A month later, Ross and his group were traveling toward a particular castle.
The journey was not especially long, requiring only a little more than a day's travel. Because of that, Ross chose to use ordinary carriages instead of his flying boat.
The slower method of transportation was intentional. It gave his children a chance to experience some of the minor hardships and inconveniences of life in the cultivation world.
After all, they were starting from the very bottom of the ladder.
Although the majority of his children were already grown, with the eldest having reached twenty-five years of age, Ross still had several younger sons and daughters born from the women he had acquired during the zombie apocalypse.
Unlike him, they possessed no memories of Earth. They had never seen modern cities, automobiles, electricity, or the countless conveniences of his former world.
To them, this cultivation world was the only reality they had ever known.
