Acheron stared at the location and address of the letter before a small brow furrow emerged. This was going to take a while wasn't it?
Two options were presented to him.
One, join a carriage heading towards Tiandou City
Two, use pure speed and hope he wouldn't get lost.
Acheron thought for a bit before asking a random passerby for directions towards Tiandou city. In an instant with a crackle of lightning he disappeared on the spot.
However the only positive event was that he had only found himself lost twice. The looming mountain of the sect soon appeared in front of him.
Acheron took a small break at the nearest fruit shop before taking a bag of peaches away.
The entrance was close as he made his way to the entrance of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile sect.
After a moment, a voice was heard.
"Halt!"
Instinctively he turned his head to stare at the two people as the source of the voice. The two stood near him with a neutral tone questioning him.
"What brings you near our territory?" The two raised their guards up as Acheron put his hand into his coat sleeve before producing a letter.
"A girl named Ning Rongrong left this letter after stealing my umbrella. The umbrella itself does not have much value. However, it is a very sentimental object to me."
The two guards soon looked at the letter before their faces darkened. The handwriting was clearly the work of the young miss.
The two soon looked at Acheron with a hint of pity in their faces. Acheron himself was still confused about their looks.
"Follow us, we'll inform the sect leader about this."
Acheron soon sat outside on a bench waiting for a response while snacking on a peach.
Meanwhile inside the private room, a few people had dark faces with a hint of pity. Poor lad, had an important memento snatched by his own daughter.
However his pity only extended for a moment as he noted that this mad had allegedly travelled from Soto to Tiandou within a day.
This was no ordinary person.
Feng Zhi was already beginning to suspect that his daughter may have brought big trouble to their sect.
"Feng Zhi, what's troubling you?" A voice resounded as an old man with sharp eyes and waist-length white hair walked in.
"Uncle Jian!"
After hearing the story and looking at the letter he could only let out a small chuckle. Feng Zhi glared, "Is this not because we spoil her too much? Sheltering her with our status? Especially you Chen Xin!"
The Sword Douluo could only scratch his cheek as the allegations were grounded in evidence. Feng Zhi seethed internally cursing his own soft heart.
"Now she goes around stealing items from random people. What if he's someone we can't afford to offend?"
Chen Xin sighed, "Regardless we have a responsibility to address this issue." Ning Fengzhi sighed before the two of them walked outside to talk to the mysterious ranger.
The two were stunned when they realised that the man was asleep holding his odachi and bag of peaches.
A furrowed brow emerged on Ning Fengzhi's head while Chen Xin tried his best not to laugh. However that laughter was silenced immediately once he took a closer look at that sword. A curved long sword, something very rarely seen on Douluo.
That sword however was creepy. It's sheath made it look like a normal sword with slightly strange specifications. But that hilt told him it was something else. The blade was not normal, he could even feel that the sheath was not enough.
The blade could likely cut even with the sheath on.
Ning Fengzhi coughed as Acheron raised his head to meet eyes with the two. Immediately they took notice of the unique diamond shaped pupil. The man was getting more interesting by the moment.
He stood up and greeted the two men who had awoken him. "Hello, you can call me Acheron, a wandering ranger." The two remembered his name as he shook hands with them.
"I assume that you two are the caretakers of this Miss Ning Rongrong?"
The two nodded as Ning Fengzhi introduced them.
"This here is Chen Xin, Ning Rongrong's grandpa and I am her father." He felt uncomfortable as Acheron gave him a look that almost screamed, "So this is the tree the apple fell from."
"I'd like to retrieve my umbrella. If you'd be so kind to ask your daughter to return it I'd really appreciate it." He spoke before Chen Xin interrupted him, "Let's not worry about this umbrella matter for now. I see that you also wield a sword. How about a round or two?"
Acheron asked, "If I comply will you help me retrieve my umbrella?"
Chen Xin laughed "Of course, of course. It is partially our fault for spoiling her. I'll personally see to it that your umbrella is returned."
Acheron nodded "Very well, let's make this quick." Ning Fengshi simply stared in shock. Was that man looking for a death warrant? Trying to fight the Sword Douluo, a level 96 powerhouse?
Chen Xin grinned "Let's head to the arena then."
The group soon made their way to a vast mountain top with numerous scratches and sword marks.
Ning Fengshi stood as the referee and judge while the two stood opposite towards each other. However Chen Xin didn't seem to have much fighting spirit in his eyes due to not feeling any spirit energy from the ranger.
Besides, he was level 96. There was hardly anyone he needed to fear. However the tranquil eye staring at him was giving him the creeps in a weird way. He could almost see the other eye behind the bang staring at him too.
The blade as well, a very ominous hilt and feel.
"Chen Xin, Martial Soul: Seven Kill Sword"
"Title: Sword"
There are distinctions between a titled douluo and a non titled douluo. A title douluo is usually a title given by the Spirit Hall in recognition of a powerhouse above level 90.
However some douluo's who have reached the realm of titled douluo may give themselves a title.
Acheron simply repeated after him after some pondering.
"Acheron. No martial soul"
"No title, just think of me as a wandering ranger."
