"Wow…" It seemed that after all, Lantis had a piece of what he was wanting to reach, was with him for years.
"Could…You Teach me?" He snapped back. A glow to his eye as he held his own piece of Steelamboon.
"And just why should we?" Spoke another with a long grayed beard. With a frown, Kirk resolved himself "I'm a Navigator! And weather is my Passion. You guys use this stuff to control the weather! Thats what Awoga said!"
His eyes were hard with conviction "I may not be the strongest or a fighter, but it's that very reason I can't fall behind! I don't want to become a Burden to them!"
This sign of conviction caused the men to step back. Their teachings were reserved for only those that showed an aptitude for attunement with Steelamboon and the Magic Arts. "Give us a Moment please." They said before shuffling away, and speaking amongst themselves. It was strange, almost fateful that an outsider had come to them with a piece that was Native to their home…
After waiting with baited breath, and internally thinking of a plan on how he may be able to bribe the men or sneak back to a house and steal their writing, they turned back around and nodded. Confirming that they would in fact teach the Young Navigator.
They told him that it would be a long and hard process. That he would need to practice every day. But this was something he was used to! Navigators had to make minute changes to their courses all the time. Same with how he made changes to his fashion for the day and vibes of an island. Or how he would need to constantly make new sea charts.
At first. It was like like holding a rod and just expecting something to come out of the other end.
"Steelamboom is a Piece of Steel Bamboo that allows you the boon of a focal point. I have researched for many years and have been one of the few that has left Skyderia to learn about the Blue Seas. The Practice of Weatherology, or Weather Sorcery is rare. I spent a decade down below and recounting sources of magic. And in that time only a singular in the in the Big Blue existed." *The Mystic known a Temachtiani, who was lighter skinned but had long grey hair and was the one with a grey beard spoke. Long black and blue cape with beads tied through out and at the ends. His winds that had complex pictograms of clouds on them stuck out through the fabric.*
*He held a single finger up* "Only one."
"Only…One?! But theres so many places that study weather! I read tons of books on it…Tempera, Bilibili, Humi, Forekae, Hailey!" He listed of in rapid succession. His hands still wrapped on the length
"And he went to all of those." Nublado, a shorter man that was heavier set. A Long fluffy mustache on his face like a stratus cloud.
"All of those place. Study Weather. But is it not a fact of life. Not just to understand. But to change? The simple idea of Understanding something. Is changing you just by knowing. And much like weather, life is about change. Flow. And currents. Waves, Clouds, Disasters, Phenomenon. All of it is about change. And those places just learned about that change. Not how to utilize it. Perhaps because there was so much to learn. Or their view was so wide that it was their only focus."
A third tall skinnier man with wings that looked like clouds finished, Teimpo
"But- Then what was the Island? The One that Changed the Weather?" Kirk asked with awe and trepidation.
"Mosphere Island." Temachtiani said. "They Used both Technology and Magic together. They would purposefully cultivate specific type of corn that would allow for rabid humidity release. And then woul use Magic the Same way we do, just under a different name, to manipulate it. Add to it. Change it. They said they once lived on a Desert Island. That was once lush. But after decades of drought and famine."
"They unable to cultivate crops. Get water for as many people as possible. Until one day. A group came together. And discovered or perhaps rediscovered their magic. It was not Wokan. That was observable. But it was tied to their mind. Their wants. Emotions. Feelings."
"Similar to how fighting takes a certain headspace. Or doing mathematics. Doing Magic is its own. All Magic Follows similar rules and is replicable in its own system. Same for Tempio, our Weather Magic. From what we can see, if it controls weather. Its the same as our just with a different name. All magic is infinitely different. And similar…"
"Perhaps one day you'll visit Mosphere….But. One more time." Tema finished
"Raise it up. Focus. Imagine what it is you want. Imagine those 'Thoughts' leaving you. What is it that you would call this Style? What is this Weather Sorcery to you?"
"Atmo…Atmo Magic. Like Atmosphere. It has…Atmo Style!" Mist and droplets began to form at the end of the length. Like precipitation or condensation.
"Good! Good! Steelamboon is not any different than any other piece of Bamboo. It is useful for its rigidity. Its sturdiness. And that makes it perfect for focus!" Teimpo added.
"Or combat!" Kirk focused…Already thinking of ways to utilize weather. That will. That spirit. And mental image. Want, Mental Image, Outcome that was physical in the world, tied with a physical material connection. That was magic! No matter how supernatural the outcome. If it followed those. And even had its own system. It was magic!
"Combat? Hmmm It rare…But with how dangerous the Blue is…Yes. This Atmo sound good. Refine it. Develop it. Create it." Tema finished.

The Third Day came and went. With the fourth day quickly coming along. The Crew Finding themselves standing amidst a crowd
A Large stage and podium had been set up for the Council Members to all appear on stage amidst their people. As it had become blatantly clear, Awoga was the biggest spokesperson for them, and their head. Standing in front of the Podium, she spoke into a funnel to increase her Volume
"Welcome Everyone! Welcome to the 51st Annual Survival Tournament!"
Applause filled the air, whoops of excitement came from the Crew as well. "As you know, these games are quite special to us. Only being held once every 2 years."
"But, I'll be going over the rules a bit more stringently this year, for if you haven't noticed! We have guests!" She said gesturing to the front of the crowd, a few blocking the view moving to expose the Crew
"These are The Red Sash Pirates! And before any of you are alarmed, I have my trust in these individuals. And will be taking part in the Survival Tournament!"
A few jeers came from the more Closed off members of the Crowd, while most held excitement!
"With that out of the way. Let me Explain"
