Chapter 246 - Just Let Time Pass

It wasn't for two weeks until Galvar awoke next. The world around him was in a storm. People were leaving the Sky, taking their risk on the blue with their new found freedom.

Eventually, over the Generations, Other Sky Islands were established by those from Ska'la and other remaining Nations, carrying a hushed past, but a warm heart for where they came from. These Sky Islands were found all across the world and in the Grand Line. Even moving to the Blue. If they had wings, they were surely related to those that came first, from Ska'la.

They carried with them new recipes that would become world renowned; Guacamole, Spiced Jerky, And other culinary Delights were to be thanked for by them.

Those from Euaderia attempted to acclimate, they burned pyre in the name of those that had fallen during their sudden exodus to the sky. Aktani helped heal those around with medicine. The Ska'Laians set up a camp for those freed.

No longer were they separate people. They all worked together. As one, the strife and decades of enslavement gave them commonality to band together.

Weeks after Galvars awakening. Galvar was Harold as a Hero Known as 'Galvar the Brave'

As well he was appointed as leader for those thousands that remained. It was by his guidance that he formed a council. A representative from each of those that Remained from the Nations. Coatl from the Talomayz and their Refugees, Loup from the Euaderians, Aktami for the Pectise, Gonzalez for the Miwan. Over time seats expanded to the modern 7. Murals and Celebrations for the Nuitdians and Pectise were held

Over time, they rebuilt. Renamed.

They were now Skyderia. Land that sat in the Sky.

86 Years Later

Galvar sat on the edge of Skyderia. Watching the white sea flow in front of him as Coatl walked behind him. It was a miracle the two were still alive together. Both their wrinkled bodies were tattered in scars, but also adorned in tattoos. A Sign of Seniority and Solidarity with Euaderia.

In the 86 Years, another Miracle had happened. Coatl and Galvars wings had regrown. Now adorned in colors and accessories that would come to denote the people they both looked over

"Hey." Cotal spoke. Voice hoarse.

"Hey" Galvar responded in his own Hoarse voice

Sitting down next to him. The two stared out into the White sea for long moments. Surely reminiscing over all they'd gone through. What Galvar had guessed would happen had come. Pillagers known as Pirates from the Blue came. But they were dealt with, just as the remnants of those loyal to Tejolo were.

Finally, Coatl spoke

"You think I did it?" He gazed at the man next to him, who returned a curious look. "Did what?"

"Atone. For all I did." He sullenly shifted back to the sea

"Tch, Gahaha…86 years, and 110 odd years- And you still wonder if you've made up for what you did in your 20's?"

Coatl looked back, mouth open to respond but was stopped by the wrapped stump of Galvar. "To answer, you've brought more lives into this world by simply helping deliveries at the hospital than any Life you took. And have more than made up for those you imprisoned with overseeing the future of our people."

"Sure. You'll have to live with those Demons for the Rest of your Days. But hey, you've been livin' with a Demon this whole time" He cracked a smirk, giving Coatl a wink.

"Cahaha. Yeah. I guess you're right." He said hunching forward, holding his hands in his crossed lap. Just being with Galvar made him happy. The two stayed there for what felt like hours, staring at the sun over the horizon. Letting the cool wind flow through each others braided hair.

Finally Coatl stood to his feet and turned and began walking "You comin'? The Games should be starting soon."

A slight smile rested upon galvars lips as he responded. "I might just wait here for a little bit, Let Time pass…"

Present Day

"Galvar lived to be 135. Dying on what is believed to be the near century anniversary of our Freedom at his and those that arrived from the Jet Current from the sea below with all those that he'd helped free." Spoke Awoga, tears in her eyes.

"We hold these games as a Reminder of the Struggle that our ancestors and my Great Great Grandfather went through for our sake. Friendly but fierce competition that people sign up to be apart of merely to have a chance to wander their Ancestors homeland." She referred to the land mass from Jaya that came to be known as Thiya.

Tears welled in Ravens eye as she finished writing. The more emotional of the crew all held a similar disposition to the story. Leroys eyes watered as he thought to the immense bravery of those who fought.

It took a few moments for the crew to recollect themselve. Those like Kale and Noir were stoic while the sat silently. Eventually the silence was broken

"May I ask a question?" Raven raised her hand

"Certainly" Awoga answered

"Do-" Raven cleared her throat of the lump as she steeled herself "Do you know if you are in possession of a Poneglyph?"

"A Pone- Ah! The Story Stone. There was Pirate some 20 years ago that came Here looking for one. But it's away in the Ruins of Thiya. A bit of an attraction for those that enter into the Survival Tournament. Some join just to see it!"

"Heh. Guess that's a reason to join these games even more now!" Leroy smiled, giving a pat on Ravens back.

"Hm." Awoga pondered as she tapped her chin. The games were typically a close held time of celebration. While It wasn't sacred like a religious practice, It was held dear. So potentially having outsiders potentially mess it up was a thought. But Awoga had her ways to see that they wouldn't be of any trouble

"Sure. Why not!" She gave a nonchalant shrug of her shoulders, before letting her back hunch forward again

"I really must say Awoga, that was a wonderful story!" Jeanne complimented

"Yea!" Kirk added on

"Yes yes, well. We don't particularly know how much of it is true, and how much of it is false. Skyderia has became a very much…How would you say- Skeptical? Of the Beliefs in Gods and deific entities."

The Crew Turned to follow her with their gaze as she walked by. Continuing to speak. "The Only gods among us are Living. Not something that just stands idly by as a spectator to grief and strife."
