"It seems they've arrived," Lucas remarked, his voice low and excited as he peered from above at the distant fleet of Marine ships swarming Enies Lobby. Though his current form prevented any outward display of emotion, a huge grin played on his lips. Below, chaos reigned: Luffy's battle was reaching its fevered peak, while the rest of the Straw Hats hurriedly wrapped up their scraps of combat and raced toward the waiting sea train, desperate to escape.
"Nami's gonna chew me out this time," Lucas sighed to himself, shaking his head with a wry smirk. "But whatever…" With that, he surged forward, darting through the smoky battlefield. As he closed in on his crewmates, his keen eyes caught sight of something unexpected. Amid the frenzied retreat, he noticed that fate—and perhaps a bit of misfortune—had teamed the giants with the Straw Hats.
"Look there, he is!" Usopp cried, pointing excitedly. Almost immediately, Nami's familiar head popped out from the crowded sea train.
"There you are! Are you happy now? Is this what you wanted? We're surrounded by Marine ships with nowhere to run!" Nami shrieked, frustration and worry mingling in her tone.
Lucas's confident smirk never wavered as he replied, "It's fine— I can open a portal for you guys to head back." With a few precise gestures, he summoned a shimmering portal right outside the sea train, its brilliant light large enough for even the giant allies to pass through.
Before Lucas could finish, the distant roar of cannon fire broke through the tension. Marine ships began firing relentlessly, their explosives pummeling Enies Lobby like devouring flames. The sacred hall became nothing more than a burning target as the bombardment intensified.
"I'll cover you—go!" Lucas roared, his voice cutting through the din of explosions. In a heartbeat, he activated his Way Big form, his body surging to an enormous scale that dominated the turbulent sky. Landing with a heavy thud into the churning sea, he bellowed, "It won't take long for Luffy to join you guys, so hurry!" His massive form, bristling with raw power, drew the terrified attention of the Marines.
Below, panicked voices erupted from the decks of the warships. "What in the world—!" one Marine shouted, his voice thick with fear as he beheld a giant towering from the sea. A vice admiral barked orders over the commotion: "All ships, attack that monstrosity! Do not fear—we bring the wrath of the fleet!" Yet, the sight of Lucas's imposing, otherworldly figure only seemed to magnify their terror.
"Luffy! Go!" Lucas commanded over the roar, his mighty hand sweeping through the air and sending several ships reeling from the force of his blow. The scene then shifted sharply: Luffy, battered and tattered from his grueling duel with Lucci, limped toward the portal. His ragged breaths and determined eyes testified to the severity of his recent struggle. Just as he leaped into the portal with an almost triumphant shout, the swirling gateway snapped shut behind him.
Seizing the moment, Lucas's eyes flashed with a fierce intensity. He gathered the ambient energy around him, channeling it into his ultimate move. "Time to finish this," he muttered under his breath. With a deliberate, measured motion, he unleashed his ultimate beam—a concentrated column of radiant, destructive light. Though he deliberately held back full power to retain control, the beam was enough to incinerate Marine ships that dared approach. One by one, the once-proud vessels disintegrated into plumes of dust and flame. Marine sailors, witnessing the cataclysm, scrambled in terror—many leaping overboard as they watched their flagship shudder under the force of Lucas's attack.
When the brilliant light at last faded, the horizon revealed a desolate sea; a vast graveyard of shattered Marine ships lay scattered amid the wreckage of Enies Lobby. Satisfied with his handiwork, Lucas allowed himself a moment of silent triumph before he vanished in a blinding flash. In an instant, he teleported back to Water Seven, reuniting with the rest of the Straw Hats.
Back on familiar ground, the cool night air of Water Seven enveloped the weary crew. Nami, arms crossed and face set in a scowl of equal parts relief and exasperation, marched up to Lucas. "Are you happy now?" she demanded. "You've caused a ruckus that'll surely draw even more unwanted attention!"
Lucas simply grinned, wiping soot from his face. "Hey, if it gets the show started, then maybe it was worth it," he replied casually, his tone as irreverent as ever.
As their group gathered amidst the quiet bustle of Water Seven, the Straw Hats took a moment to reconcile. Luffy's indefatigable optimism shone through as he clapped his hands together, exclaiming, "We're the Straw Hat Pirates! No matter how many odds are stacked against us, we never give up!" His words, echoing from battles past, served as a rallying cry that bolstered their battered but unyielding resolve.
Robin, who had borne the weight of painful secrets and misunderstood sacrifice, stepped forward slowly. "I didn't betray you," she murmured softly, her eyes heavy with regret yet alight with determination. "I only did what I thought was necessary." Her admission resonated deeply with the crew, healing old wounds as the bonds of trust were reforged in that bittersweet moment.
Franky, awed by the spectacle and the untamed spirit of his friends, wiped away a stray tear and grinned widely. "You all are somethin' else!" he declared, his voice rough with emotion. "Maybe I oughta stick with you lot—maybe even join you for real!" His words, sincere and humorous, drew laughter from the assembled crew, providing a brief respite from the memories of battle.
In low, amused voices, Zoro, Sanji, and Usopp exchanged knowing glances. They ribbed Lucas good-naturedly for his penchant for triggering chaos that forced Luffy to charge into battles for no other reason than to satisfy Lucas's desire for a good fight. In their teasing, there was affection—a reminder of the countless adventures and misadventures they had weathered together.
Standing under the soft glow of Water Seven's lamplight, the Straw Hats gathered close. Lucas, though still adrenaline-charged from the night's events, softened as he looked each friend in the eye. "We'll keep fighting—no matter what the world throws at us," he said quietly. "Tonight, we've sent a message not just to the Marines or CP9, but to anyone who dares to stand against us."
Nami sighed, half-smiling despite herself. "Just promise me you'll try not to break anything unnecessarily next time," she chided gently.
Luffy's boisterous laugh filled the night as he declared, "Yeah! Let's keep on fighting—together as a crew!" His optimism was as infectious as ever, inspiring hope in even the darkest of moments.
And so, as the distant hum of the sea mingled with the gentle murmur of Water Seven at night, the Straw Hats—scarred but unbroken—stepped forward into the uncertain future. Their bonds had been forged anew in the crucible of conflict, and with hearts united and spirits unyielding, they vowed that no matter what trials lay ahead, they would face them as one.
In that peaceful, fleeting moment, as memories of Enies Lobby's ruins faded into the night and promises of new adventures beckoned, the crew understood the truth that had carried them this far: that together, there was nothing they could not overcome.
