The pressure that descended upon the city did not come from a single source. There were two.
The first felt familiar. It was from the female Demigod in the sky.
When it first arrived, the pressure had inspired awe, feeling ancient and majestic, like the arrival of a creature that naturally stood above lesser lifeforms.
This time, however, that same presence had become far more reckless and far more forceful.
There was no restraint behind it. It crashed down upon the city like an invisible ocean, forcing buildings to groan and countless beings to collapse beneath its weight.
As for the second pressure, it felt completely different.
There was no aggression behind it. It seemed to be nothing more than the natural aura released by the creature as it appeared. Yet somehow, it was just as powerful.
The two pressures overlapped. Together, they became something so oppressive that even Michael, who had mentally prepared himself, was forced down onto one knee.
