In perfect silence, the Soul King lifted his hand. The lightning froze midair, suspended just inches from Lisa's body. Every spark and arc held still, glowing but trapped, as if caught inside invisible glass.
"That's enough, are you convinced now Misa?"
Misa didn't move. She couldn't. She stared at the frozen attack in shock, knowing full well she would have been completely vaporised the moment it touched her.
Rentaro stood back, his strongest move completely shut down—trapped in the Soul King's time stasis like it meant nothing at all.
Her momentary fears changed instantly, a smile curled up the side of her lips. It was the first time she had ever been backed into a corner like that, though it was scary at first, those fears turned into excitement, the thought of someone stronger than her was a motivational boost more than a let down.
