"I have been waiting for this moment," Stephen murmured, a smile ghosting his lips, the kind of smile that made Aurora's cheeks warm.
Even though they had already left the chapel, the hall still buzzed with life, guests eating, dancing, laughing, their joy spilling into the night. Stephen had invited Lisa to their wedding, but as expected, she had not come.
Aurora tilted her head, her eyes curious. "So what are you doing just standing there?"
She was still in her wedding dress, the veil now gone, her hair tumbling freely down her back.
"Because you look so beautiful," he said, leaning lazily against the wall, arms folded, his gaze drinking her in. "And I didn't have nearly enough time to appreciate how breathtaking my bride looked."
Aurora chuckled and walked over to him, her lips twitching. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Like what?"
"Like you love me so much, and can't live without me."
