Chen Ke discovered an issue; recently, Mai Qiqi, who used to call him several times a day, had disappeared as if vanishing into thin air—no phone calls, no sightings.
Previously, it wasn't to say they would meet every day, but at least there would be a meeting every other day.
Upon reflection, he realized this situation seemed to have persisted for a week.
Could something have happened?
Chen Ke found an excuse to leave the office and went to a deserted place outside to call Mai Qiqi.
After dialing three times, just as Chen Ke was about to dial one more time and if still no answer, he would call the Mai Family; the fourth call was picked up after three rings.
"Hello, Qiqi."
"Mr. Chen, this isn't Sister Qiqi, I'm Jiang Lingling," the call was answered not by Mai Qiqi.
He knew Jiang Lingling, Jiang Ke Chu's cousin, who had started some sort of studio with Mai Qiqi.
"Let Mai Qiqi take the call," said Chen Ke, pausing before he spoke.
