Stir-fried garlic sprouts with pork belly, scrambled eggs with chives, cabbage stewed with tofu, and a soup of pork bones stewed with carrots and corn—Luo Dahua had prepared all home-cooked dishes. Although she asked this way, she mostly picked up slices of meat.
Yang PeiMin helped her bring it over and kept it warm in the kitchen.
When she returned to the dining table, the crowd had started chatting under Luo Dahua's lead, and on her own bowl, there were two pieces of lean meat and a chopstick-full of eggs. Smiling, it seemed to be Shen Yiguang's doing.
