"Open the gate."

The whispers continued. The parasite inside stirred wanting to get out and touch the gate. Riane stopped on time, before he could touch the gate. He stood there motionless.
"Let me out. LET ME OUT! LET ME OUT! ..."
The whispers turned into loud roars, Riane screamed in pain as he felt his head being split open. His surrounding vibrated as if some strong energy gushed out.
He then woke up in a warm and cozy bed. As he sat up, whe saw that he is in his childhood bedroom. A knock came, it was his mother bringing a glass of milk.
"Hey honey, I brought you some milk." She warmly said as she set down the cup of milk and hugged him. Then as he snuggled to his mother's hug, his father came running, then he happily carried Riane and twirled him around before raining him with kisses. He felt warm all over.
He had dreamt of this scene countless times, the warmth of his parents, the peace, and his childhood.
"This is what you wanted, I can give it to you. This is will be yours, just let me out. I can destroy those who wronged you. I can destroy those who made this calamity."
It continued to whisper. Riane woke up to the illusion. "I will not let you out. You're locked up here for a reason."
"Nonsense. I am locked up because those people feared me. They locked me up just so they can harness my power, to understand it, to wreak havoc in their wake."
"Just let me out and I can help you eradicate them."
"No! No matter how much you try to convince me. I won't." Riane answered shaking the urge to open the gate.
"You're a stubborn one, just like someone 35 years ago. He is as stubborn and righteous as you. I couldn't even shake him. It's a pity they destroyes his body."
The voice chattered.
"Anyways, I like you, so take this as a gift."
The voice said. Then a black orb appeared in front of the gate. It was the size of a basketball.
"Absorb this, you can have a portion of my power. Don't worry, I can't control or possess you with this thing but I can guide you. Also that parasite inside is something I've never felt."
The voice continued.
Riane wary did not immediately touch the orb. But to his surprise the parasite inside him, appeared, it was a black goo like substance, then it crawled towards the orb and ate it. In a few minutes it burped and returned inside Riane's body.
"What a fascinating creature."
The voice said intrigued by the actions of the parasite.
Riane was surprised again as he sensed that his surroundings became cleared, his senses became sharper than before. He felt immense strength and power inside him.
"You don't have to come back here. I will stay inside the orb, since it also seals me inside, but I can see and here everything you do. Maybe guide and talk to you once in a while. I can also study that thing inside you."
The voice said, then Riane felt a massive force enter inside him. The parasite vibrated as if it is excited. "Who are you?"
"I am Greihem. A forgotten god of the ancient past."
"How old?"
"Old enough to see your planet face three major mass extinctions."
It answered.
Riane then went back up. Upon returning it was already noon the next day. He sensed that more infected had been roaming in the city. As if they're being drawn by something.
Meanwhile in Germany, a silver haired man stood up abruptly. His old handsome face was etched with shock and amazement. His shock turned into happiness. His medals on his uniform jingled as he ran towards the operations room. He burst in excited as many officers chattered, making commands, watching the map in the big screen.
"I feel him. I can sense thay he is free. But his energy seems to be weakened a lot. Start searching the epicenter of the energy fluctuations. That is him. Rejoice, our god has been revived. LONG LIVE GREIHEM!"
He shouted. The others also cheered on and enthusiastically began their work in searching their manmade god.
Meanwhile, in Switzerland, Riane's mother and brothers, including Alex was detained in an opulent mansion. It was his father's command.
"Dad. What's going on?" The Eldest asked.
"I can't allow you to destroy our plan." The fsther answered.
"What about Riane? Why are you doing this? I... I... Let us out. I want to see my son. Let me out..." The mother cried.
"I can't do that. I am doing this for our salvation. Humans are already weak and fragile. I'm doing this for the future of humanity. And Riane is the only success in our asset." He said before leaving. The mansion was locked out. No one can enter and exit. The soldiers were tight. Alex tried calling his contacts but later found out that their signals were all cut off. They don't know what they will do.
In China, an online meeting occured. They were discussing on how to contain that dangerous asset.
"I already contacted someone. They are already making some containment chambers for him. It will take half a year." Gregory said.
"HALF A YEAR?! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?! TIME IS OF THE ESSENC3 HERE, MR. AVEN!" An old woman shrieked.
"We can't eush things we have to prepare. Although those who are infected are getting stronger we can still contain them. As for the other survivors we can just dispose of them. Even if they have their abilities, we also have ours." Gregory answered.
"Mr. Aven is right. We can't rush things, we need to plan ahead or else mistakes will happen again." The Chinese President said.
"Although it will take eix months, we have plenty of time to take more samples. I am already at 90 percent progress for the vaccine." An old man in a lab coat said.
"Good. Just make some contingencies for some unknown variables. The infection is mutating again. Be careful, lest the rot will spread among us. Again, be careful doctor or else I will have to deal with you myself." Gregory threatened, his voice and tone cold, his eyes sharp and turned black for a few seconds before turning back into its orginal color. The researcher nodded in fear. Gregory nodded before ending the meeting.
"Soon, just wait a little bit more. Play a bit in that hell I made just for you."
