Chapter 7 - The Hunt for More Supplies

The next day, Jenna and her zombie crew woke up—well, as much as zombies wake up—and set off for another hoarding adventure. Today, they were heading toward the nearby hardware store. Jenna had spotted it on her last scavenging trip, and it was full of things that could be *really* useful. She was determined to grab everything from tools to paint cans.

"Alright, team, we're going to the hardware store!" Jenna groaned, feeling extra proud of her leadership. The zombies groaned back, in what she thought was agreement.

As they reached the store, Jenna realized this one might be trickier. The place was more fortified. The windows were boarded up, and there were barricades at the entrance. She tilted her head, confused. "Uh… that's a bit much, don't you think?" she muttered to herself.

But then Jenna remembered her special ability. She could just *make things disappear* into her space. With that thought, she grinned and marched forward. "Don't worry, team. I've got this!"

The humans who had fortified the store were long gone, but the wreckage of their attempts at safety was still there—broken boards, empty cans, and makeshift barricades. Jenna pulled out her space key (in the form of some abstract hand-waving) and made the entrance vanish into thin air.

The zombies shambled inside, and Jenna immediately spotted her prize: shelves full of tools. Hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, and even an old chainsaw that looked like it hadn't been used in years.

She started grabbing everything, one item after another, shoving them into her space like it was the greatest treasure trove ever discovered. "Hammers! Screwdrivers! Nails!" Jenna announced, each item disappearing into her personal dimension with a *pop*.

But soon, Jenna's horde grew a little too ambitious. The zombie squad, while slow, was determined to help. They started grabbing everything in sight. They found boxes of nails and started shoving them into the space with reckless abandon, causing a huge pile of metal to collapse onto one of the zombies, who groaned loudly but wasn't hurt.

"Careful, careful!" Jenna called out, but the zombies didn't really seem to hear her. They were too busy grabbing more things, like random buckets of paint and an old generator.

Jenna sighed. "Okay, okay. We've got enough for today." She made a quick hand gesture, and all the zombies froze, their arms outstretched and holding random objects. "Let's go back to the warehouse."

As they trudged back to their hideout, Jenna looked proudly at her now even more packed space. "More tools for the hoard. We'll fix things up nice and tidy tomorrow."

The zombies groaned in what could have been agreement. Or maybe they just groaned because they were zombies. Jenna didn't really know.
