Mu Qian and Mu Xiao were in the home theater, striving to produce tears.
On the large screen in front of them, an old classic film, "Mother is the Best in the World," played, its age evident. As the sad scenes unfolded, Mu Qian glanced at Mu Xiao and saw his eyes remained dry, with no hint of tears.
He looked at the clean bowl placed in front of him, then, pointing to the crazed woman on the screen, he said to Xiao'er, "Imagine her as your mother, Wen Jiaren."
After hearing this, Mu Xiao turned to him with a puzzled expression and asked, "Why?"
"Just imagine she looks like your mom and you'll be able to," Mu Qian said.
Mu Xiao pouted, "But I know she isn't Jiaren; I can't imagine it."
Mu Qian observed him in silence for a few seconds before turning off the movie and opening his laptop. He found a video he had made after their parents went to sleep earlier in the day. He played it for Mu Xiao, "Continue watching."
