Chapter 423 - Consult

"Alright, I'm going to head out. Feel free to treat this room as your own while I'm away," expressed Vahn, shrinking from his nearly three-meter-tall, ivory-and-gold-furred half-zoan form and equipping his Adventurer attire.

"Mmmmngh...good luck with your mission..." responded Lupusregina, her golden eyes slightly glazed and her naked body glistening with sweat as she observed him preparing to leave with tremendous desire contained in her gaze. She had made the mistake of playfully propositioning him seven days prior. Since then, Vahn had made love to her every night, throughout the night, and into the morning.

"Coincidentally, I've been feeling lucky ever since I arrived here..." Vahn quipped, punctuating his words with a wink, causing Lupusregina's eyes to narrow desirously as her thick, fluffy, red-furred wolf tail thumped the torn and tattered mattress behind her.

"It was my pleasure to be of service~" hummed Lupusregina, tracing her right middle finger down the center of her belly while tracing her tongue along her lips. Vahn was tempted to return to her, but since he had a prior commitment, he held her gaze for a few seconds longer before turning to depart his stately, completely wrecked bedchambers.

"Lord Vahn—good morning. Allow me to wish you well in your coming travels..." expressed Yuri, bowing her head the moment Vahn emerged from his room. Behind her were six other, predominantly blonde-haired Maids, each bowing in concert.

"I'm certain things will go well," responded Vahn, his smile gaining a hint of wryness as he added, "And sorry, once again, for the mess..."

"It's not a problem whatsoever..." refuted Yuri, shaking her head before rising to her full height and cracking a rare smile as she expressed, "It is our honor—our very purpose to be of service."

"And you do an exceptional job," Vahn acknowledged, inclining his head ever so slightly before stepping around the group to continue his journey through the Ninth Floor's spacious, white-marbled, red-carpeted halls to the private dining hall where he and Ainz generally convened. He lived in Nazarick's Inner Sanctum, the former residence of the other members of Ainz Ooal Gown, so it was a short trip.

"Ah...Lord Vahn. Are you on your way to meet with Lord Ainz? Shall we go together...?"

As Vahn neared the four-way intersection that led to the dining hall, his path unexpectedly crossed with Albedo, who greeted him with a sincere, appreciative smile. His conversation with Ainz had led to the skeletal man accepting responsibility for her reprogramming. And when she learned he was the reason for her beloved Lord's change, her hostility toward him all but vanished overnight.

"It would be my honor to escort Nazarick's First Lady," responded Vahn, offering a slight nod and a smile before he and Albedo continued on their way with her trailing a short distance behind him. It didn't take them long to reach a pair of ornate, ivory-white doors with gold trim. There, a pair of Maids opened them in unison, allowing Vahn and Albedo to enter a crimson-carpeted chamber with soft yellow lighting, white marble pillars, and a three-by-seven-meter dining table.

"Ah, Vahn, good—" started Ainz, seated at the head of the table in white and gold robes that were significantly less imposing than his usual battle wear.

Noticing Albedo enter the room behind Vahn, Ainz promptly segued, his slightly jovial tone turning serious as he stated, "Albedo...while it pleases me greatly to see you, I can't help but ask—why are you here? You know these meals are intended to be a private exchange between Vahn and me alone."

"It is as you say, my love," affirmed Albedo, adopting an elegant, poised smile as she stated, "But I couldn't suppress my desire to see you at least once more before your and Lord Vahn's departure. Please permit me but a moment to bask in your unholy countenance..."

"Mmn...very well. You have my permission..." responded Ainz, rising to his feet and raising his chin. As he did, the raven-black wings protruding from Albedo's lower back began to twitch and beat faintly, causing her flowery, arousal-inducing Succubus pheromones to fill the room. Fortunately, Vahn and Ainz alike were completely unaffected.

"Ah, my Lord! My love! Your magnanimity knows no bounds~!" groaned Albedo, clutching her body and writhing in place for a moment, prompting Vahn to take two steps away and stare.

'This is so embarrassing...' thought Ainz, his inner self sweating while his outward appearance exuded majesty and composure. Fortunately, Albedo didn't squirm for too long before composing herself, smoothing her dress, and poisedly expressing, "Thank you, my Lord. That should tide me over—at least until this evening."

"Yes. I look forward to seeing you then..." responded Ainz, punctuating his words with a nod.

"My Lord..." sighed Albedo, her voice tinged with a pained groan as her wings contracted, squeezing her hips. She looked as though she wanted to leap across the room, but after glancing at Vahn, observing her with a curiously raised brow, she offered Ainz a bow and muttered, "Until then..." before turning to depart.

"Haaaaa..."

Waiting until Albedo had left the room, Ainz collapsed into his seat and began massaging his forehead with his right hand.

"There are worse fates than to be loved zealously," hummed Vahn, taking his seat across from Ainz and grinning cheekily.

"Of that, I'm certain..." confirmed Ainz, lowering his hand and meeting Vahn's gaze as he confessed, "But, at the same time, I can't help feeling as though she will grow weary and disappointed with my inability to meet her expectations. After all, there are some...fundamental incongruencies in our physiologies..."

"This might sound crass, but are you able to experience pleasure in your current form...?" questioned Vahn, genuinely curious as he had never been undead before.

