"Natalie, when did you arrive in Paris?" Ryan asked Natalie the same question she had asked but phrased it differently.
Natalie realized this was a boutique that specialized in women's clothing and couldn't help but realize the normally calm Ryan looked a bit flustered. 'Could it be that the reports she had received about Ryan were true?'
She knew they had both been forced into the engagement because of their family, but she had always loved Ryan ever since they were little and couldn't be happier when their families wanted them to join together in marriage. But after a few casual dates, Ryan always gave an excuse whenever she asked him out.
He was either busy or was in a meeting when she called him. If she hadn't paid one of his secretaries to keep tabs on him and report his activities to her, she wouldn't have known he had gone to Paris on vacation. But why would he go on a vacation alone and not with her, his fiancee? Didn't it mean he was hiding something?
