Then Michael suddenly laughed. The other Michael laughed as well. Even their timing was identical.
"I guess this is what happens when someone lives two completely different lives."
The Origin Michael nodded. Though they shared memories, each body experienced things the other did not.
Over time, tiny differences accumulated. Those differences eventually became habits. Those habits became temperament. And temperament became presence.
The Aurora Michael crossed his arms. "If someone met us separately, they probably would not even realize we are the same person."
"Most likely."
The Origin Michael glanced down at his own somewhat elegant dark robes, then toward the simple t-shirt and jeans worn by his counterpart.
The contrast alone was enough to tell a story. It was almost amusing. Despite being the same individual, their auras had diverged so much that they felt like twins raised in entirely different worlds.
Which, in a sense, they were.
