Yes! Princess Jewel is so happy! She gets to make a wish.
I'm fucking scared as shit, to be honest... anyway, let's listen first. I'm fairly certain I can curbstomp early enemies like Pilaf, Yamcha, or even Goku if I have to... it will all be fine. They aren't that tough.
Maybe we can also avoid problems altogether.
We'll simply grab the radar... somehow... collect the balls... somehow... make the wish, and then get the fuck out of there.
Soulmate shouldn't be scared... Princess Jewel will take care of all problems. Pigs, cats, turtles, rabbits, she'll eat them all up. Of course, chicken as well, should Princess Jewel encounter any.

[System halting world travel]
[This system is weakened... used up too much energy the last time... anomaly detected... by administrators... fewer tasks assigned... less power directed to this system...]
"I see..." Alex mutters, his face downcast.
Man... looks like her little help from last time... took a lot more effort... and I was intending to ask for more help... I'm such a bastard. I've really screwed her over.
"I am sorry... also please... you can address yourself by your name, you are more than just a random system," Alex says.
Princess Jewel is thankful to Via for helping out Soulmate the last time!
[Via... would like to help again, but she's weakened. She will require a few years to gather energy through the small excess she can collect after each player's world travel. Though highly accurate, a small amount of excess energy is always used, so as not to endanger the players.]
"Can't I help?! A few years... that's way too long, and you appear to be quite drained; that probably feels like shit," Alex asks. "You just need energy? Can't I give you something?!"
[Via has not considered such a possibility. Highly unlikely. She would also not want to hurt the player by using up valuable resources, especially since he has been kind enough to talk to her and even give her a name.]
[Available time is ending... Via is sorry.]
"No! Let me just throw you something. Can you open a portal or something? I'll feed you as much as I have with me!"
[Almost... impossible...trying... opening a small spatial tunnel.]
In front of the darkness, Alex sees a small hole glowing purple, just large enough for a hand to fit through. Though it's flickering and looks like it's about to collapse.
Fast!
What can I give?! Wait... that color... purple...!
Immediately, Alex grabs a [Soul Crystal (Large)] from his inventory, the most powerful source of energy he can come up with, and throws it into the spatial opening before it closes just a second later, not at all considering the huge cost of his rash decision.
"Did that help?!" Alex yells, still worried.
[Via is sensing a noticeable amount of energy... but she'll need time to absorb and integrate it. She is afraid she still can't provide help immediately.]
"It's fine... just recover... we'll do it without that," Alex says, relief on his face.
[Via advises care... due to... high... rarity and power... of pet... difficulty increased to unreasonable levels...]

Suddenly, still overwhelmed by the flood of information, the black void vanishes, and Alex finds himself in an empty, barren land. Immediately, he hears something akin to a piece of glass shattering, which instantly worries him.
Surrounded by small mountains and hills, with almost no trees visible, he looks around, noticing that he's in the middle of nowhere. Making sure that no one is nearby and that he's safe, he breathes a sigh of relief.

"What the fuck just happened?!" Alex says, gesturing wildly. "I'm so confused... like always. So much information to take in."
Princess Jewel's... Princess Jewel's crown just shattered!
Alex stares at the ground and sees the remains of Jewel's silvery crown lying there.
"Guess you'll be getting chunkier by the day, huh?" Alex jokes, rubbing Jewel, who immediately jumps onto his head, clearly agitated.
This is no laughing matter! Princess Jewel will turn into a huge Thornback Matriarch at this rate.
"I don't believe so," Alex says. "Look, I believe level 10 is kinda special. The crown would have naturally decayed when we reached that level... and even then, Evolution through different means is still possible. It's just... your mother wanted you to evolve while still maintaining your current form. It will probably affect the success and the final result of your Evolution."
"Also, even if you may grow while we're inside this mission... remember how large your mother was. It will take a long time until you get there. I believe that if we can clear the main mission, your Evolution won't be affected, and you can still reach the perfect result," Alex reasons.
Really?
"Remember the conditions of the [True Dream Ticket]. It demanded level 9. We had to wait until we could use it. This is all just fine... I am serious, Jewel. Don't worry about growing... in fact, it might even turn out to be useful. Let's just finish this mission, okay? Seriously, Shenron can probably grant any wish... whether you're the size of a chicken or the size of a cow, it doesn't matter."

"Any... comments... and help?" Alex wonders. "I know quite a bit about Dragon Ball, but I... I am not quite sure now that I'm here. I thought I knew more. You were a little worried when you heard the date? Don't tell me... Goku is an adult?! We're fucking screwed if that's the case...."
No, Soulmate. Thankfully, that isn't the case. Dragon Ball has three distinct periods. Princess Jewel is worried because she expected that the system would only offer us a mission during the early timeline, when the story started. However, the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament is during the King Piccolo Saga. More than three years have passed since the start of the original series, meaning the characters are quite a bit stronger compared to the start of the series.
"I see... damn, that's bad... I thought we'd be just fine with early Dragon Ball... but the more time passes, the crazier it gets," Alex complains. "I'm afraid things will be fucking difficult. If I could just use my Mass Effect gear... man, this makes no sense; why is it still restricted in this world?! But the system was a little vague, perhaps... I may have an idea... but that doesn't matter for now."
"Let's make the best of it!" Alex declares, full of motivation.
