Michael watched with sharp eyes. If the earlier surge had earned Beginning five levels… what would pushing it further do?
Michael gritted his teeth.
"More," he said.
Gale surged again, his wings sweeping wide as another blast followed, this time accompanied by a faint howl of pressure cracking space itself.
Beginning finally moved.
His legs bent. Knees slightly buckled. For the first time since the start of the barrage, he reacted.
Then—
BOOM.
A shockwave burst from Beginning's body like a living explosion.
Michael braced instinctively.
The entire pocket space shivered.
Beginning slowly stood straight again, his posture now absolute.
And then came the aura.
A second surge. It didn't match the first in violence but in depth.
Like a blade that had been tempered after the initial forging.
Michael's lips parted slightly. "Again…?"
