. "Could it be that the Euaderians are from the Same place as the Ska'laians?"

"Maybe. An excellent working theory Leroy."

The Group continued forward. The Scholar sketching down in brilliant detail of what they saw, but also noted everything she could see. But what they were truly after, laid within the ruins.

Coming around the Eastern Side, the Crew saw the opening to the inner Ruins. They could feel a small breeze come from with in as vines covered the area. It seemed clear that any groups that had made it here, didn't disturb or attempt to go into the ruins. For either reasons of superstition or practicality was unknown

"Thank you." She said walking forward. "Kále, could you clear out some of these-" Raven's request was cut short as the Captain grabbed at the Vines and harshly tore them away.

The Crew entered the Ruins. The inside walls were the same as the outside. Intricately carved to not leave the Halls barren stone. Murals of Euaderians on the Jungles of Jaya Vanem. Giant Boars, huge birds, and even murals of fighting what seemed to be people from the sea.

"Seems the Euaderians encountered pirates centuries ago. Before those in the Sky even knew they existed." Raven Theorized. Noting into her notebook.

"Seems like they also thrived" Kirk said.

"Indeed" Noir added as they continued down the long hallway.

Only a short few minutes of slow walking to soak in the surrounding carvings, the Crew came into a large room that was at the center of the Ruins.

The room was a two dozen meters wide, and taller than that. The only light that shined was a small hole in the roof that shined in a ray of sunlight, showing a few stairs at the far wall that led up.

"Let get a bit more light in here." Jeanne said pulling a few supplies out to make a few more torches. Leroy tapping Raven on the shoulder "Make some arms around the room, and we'll place the torches in your hands to light up the whole place. Get a better look"

Raven nodded, raising her hands in position and closing her eyes. Allowing for a multitude of arms and hands to blossom from the walls and floor.

Using a few more pieces of tinder that the Markswoman had cut for fire, they made enough makeshift torches. Allowing for the entire room to be enveloped in the amber light of the flames.

"Wow…" The crew said, almost entirely in unison.

The Room was filled with ivy and vines. Moss covering the walls, and hanging from the ceiling. But even then, the majesty of what they saw was still in excellent view.

The Stairs lead up to what looked to be multiple chairs, like that of the Council room in Cahoderia, but a strange alternate version. In the middle of the chairs was a small golden bell that was detached from its stand, hanging off.

However, that wasn't what the Crew was focused on. Each of their eyes were focused on the ceiling above as Raven pointed their attention.

The roof was covered in a brilliant mural. Just like the Mural in Cahoderia. But instead of telling the story of the Sky Islanders. It told the story of the Euaderians. It seemed to be a missing piece that made everything make sense.

It depicted the Moon

But unlike what the Skyderian Mural, it depicted 8 groups of Winged People on the Surface. 8 Leaders of the each group in a pictograph, the story that was being told spoke of how the 8 groups had came from the World Below, fleeing from something on the blue sea, and escaping it on the moon. Only ending with the groups having some sort of conflict, or disagreement that caused the 8 groups to leave the Moon. And from what was shown, leaving it utterly abandoned.

The 8 Groups flew to the Clouds, all except for one group. That traveled to the Sea Below.

The Euaderians.

That accounted for all of the Groups that the Story of Galvar spoke of. But one mystery was still left. The 8th group. A group of winged individuals who had deep jet black wings and what seemed to be glowing. But nothing the mural depicted explained what they were.

"It makes sense now." Raven began "They truly did come from the Moon."

"Wow…" Leroy was speechless. "Imagine what Lantis would think if he saw this." The Captain covered his brow, walking backwards to keep looking at the Mural.

"I would've never thought it was possible that people could come from the moon of all places." Noir said, releasing the slight acrid smoke from his lips.

"Yeah. The World just gets bigger and bigger the further we go." Kirk said, holding his hands on his hips.

Dezzi held a large smile on their face "I can't wait to see more!"

"That reminds me" Kále looked back down "Where's that, Story Stone thing at?"

The Rest of the Crew returned their attention to the room around them. Shifting around to find anything that could fit that description.

"Search the room, check anything that might look like a-" Leroy looked at Raven. He just realized, he never actually saw what the poneglyph in Arabasta Looked like. "How big is this thing supposed to be?"

"Big." The Captain nodded. "You heard our Archeologist! Try to find a big ass Square!"

The Crew Wiped down the walls, pulling vines and bramble from the stone, Kirk, Leroy, Raven, Kále, Noir, Dezzi and Jeanne searched all the corners of the Room, to the sides of the Stairs, up them, near the chairs, walls closest to the archway they came from. Still Nothing.
