The moon hung high in the sky, casting a silvery glow over the forest as Kiran continued his journey deeper into the heart of the wild. With every step, he felt the remnants of his battle lingering in the air—the energy, the thrill, the taste of victory. But beneath that exhilaration was an urgent curiosity that tugged at him.
"System, can you show me my current status?" Kiran asked, his voice barely above a whisper. He was eager to learn more about his newfound abilities.
"Accessing interface…" the System replied, and Kiran felt a rush of energy as a translucent screen materialized in his mind's eye, illuminating the darkness around him.
The interface was sleek, adorned with ethereal symbols that glimmered softly in the moonlight. It displayed his stats in clear, concise terms:

Kiran's mind raced as he contemplated the implications. He had never had such insight into his abilities before, and the opportunity to grow stronger in a targeted way excited him. "What attributes can I enhance?"
"You have five attributes to choose from: Strength, Agility, Intelligence, Endurance, and Qi Control," the System listed. "Each attribute enhances specific aspects of your abilities."
Kiran considered each option carefully. Strength would bolster his physical power, allowing him to deliver more devastating attacks. Agility would increase his speed and reflexes, making him harder to hit. Intelligence would enhance his tactical thinking and ability to manipulate the shadows. Endurance would improve his overall resilience, while Qi Control would strengthen his ability to channel and manipulate his Qi.
"I think I should focus on Agility and Qi Control," he decided. "I need to be quick on my feet and effective in using my powers."
"Allocating points… Are you sure?" the System asked, its voice echoing with a hint of caution.
Kiran nodded firmly. "Yes. Allocate 3 points to Agility and 2 points to Qi Control."
"Points allocated. Agility increased to Level 4. Qi Control increased to Level 3."
As the interface updated, Kiran felt a surge of energy coursing through him. His senses heightened, and he could feel the world around him in vivid detail. The rustling leaves, the distant howls of beasts, and even the pulse of the earth beneath his feet were all amplified.

Excitement surged through Kiran. He found a clearing devoid of obstacles and began to experiment with his newfound agility. He sprinted forward, feeling lighter on his feet than before, his movements fluid and swift. He leaped and dodged, weaving through imaginary foes as he practiced his strikes, feeling the shadows dance around him.
"Shadow Step," he whispered, channeling the ability as he executed a sudden, graceful movement. In an instant, he vanished from one spot and reappeared a few feet away, a dark blur in the moonlight. The exhilaration of that moment sent shivers down his spine.
"Impressive," the System commended. "Shadow Step allows for instant repositioning, enhancing your tactical advantage in battle. However, be cautious; it consumes Qi."
Kiran nodded, mentally noting the drain on his energy. "I'll need to manage that carefully."
As he continued to practice, the interface flickered in his mind, offering additional insights.
"You have received a new Quest: 'Master Your Skills.' Completing this quest will grant you additional experience points and further enhance your abilities. Would you like to accept?"
Kiran felt a thrill of anticipation. "What's the quest about?"
"You are to defeat three spirit beasts using your Shadow Manipulation and new agility skills. Success will demonstrate your mastery of these abilities."
"That sounds perfect!" Kiran said, excitement bubbling in his chest. "Accept the quest."
"Quest accepted. Begin at your own pace."
With a new purpose driving him, Kiran set out to find the spirit beasts. He felt invigorated by the thought of leveling up and improving his skills even further. The thrill of the hunt was upon him, and he was eager to test his abilities against the creatures of the forest.
Hours passed as he navigated through the trees, using his enhanced agility to move silently, blending into the shadows. Kiran was no longer just a passive observer; he was the predator now.
Suddenly, he spotted a group of spirit beasts—a trio of wolf-like creatures with glowing blue eyes and fur that shimmered like the night sky. They prowled in a clearing, their eyes scanning for any signs of danger. Kiran crouched low, heart racing as he formulated his plan.
"System, how should I approach them?" he whispered.
"Utilize Shadow Bind to immobilize one of the beasts first. Then, you can take out the others with your agility," the System suggested.
Kiran nodded, steeling himself. He focused on the shadows around him, gathering the energy needed for his attack. "Shadow Bind!" he commanded, and tendrils of darkness shot out, wrapping around the nearest beast.
The creature howled in surprise, struggling against the binding shadows. Kiran seized the opportunity, launching himself forward with a burst of speed.
"Now, Shadow Step!" he shouted, disappearing from sight. He reappeared behind another beast, striking swiftly with a dark blade formed from the shadows.
The second beast crumpled under the force of his attack, its body collapsing lifelessly to the ground. Kiran felt exhilaration flooding through him as he turned his attention back to the last remaining spirit beast.
It snarled and lunged at him, but Kiran was ready. He dodged to the side, feeling his agility come into play. The beast overshot its attack, and in that split second, Kiran countered.
"Shadow Bind!" he shouted again, and the shadows ensnared the last beast, immobilizing it as he moved in for the final strike.
With a quick flick of his wrist, he unleashed a powerful shadow blade, and the creature fell, defeated.
Breathing heavily, Kiran surveyed the scene, adrenaline coursing through him. "I did it!" he exclaimed, pride swelling in his chest. The interface flickered to life again in his mind.

Kiran thought about his options, the thrill of adventure sparking in his heart. "Let's find more spirit beasts. I want to push my limits."
