Fanno stared at her lying in the pool of blood; cracks began to emerge in those deep blue eyes. He felt as if a knife had plunged deep into his heart, twisting viciously, causing pain that cut to the very core.
Trembling, he extended his pale hand and gripped her cold, soft little hand tightly. "Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you."
He pressed her acupuncture points, and the bleeding below stopped quickly.
He lifted her horizontally and turned to walk out.
"No," Mi Yao clutched his clothes tightly, "Yue Ming… Yue Ming is having another bout of poison... he needs my blood... I can't leave..."
Fanno halted in his tracks, turned with her in his arms, and looked toward Huai Fu Yue Ming, who sat on the ground, looking as disheveled and bewildered as a beast struck by an arrow.
Tears in Mi Yao's eyes fell "pitter-patter," "Young Master Fanno, I must go to him."
She was in his arms, so she could only beg him to carry her over.
