Chapter 277 - Marvel 277

"Peter gets his. Hu Liena gets this. Lumia is covered... and Bibi Dong? Well, she's mine now too," Max muttered with quiet satisfaction, tucking the remaining bones away as he rose into the sky, leaving Spirit City behind.

As he flew through the clouds, a wicked grin curled at the corner of his lips.

"Hmph, should I start collecting the other beauties too?" he mused lazily, his mind wandering.

" Sea God Island's chief priestess… Tang Yuehua… and of course, Liu Erlong."

A low chuckle rumbled from his throat.

"Hehehe… I should take them all."

Max's figure descended steadily from the clouds, the towering gates of Ghidorah Academy coming into view beneath him. The academy stood like a fortress—ancient black stone walls reinforced with enchanted metals, sharp spires stabbing the sky, and vast training grounds buzzing with students.

But even with its size, power, and reputation, the entire academy was ruled by one simple law: Strength decides everything.

Max landed at the edge of the courtyard, ignoring the startled gasps from a few students who spotted him. His name was legendary within the academy, but his face was rarely seen.

"Time to vanish for a while," he thought with a smirk.

With a flick of his wrist, a black token engraved with dragon heads appeared in his hand. Dark mist curled around it, and moments later, a figure materialized in front of him—tall, cloaked in shadow, and radiating authority.

Raiders.

A special summon from his Ultimate Academy System, Raiders wasn't human—he was a construct of will, combat ability, and cold logic, designed to act as the academy's active dean whenever Max decided to disappear.

Raiders knelt respectfully, his eyes glowing faintly beneath the hood. "Master. Orders?"

Max stretched, rolling his shoulders. "I'm taking some time to roam the continent. Handle academy matters, maintain discipline, and…" his lips curled faintly, "if any idiot thinks they can challenge Ghidorah Academy in my absence, crush them."

"Understood."

Raiders rose and melted back into the shadows, his presence already spreading across the academy like a creeping storm.

Satisfied, Max took off into the sky once more, heading east.

Though Max soared east through the clouds, there was no fixed destination in his mind.

"I can get those beauties anytime I want… should I go for Liu Erlong now?" He thought for a moment, then shook his head with a faint chuckle. "Too boring. She's fiery, sure, but still trapped by clan rules and helplessness. No fun yet."

Suddenly, his sharp eyes caught movement below—a trail of destruction in the forest clearing.

"Hmph… what's that?"

Swooping lower, Max quickly saw the scene unfold. Dozens of corpses littered the ground—wolf-like humanoids, their bodies twisted with fur, claws, and fangs. These weren't simple bandits; they were Wolf Bandits, a notorious hybrid breed of Spirit Masters and Spirit Beasts—half-monster, half-human scum.

Or at least, they were, Max waved his hand and all the bandits were killed.

They now lay dead, their bodies torn apart with terrifying precision. Standing nearby was a small merchant caravan, faces pale, staring at their unexpected savior—Max.

The surviving merchants, realizing who he might be—a powerful Spirit Master at the very least—bowed gratefully toward him.

Max casually waved his hand.

With that, he turned mid-air, his long coat fluttering behind him as he shot back toward the skies.

"Now… where was I?"

His eyes narrowed, his lips curling into a smirk as a new plan came to mind.

"Tian Dou City… home to many things, but what I want is hidden beneath all their politics and pride—the Sea God Heart."

A legendary relic, capable of granting one the qualification to inherit the mantle of Sea God—or even defy the heavens altogether.

"Time to add a treasure to my collection."

The skies above Tian Dou City shimmered under the late afternoon sun as Max descended, his figure cloaked in an unassuming dark coat, hood drawn low to conceal his identity.

Tian Dou City, capital of the Tian Dou Empire, was grand as ever. Majestic spires touched the clouds, bustling markets filled the streets, and Spirit Masters from all walks of life roamed freely. But beneath the surface, Max could feel it—the undercurrents of ambition, scheming nobles, and hidden powers colliding in the shadows.

'Sea God Heart… according to the System, it's hidden beneath this city, sealed within the depths of the Imperial Family's ancestral vault,' Max thought, his eyes narrowing as he walked through the crowded streets.

But he was in no rush.

For now, he explored—blending into the city like any other traveler. He visited taverns, sampled street food, watched Spirit Master duels in the arena—simply enjoying himself.

Later, he booked an inn and rested there for a while. As he sat by the window, his gaze naturally drifted toward the towering Royal Palace in the distance.

"Now that I think of it… isn't Qian Renxue supposed to be here?" Max mused to himself. She was one of the two legendary beauties of Douluo Dalu—the future God of Angels, with the other being Gu Yuena, the Silver Dragon King.

"Pity both of them ended up used and manipulated by Tang San and his family," Max mumbled with a faint scoff as he finished his drink.

Afterward, he casually stepped out of the inn. There was no need for caution—an invisibility spell already cloaked him completely. And with his power, not even the so-called gods of this world could detect him, let alone these weak Spirit Masters.

Slipping through the shadows, he followed the mental map provided by his System, descending deeper into the palace's hidden chambers.

Eventually, he reached the Ancestral Vault—a vast underground treasury sealed by powerful spirit formations. To anyone else, it would be impossible to bypass.

To Max? Child's play.

With a casual wave of his hand, the seals cracked apart like fragile glass under his Crown of Space's distortion.

The vault opened, revealing piles of gold, ancient scrolls, weapons, and spirit bones displayed on pedestals. But Max's attention locked onto the center of the chamber—a crystalline orb glowing with blue-gold light, radiating divine pressure.

The Sea God Heart.

"There you are." Max approached, plucking the orb from its pedestal like it was nothing more than an apple from a tree. The vast energy within it pulsed, but it obediently settled in his palm, recognizing his superior presence.
