His brows furrowed.
"Wait. If a Beast Tamer possessed a Rank Five beast, would the Fourth Layer really prevent them from using it entirely?"
That seemed… wrong, as it would effectively cripple an entire class of Awakeners whose strength came from their contracted creatures.
