Sunlight penetrated the grey curtains, and Avery snuggled into Alex's arms. She felt uncomfortable with the change in position. She snuggled deeply into his arms, however, she felt uneasy. She wanted to vomit. With a groan, she got out of bed and rushed to the bathroom. Alex got started with her sudden movement. She buried her face in the toilet and vomited -Alex held her hair back to support her. His hand rubbing her back and his other hand holding her hair, Avery was able to vomit up everything she had eaten last night. She flopped on the floor, and her head rested on his arm.
"Are you OK?" Alex asked in a soft tone.
Avery nodded."I think I overate last night."
Alex furrowed his brows; he wasn't convinced by what she said." Should I call the doctor?"
She shook her head at him.
"I'm fine Alex, I just overate last night." She reassured him.

The chair was pushed back for her to sit. The aroma in the kitchen was everything her stomach needed. Her tummy growled as she inhaled the aroma of the chicken soup.
"Mmm." Avery moaned as the soup landed on her taste buds. This was heaven.
Alex chuckled at her, he pushed rice pudding in her way, since she enjoyed it the last time.
Avery scrunched her nose.
"What's that smell?" She asked as she held her nose.
"Rice pudding, Avery?"
Avery stared at the pudding in front of her. She shook her head and pushed it away.
"I don't like the smell." She said
"Maybe a different chef made this. It's fine if you don't want it."
After breakfast, Alex showed her around the manor. A bodyguard approached them with a brown envelope in hand.
He stretched his hand towards Alex and gave him the envelope.
Alex nodded at him, then he turned to his wife and handed her the envelope.
"What is this?" Avery asked with a smile. Her eyes widened when she read the content. She looked at him to be sure she wasn't seeing things.
"You actually filed a lawsuit against her?"
Alex hugged her and hummed.
"I promised you, didn't I?"
Acery peeked at his cheeks.
"Thank you."
Alex rolled his eyes and frowned at her.
"Just that?" He pointed at his lips.
"C'mon. You can do better." He said to her.
This time it was Avery who rolled her eyes at him and kissed his lips.
