Sophia, in her entire life, never imagined her world would crash down like this. She had spent her whole life believing that someone would always clean up her messes. That someone used to be Camilla, sometimes and she felt like since she was getting married to Ethan, that would also continue, and now? There was no one.
She turned to look at Camilla, her eyes flashed with something sharp and determination. "Please" she saie, her voice shook with desperation. "I need to speak with Jaxton. I'm sure he can fix this. He's powerful, he knows people, he-he can do something. I can't lose Ethan. If I lose Ethan, I have nothing… nothing left for me!"
She was sobbing uncontrollably now, her words trembling off her tongue in broken pieces. Camilla's face barely shifted. She glanced around, obviously aware of the eyes watching, but made no attempt to hide her disdain. Sophia grabbed her wrist tightly.