"To an extent," responded Ainz, his tone calm as he explained, "What I experience is more psychological than physical. My bones can feel heat, cold, and texture. And, even though I do not possess a nose, it does not inhibit my ability to detect fragrances. But, as a skeletal being, bereft of flesh, blood, and a central nervous system...I believe you can grasp my plight without my needing to go into detail..."

"If it becomes a serious point of contention, it shouldn't be too difficult to have you become human or another living race," Vahn contended. "In the meantime, this should suffice as a short-term solution."

Extending his right hand, Vahn produced a rainbow-hued sphere with a hazy interior and sent it traveling over the table toward Ainz, explaining, "It's a magical item concocted by Succubi from another world. It allows them to pull people into a dreamscape that amplifies positive or negative feelings, depending on intent."

Grabbing the sphere with his right hand, Ainz promptly chanted, "All Appraisal Magic Item..." in his characteristically deep, curiosity-tinged voice. Fortunately for him, Vahn's act of gifting him the sphere made it susceptible to his magical abilities. Had he stumbled across and tried to analyze it, it wouldn't have worked.

"I see...this will no doubt prove incredibly useful..." muttered Ainz, his fiery eyes blazing like malevolent stars as he read the item's description and discovered it was on par with some World Items. Vahn had failed to mention that it could accommodate up to a thousand people and had an effective radius of ten kilometers. The fact that he could pass off such a powerful artifact as if it were an inconsequential trinket spoke volumes about Vahn's capabilities as a God, even in his presently restricted state.

"Happy to hear it," responded Vahn, supplying a curt nod before seguing the conversation to the topic he was originally there to discuss—him and Ainz forming a Party to infiltrate the Re-Estize Kingdom and obtain info on the world as a whole. Vahn wasn't opposed to the idea of them working together to gather information—as he hadn't come to OL-2138 to lounge about in the depths of a tomb—but as an outsider, he argued that it would be best for Ainz to move and make decisions himself. They could become publicly acquainted and ally to take on difficult requests, but he preferred being able to act independently and believed that Ainz would benefit from the same freedom...

After emerging from a nebulous black and purple portal in the middle of a forest, Vahn looked behind him as the companion who had been assigned to accompany him emerged.

"Mmmngh! It feels great to be outdoors~!" chimed Lupusregina, emerging from the nebulous portal, called a Gate, and posing with her hands on her hips. Notably, in place of her usual Pleiades Maid outfit, she was modeling an off-white, halter-style chest wrap that left little to the imagination, and a similarly colored sash with red trim, hugging her waist like a loose-fitting belt. Beneath that was a grey loincloth trimmed in red and gold, matching her dancer-esque arm coverings and the color palette of her animal-eared habit. Her usually braided hair was unbound, allowing it to flow freely past her waist. And alongside numerous golden accessories, she wore a pair of white, red-trimmed, open-toed sandals and a matching mantle to conceal her otherwise exposed figure from wandering eyes.

"So, where to first? Should we depart for the nearest city, or would you rather christen the beginning of our journey with some feral forest sex~?" questioned Lupusregina, meeting Vahn's gaze with a naturally seductive grin while shouldering a massive, ornately-headed scepter that vaguely resembled a crucifix with five spear-like points forming a shape similar to a star—set with a colossal axe blade that was nearly a full meter in length from tapered tip to tip.

"I would be lying if I said I wasn't tempted. But the sooner we're able to reach E-Rantel, the sooner we can get you registered with the Guild and begin increasing our ranks..." responded Vahn, contradicting his words by approaching and slipping his hands into the fabric hugging Lupusregina's waist and remarkably toned bottom. In response, she released her grip on her axe's handle, allowing it to plummet to the forest floor as she hooked her arms around his neck and shoulders and jumped up to snare his waist with her calves and muscular thighs.

Understanding from past experiences that Lupusregina wouldn't be able to calm down until he gave her what her body hungered for, Vahn pinned her back against a tree with enough force to shed hundreds of its leaves as her elongated claws tore into his back. At the same time, thick red fur extruded from the backs of her hands, forearms, and calves, followed by a bushy tail unfurling from her lower back.

"I will never be able to thank Lord Ainz enough for appointing me to serve as your escort..." sighed Lupusregina, her previously normal teeth turning to fangs as her forehead and the line of her cheekbone became coated in strips of red fur that matched her hair. As a Werewolf, she was capable of transforming into a nearly two-and-a-half-meter-tall wolf woman, but only under the light of the full moon. As it was currently mid-morning, she only partially transformed, her muscles becoming more defined, and bushy red fur coating her appendages and much of her back.

"Then let's work hard to acquire information and increase our Adventurer rank. That way, we'll have ample justification for teaming up with him and Narberal in the future..." hummed Vahn, sporting a smoldering grin despite his back being streaked with crimson. Fortunately, his wounds healed just as quickly as they formed. And when he matched her transformation with his own, Lupusregina's body noticeably warmed, her breathing becoming labored as she sighed, "For the glory of Nazarick..." in a spine-chillingly husky tone.

"For the glory of Nazarick..." Vahn repeated, sliding aside Lupusregina's red wrap panties, freeing a veritable torrent of viscous, pheromone-rich fluids to trickle to the forest floor. Then, as she had proposed, they spent the ensuing hour making love like wild animals. The sounds of their union caught the attention of a large bear with flames rising from the back of its head, neck, and shoulders, but when it felt the fury Lupusregina directed at it, it immediately turned tail and ran for its life...
