The grand parlor of Baringer Castle still seemed to hum with the tension left by Ghost, even minutes after his disappearance. The flames of the floating crystals cast a warm glow on the golden stone walls, but the air remained heavy, as if Ghost's shadow lingered. Kaiser, Areyos, Diana, Eli, Jenny, and Seyca had just returned, their laughter fading as they noticed the strained faces of the adults.
"You guys look weird. What's going on?" Kaiser asked, frowning.
"Did you see a ghost or something?" Seyca said with a small laugh, though her tone carried a hint of unease.
Zendal ran a hand over his face, forcing a tight smile. "You're not far off, Seyca…" He gestured toward the low table. "Come on, sit down. Uncle Barrios has some big news for you."
