Over the next hour, Dezzi Patched up the Injured Topaz Party. "You guys are Lucky. I almost stabbed you!" They gave a slight smirk, weirding out the Leader who sat wide eyed
"Kidding!" They suddenly Sparkled. "Well…Mostly…" They became quiet, nose twitching and focusing back to the task at hand. While Dezzi wasn't one that enjoyed hurting people, they were certainly capable of violence. That much was clear. They were also becoming far more extroverted in a sense. As long as the crew were around them, they were much more talkative.
The Rest of that Night Was filled with the Crew Setting up camp again a Bit closer into the Western Side of the Jungle. Coming up over a hill that was large enough and Served as a Clearing that they all could see down the other side to where a River sat in the next filling of Thicket.
While it was a very open clearing a top a hill, with a fire going. Who in their right mind would want to try and attack a group that themselves seemed so brazenly confident as to choose a place like that?
The Fire Crackled in the middle of the small campsite. A small pot hung from three sticks stuck into the ground in the shape of a Pyramid. Water Boiled within, Noir gently stirring as he dropped a few cubes of bullion in, creating a rich and savory broth.
Raven and Leroy chatted with each other, while Kirk and Dezzi stayed Busy talking to one another. Jeanne stayed at attention away from the group, taking turns with Kale at different parts of the camp on Guard.
"Hey!" Jeanne called out over her Shoulder. "We Got Company…"
Down the hill from where they came was a group of 4 that was looking out from the brush and up to them. None of them moving. Only Staring…
"What do you think they want..." Leroy said, walking over to the Markswoman. From bellow the hill, the Captain held a near frightfull appearance. His Ebony hair lightly flowing in the night breeze while he backlit by the amber glow of the campfire, Red Sash flapping lightly
"Don't know. I don't see any weapons on them. All adults, Heavy Builds. Could be hand to Hand Combatants." She spoke, attempting to keep her composure. In truth it took a lot from her to keep her Hands Steady. "Maybe we should just Keep an Eye on them-"
Jeanne was cut short as a Shout was released from the captains throat "Hey! You Four!"
The Crew gave a Collective Sigh at the Actions of their Captain. What else did they expect? Even Kirk, the one that would be the most willingly to reprimand such an Action kept Quiet
"You guys just gonna be a bunch of Perverts and watch us?!" He spoke smugly, giving a cocky smirk
"Pfft-" Jeanne held her mouth shut at the sudden crass remark.
The Only Reaction those at the Bottom of the Hill gave was a confused look to one another, an emotion of 'what the hell is wrong with this guy?'
"We, Come in peace?" The leader at the front of the group spoke, tilting his head to the side.
"What the hells goin on?" Spoke another that came from behind
"I, don't know. I was honestly just Expecting to stay here and keep a lookout for the night."
"Do you believe them Leroy?" Jeanne asked with a worried glance
"I mean. Even if they did try and attack us, I don't think anyone in this jungle really poses a threat to us." He said before bounding down the side of the hill.
"Hey! I'm Falcon D. Leroy, Future King Of The Pirates!" Leroy said sticking his hand out
Blinking a few times, in total absolute confusion, the man took his hand and shook it. He heard that these guys were kinda weird, and had heard stories that the only people who tried to come to sky island had a screw loose somewhere, risking their life just to reach here
After some brief introductions, the group of 4 was actually a group of 8. A Family that had come into the Tournament as a bit of an 'Exciting Vacation' and revealed that there were well known paths in Thiya to take if you wanted to avoid any competitive fighting against warriors. One of those paths just so happened to be near the hill that they were on
"So, Where does most of the Fighting happen?" Leroy asked, the Group now sitting around the campfire, exchanging pleasantries. Raven asked one of the others what their experience with these tournaments was.
"Typical Near the North East Section where an open Deserted Plain sit. Rocky, open, and tough terrain makes it an Ideal spot for fighting." Spoke the Father.
"You seem to be Familiar with it." Kále stated. Currently Tending to his blade.
"Indeed I am." The Father then Removed part of his large tunic, revealing a Deep Scar to the Lower end of his Left ribs. "Damn!" Leroy shouted, partially embarrassing the Father only to comment
"I got one of those too!" He said pulling up his Nightwear tee shirt to show the large mangled scar just below his right rib, in his action he reassured the man
"Guess I'm not alone huh? Yea, I was once one of the many guys in Skyderia that always entered the Tournament. Some entered to settle a disagreement, others went in to show some Ugly machismo"
"I was one of em" He said putting back his tunic "Though one of the ways I could feel appreciated was to show how tough I was." He shook his head "I was young, stupid, and didn't see straight. Hormones ya know?"
"But, to be fair. There's plenty that aren't like that that enter the Tourny. Many enter to hone their skills, enter for the Thrill of the Fight, or to make their families proud at winning. Beyond simple ego."
"Kinda describes the Blue sea. Except, like, by a thousand." Kirk said. Sitting down next to Leroy and Leaning on him.
"Yeah, All the fighters are either Honing something, proving something, or trying to achieve something. Can be pretty cool. And pretty bad." Leroy, oversimplified, which caused him to chuckle
