"Mom, Ah Hao and I are doing well," Wen Shufei said with a headache as soon as she heard Mrs. Jing nagging.
"I'm going to take a shower; maybe you should watch some TV," Wen Shufei said as she headed back to her room.
Mrs. Jing snorted internally, clearly seeing her daughter-in-law's impatience, which was unexpected as everything seemed fine before the marriage.
Wen Shufei wasn't really misbehaving; she just disliked Mrs. Jing's nagging. She came from a distinguished background and matched Jing Hao well in social status.
Now newly married, Wen Shufei and Jing Hao got along well, but she was also a decisive person with a strong career orientation. Proud and firm at heart, she felt that Mrs. Jing disliked her and always picked faults with her; thus, Wen Shufei disliked dealing with Mrs. Jing.
Feiling, thanks to Xia Xiao's advice, would occasionally bring gifts for Mrs. Jing when she came home, even though Mrs. Jing verbally disregarded them, she actually cherished them greatly.
