"Now... tell me the name or I'll chop your head off right away."
I said the words slowly and clearly, my voice low and cold. I lowered my black sword and rested the sharp edge against the side of Eliza's neck. The blade pressed lightly into her skin. One small movement would be enough.
Her own sword lay broken in pieces beside her. Blood continued to drip from the corner of her mouth.
*Tip* *Tip*
Each drop hit the broken concrete with a soft sound and mixed with the dust.
Eliza's chest rose and fell slowly. Her blue eyes stared up at the night sky. She did not try to move or speak yet. The yellow aura around her body was almost completely gone.
A short distance away, the rescue work continued under the orange glow of the remaining fires.
"Hurry up! Bring the other truck!" one firefighter shouted. The water in the first truck had run out. They needed a second fire truck to keep fighting the flames that still licked at the ruined walls of the hotel.
