Chapter 395 - Chapter 394: Emergency Recruitment

Hope had come too suddenly, like a tornado sweeping away the gloom in Kaminari's heart.

Even though he hadn't heard the plan yet, just seeing Momo's expression was enough to fill him with confidence in this hope.

He didn't even know when he had come to trust her so deeply.

"Kaminari, do you remember Kyoka's battle suit? The key to finding her lies in that suit!"

Momo didn't waste time with comforting words. She knew what he needed right now was a concrete solution, not empty sympathy.

"Her battle suit…" Kaminari muttered, beginning to reflect on what she meant. The others also turned thoughtful.

"That's right!" Momo nodded with conviction.

"The intelligent control program on Kyoka's battle suit is essentially a subroutine of 'Pikachu.' As long as it's still active, it has to communicate with Pikachu continuously!"

"So if Pikachu checks the last location where the subroutine exchanged data, we'll know where Kyoka is!"

"Yes!!" Kaminari trembled with excitement, murmuring to himself.

"As long as the battle suit wasn't destroyed the moment she was teleported—even if it stayed active for just one second—we can trace the teleportation destination!"

"Then what are we waiting for? Pikachu, check the last location where Kyoka's suit appeared!" Tetsutetsu shouted.

Kaminari's parents lit up with joy at the sudden turn of events.

"Pikachu!" Kaminari called out. Pikachu responded immediately. Its eyes emitted a faint blue glow, and a virtual light screen was projected into the air.

Soon, a pinpointed location appeared on the virtual map. But just as the atmosphere became hopeful, everything froze again.

The location shown was the same forest clearing they had just been in together. And the last signal timestamp was from that same night.

"How could this be…" Momo covered her mouth in disbelief. Was her idea wrong?

Just then, Kaminari's eyes lit up as he recalled the scene from that night. "It's the white-masked guy's Quirk!"

"White mask?" the others asked, confused.

"Yeah, I remember… a guy wearing a white mask took Kyoka away. His Quirk turns people into small balls!" Kaminari clenched his fists as the memory came back.

"Maybe in that ball form, the connection is severed. So if they restore Kyoka to normal, even for a second, we can locate them again."

But what puzzled him was why the League of Villains hadn't changed Kyoka back after an entire day.

"So that's it. Then all we can do now is wait for Kyoka's battle suit to send out even a brief signal," Momo said thoughtfully, pressing her right hand to her chin.

Then she lifted her head and smiled. "If you think about it from another perspective, this might not be a bad thing."

"Huh?" Kaminari looked at her, puzzled. To him, finding the location as soon as possible and rushing there seemed obviously better.

He had already made up his mind, once he found the League of Villains, he would wipe them out. Even if All For One himself appeared, Kaminari wouldn't hesitate to act.

Even if they used the deal between them as leverage, he no longer cared. This incident had pushed him over the edge.

This time, they took Kyoka. Would it be his parents next?

As for being suspected by heroes, he didn't care anymore. He had the power now to follow through with whatever choice he made.

"During this time, we can contact the police and the heroes, make full preparations, and head out the moment we confirm the location," Momo said.

"That's definitely the safest option."

Kaminari's father agreed immediately. In his view, the police and pro heroes should handle the rest. Kaminari and the others should stay out of it.

A student died during this forest training camp. That alone proved how dangerous the League of Villains was.

To be honest, he and Kaminari's mother had even considered pulling Kaminari out of U.A. and transferring him to a prestigious private school.

With their current situation, even if he never became a hero, he could still live a good life. Why risk his life every day dealing with villains?

This wasn't a unique sentiment. Many Hero Course families were deeply shaken and considering withdrawing their children.

Even among junior high parents, who had previously encouraged their kids to apply to U.A., many were now advising them to reconsider. It was clear the world was undergoing drastic change.

After the discussion, Momo immediately called U.A.'s principal and reported everything in detail.

This greatly surprised the principal and the U.A. staff. They quickly informed the police.

Meanwhile, Kaminari, Momo, and Tetsutetsu rode in the Yaoyorozu family's luxury car to U.A., where everyone was set to gather.

"Sir Endeavor, your phone."

As evening approached, Endeavor was reviewing documents in his Tokyo office when his secretary approached with the phone.

"Who is it?" Endeavor asked, not looking up.

"They say it's Officer Tsukauchi. He says it's urgent," the secretary replied.

"It's me," Endeavor said, holding the phone to his ear. A voice came through from the other side.

"Endeavor, the police are requesting your immediate deployment!"

"What's the situation?"

"We're going to round up the League of Villains!"

At the same time, several top-ranked heroes received emergency summons: All Might, currently ranked No. 1, Best Jeanist at No. 4, Gang Orca at No. 10, All Might's mentor Gran Torino, the Pussycats' Tiger, and the rising heroes Kamui Woods and Mt. Lady.

Also summoned was Kaminari's mentor, the No. 5-ranked pro hero Edgeshot, who once trained in the infamous Aokigahara Suicide Forest.

"You're in a hurry, huh? Wait for me."

Suddenly, things began to shift. Forces converged from all directions. As the sky darkened, tension rose.

In a warehouse somewhere in Kamino City—since their previous bar had been destroyed—Tomura Shigaraki, Kurogiri, Dabi, and Compress had relocated.

This warehouse had originally been used to store Nomu, and over a dozen were still stationed there.

As for Twice, Himiko Toga, and Muscular, they had been taken to All For One for treatment. That left only the four of them at the moment.

Even so, Tomura was in a great mood, because every channel on TV was buzzing about their latest "achievement."

Reclining on the sofa, Tomura turned off the TV with the remote and smiled.

"All right. Let's see who that lightning bastard cares about so much."

"What a shame. If we'd managed to grab that brat Bakugo Katsuki again, we might have gotten ourselves another recruit."
