Chapter 239 - The Others

The Others Came.

The Came From the North on Boats that could could tread the rapid convulsions of the White Sea. While those of the East, West, and North East had their ways. And the Wings they had certainly helped. But on a scale such as this? An Invasion of Land had Never Happened in their Recorded history like this.

Full Caravels and Galleons Approached the shores. These were no ships of the Making from any Nation that the Pectise had ever seen before!

Clubs of Deep Black Shards embedded into Bala wood. Carved with Deities and Geometric shapes were slung through the air! The Sharpened Blades that had been knapped from the Volcanic Obsidian that'd been knocked from the Jet Stream that had been near their Section of Sky Island.

Skulls Were Split, blood poured across the paved streets of the Pectise Settlement. Fighters adorned in skins from the White Sea animals and Armor made of Bala and Sinew that were tied together in Panels protected their Organs. Their hand emanated a haze. Almost like a fog that rippled with energy. It allowed their hands to be strengthened!

One of the Warrior Sprinted forth! Their wings furled out behind them before giving a strong gust downward with a flap of their wings! Propelling them forward! Hands clawed before being shot out in front of them to the Invader that was adorned in Colored leather and Feathers! Feathers taken from the fallen Sky Islanders they had killed and added to the crown he wore. A Skull of an animal serving as a Mask across their face! They hunched forward to engage their opponent! Raising their Club above their head and slicing down!

The Warrior from Pectise was surprised by the mans speed, with concentration, the fog extended to the man's forearms! The Clubs made contact with the flesh of the Winged man, cutting deep! If he hadn't expanded this power he held, which reinforced his body, surely his arms would've been bisected!

This expert warrior was quick to realize this. He'd never seen anything like it before! There'd been rumors that these secluded people could do strange things…

To future people of Skyderia, and to the People of Pectise. This was a Power known as Wokan. A spiritual power that was said to allow one to defend themselves. The Pectise believed that this came from the soul, granted by the God of The Sun to Protect them.

But it seemed that this wasn't able to save the Pectise warrior from the Expertise of his Enemy! Who raised the Volcanic Glass club horizontally and ripped it forward! Making contact with the man's jaw! Cleaving the flesh and tearing the muscle! Causing the man's mandible to hang from his skull and grotesquely gargle on his own blood before falling to his knees.

Grabbing his head by the braided black hair, the Invader dragged him to the where a Mystic would sacrifice him amidst the invasion. Believing that it would strengthen them and lead them to victory. And those that weren't sacrificed were taken Captive. Women were forced into sex by the invaders. Children murdered or taken to be forged into warriors. And anyone that gave themselves up would be kept to be forced into labor.

These Invaders from the Far North were Known as the Tolamayz.

The Tolamayz were on a rampant warpath paved in blood and viscera. Sacrifices made on a grand scale that bordered on utter genocide of total peoples. The Eastern Sky Islands were not merely home to just the Sherokines, But other Minor Peoples whos names were lost to time with the Utter and Sheer destruction of their Islands. The Strongest Members of the Tolamayz were left behind to wreak utter havoc across the Sky Islands until nothing was left. Not even the Clouderia was left when they were done. Erasing their Cities and any history they had.

First it was the Pactise and those of the Eastern Islands. Then it was The Nuitdians Of the North. The Tolamayz had purposefully cut of the Pacti People first due to their mysterious ways, and to ensure that there would be no potential trouble from them in the future. They then wiped away the Nuitdians, their small colony served no purpose to the Tolamayz beyond using their fat for fuel and polishing their weapons.

The next to go were those…of Ska'La.

"Run! Run! Run! Leave! Get out of Here! A Father Pushed their Child out of the Way! Falling to their knees and scrapping their hands as they looked up to the horror that was the Blaze around them. Bala Thatch houses were ignited from the Tolamayz Invaders. Their father held his arm as deep crimson bled. The warrior dawned a Jade mask that held a fierce visage carved into it.

The Child behind rolled to their knees and stood before flapping their wings as hard as they could. They'd only just learned how to fly. Zipping just above the ground the fathers wings splayed out! A Threat. A sign that he intended to fight as he stood tall and puffed his chest out. The Tolamayz did the same as he looked back to the Father.

Their clash was intense! The Father was one of the Trained warriors of Ska'la! A hunter that could wrangle down Wingson with his bare hand! He used his thick feathered wings as a shield from the sharp volcanic glass, delivering a punch, a kick, and rammed his forehead into the Jade mask of the Invader! Causing a deep crack to form and a chunk to fall to the ground revealing the deep scowl of the Warrior beneath!

Blood splattered the ground! The exchange only lasted a few moments. The few moments that he wished he could've bought for his child was not obtained as the child was pulled from the sky by another warrior! Dozens more feathers adorning their head.

Blood splattered the Clouderia wall, and the child was dragged away

The Entire village of Ska'la burned that day. Hundreds were slaughtered by Obsidian Glass weapons. Skulls pashed in, Wings Scalped of their feathers to adorn their heads in the sign of victory. Hundreds more were sacrificed in the name of their leader.

The Result was the Entire Population of the Ska'laians being forced into Labor in the land they once called their home. Rudimentary walls were erected, turning their once thriving village into a mere prison out in the open. Forced to the Fields and to the mines to bolster the construction of the Tolamayzian's new City. Far into the Blank Fields they'd found a way to pull their once small island from the North and transplant it on to the Land where Ska'laians had roamed and fished for decades.

For the Next 60 years this became the new norm for those of Ska'la. With the Sheer utter defeat of Miwan Nation to the West just 10 years after Ska'la was Enslaved, Those that remained were camped together in the remains of Ska'la.

Miwans, Pactiese, Sherokines, Ska'laians. All were huddled together under the shared oppression of the Tolamayz. The one Clan that had not been seen in the huddled masses were the Niutdians. Who had been utterly erased
