Chu Yan had been away for several months and upon his return, he hastily got in touch with Qin Zhao.
"Zhaozhao, have you been feeling uncomfortable?"
"Where have you been all this time?"
Chu Yan explained, "I was with the Netherworld Emperor, trying to capture King Zhuanlun, but unfortunately, he escaped. He was seriously injured, though, so he shouldn't be able to cause any trouble for the time being."
"You didn't run into any danger, did you?"
"Not at all!"
His wife was still concerned about him, and Chu Yan's heart couldn't help but feel delighted.
"Zhaozhao, may I come to see you?"
He calculated the days; it was nearly Qin Zhao's due date, and he must stay by her side.
"Come."
Qin Zhao turned off the communication just in time to see Shangguan Qiu come back.
She could clearly sense something different about Shangguan Qiu; his presence was much stronger.
"How is your cultivation going?"
"Quite well."
