Chapter 0: Future Tempest

Prologue

Ost BEAST 2 -TIAMAT BATTLE- (youtube.com)

Unknown location.

—Ul goa!

A large number of fireballs were fired at point-blank range.

BOOM!

SMMMHH

The fiery reddish flames were burning a building-like structure with their powerful force.

The flames, fueled by the oxygen in the wind and powered by dark magic, had completely destroyed and incinerated everything in their path, including scorched wood, burnt grass, and some sculptures, among other steel and metal structures melted by the fury of the powerful embers.

Their danger was palpably high. If a human or demihuman body even slightly touches the fire, their skin will sustain second- and third-degree burns, and they might even die from the intensity of the fire.

This is the power of void magic.

Dark magic—Ying magic

—AHHHHHRG Shit!

—Fula!

Using his gate, strengthening his body and wind magic in his hands, he propelled himself toward the target, which narrowly escaped the barrage of fireballs.

—So you were able to dodge it… it won't happen again.

—This attack will finish you off!

The cold voice of the silhouette floating above, covered by smoke, had spotted his target. After locating him with his vision enhanced by his yang magic, he was beginning to point with his index finger as a small white light began to reflect on his middle and index fingers.

—Jiwald!

With his finger, a beam of white light was fired at the speed of light. A beam of white energy had been fired at his opponent. If that light were to touch him, it would leave a huge hole capable of piercing and killing his flesh. An attack that was difficult to avoid.

As the light was fired, it had managed to injure one of his target's arms, or that would have happened if not for the sudden movement that only burned the front of his left arm.

—GHAAAAAAAAAH!

The heat had injured the black-hooded man, destroying part of his hood. He was facing the figure in crimson light. He wore clothing similar to a black fur coat, resembling that of a barbarian. He wore an eye patch, his hair, and mana had turned the color of blood. It was like standing in front of a demon.

The barbarian, without saying anything, simply took aim again to fire another magical attack at the black-hooded man. Using his index finger again, he aimed, trying to hit his enemy's vital point. Even with the buff from Yang magic, this depended on his aim, which was decent.

—Jiwald!

Again, a beam of light from his finger had been fired briefly toward the black-hooded man, but this time the hooded man had acted quickly to avoid the lethal shot.

—Dona!

A large rock dome rose and formed around him, shielding the black-hooded man from the beam of light from both fingers.

"Naive, this technique won't work against Jiwald. It would have worked with Ul Dona."

The beam of light had broken the stone barrier and passed through the hooded man; it was certain death. Smoke from the stone debris was everywhere.

"That was extremely disappointing. I thought it would last longer for someone of that fame."

The barbarian wore a satisfied expression; he had eliminated the only obstacle to his plans.

However, something shot out of the stone mound; a liquid blue mass had collided with one of the destroyed buildings.

The hooded figure had formed two barriers of two different spells over him at the same time, while crossing his arms as golden gem-studded bracelets emerged. He had successfully repelled the attack and had not been detected by the human-shaped blood demon.

Showering off his achievement, the fur-clad barbarian had let his guard down. And then...

Phee!

"What the hell!"

A swift wind slash hit the crimson barbarian's back, seriously damaging him and causing him to bleed from behind from the power of the magical blast.

The attacker was now the prey. As soon as he turned around, he was knocked back by an imperceptible follow-up attack, sending him tumbling into the rubble on the ground.

"Is he dead?"

"This kind of damage should have wiped him out immediately."

"Use lethal attacks."

"I can't allow him to remain alive; it's a risk I'm not willing to take."

The hooded figure had managed to tank his opponent's attack and counterattack his attacker with all his might.

BOOM!

A powerful explosion erupted from the force with which the crimson demon leaped, a leap propelled by his gate and the buff he has on himself.

If it weren't for the active void magic technique, the force and power of the attack would have killed him. The force of the invisible blow was almost similar to that of a large bullet cannon.

"HAAA, haaa, ha

"That was close, if it weren't for my active buff, it would have completely destroyed me."

"Damn... if I didn't have Hypnos's metia with me, I couldn't do anything. Not even with my current power can I stand up to that trash..."

"Because I had to..."

Ugh...!

The white-haired man had spat out blood from the effort made with the technique, imperceptible to the eye.

"If you're still struggling with that problem, you're not getting any older, old man."

The crimson-haired man approached slowly as he landed on the ground, and with his left hand behind his back, he moved his steel spear with a sharp point to attack the black-hooded man. Meanwhile, the latter drew his sword, a rusty saber that had lost its beautiful colors from how worn it was.

Both men, one young and one old, one stood still while the other walked in their direction, pointing his spear. The other held his rusty sword, resembling a medium-sized saber, with a unique hilt with gems and blurred figures carved on the steel sword, focused on attacking each other in front of them.

GHOAR!

—HAA!!

The clash of weapons began as the blade and spear clashed brutally. The spear was only empowered by triple the force, which could have been devastating had the sword's sheath not been covered in an energy of red lightning and dark purple flames.

They collided, countering the impact of the attack.

—Kid, you're attacking me with my own spells. That's not a sign of intelligence, you know that, right?

—HMJ.

The energetic redhead manipulated his spear with such finesse that it seemed like a game, while the swordsman moved swiftly from left to right while dodging the thrusts of the oncoming lancer, looking for an opportunity to land a lethal slash or parry on his opponent.

The pattern repeated itself; it was just a matter of time until one of them tired and ran out of mana.

However, he couldn't have expected that. The swordsman knew that the thing his enemy had with him was truly dangerous.

Dodging one of the thrusts, the lancer ripped open the man's hood, revealing only long, disheveled white hair, like snow. His face, as gaunt and pale as snow, was revealed. His yellowish eyes glared at his adversary with hatred.

"Oh, what happened to your hair? You look disgusting, even older."

"Seriously, that's your only comment on my appearance... you're vain."

"And to think you were... that man I respected."

"Hehe, look who's talking. Your malnourished and wasted appearance, not to mention your missing eye. You're sick of it."

—(There)

Finding a small opening thanks to his small talk, he attacked with a wind-powered punch in his left hand while holding his saber in his right, but the swordsman failed in the attempt. He felt counterattacked with a sudden twist of the spear, but at the last moment he was blocked by the dark saber, which made him retreat backward, avoiding flying with his other free hand, scraping the ground.

The crimson barbarian took advantage of this to attack with a powerful direct thrust while running with great strength and speed. What he didn't expect was for his opponent to attack him immediately.

—Dona

—That spell again, do you really think it will protect you? What a pathetic attempt to save your life.

…!

A medium shot almost made the lancer retreat to the side. If the shot had hit him, it would have seriously wounded him. His active spell has its limits.

—That was inu…!

Another shot was fired, this time seen by the lancer, who dodged what looked like a sharp earth boulder fired like a speeding drill. It shattered upon hitting the ground, leaving dirt and dust in its wake.

—KJJ…

"It's attacking me by surprise, that means… the magic's effect is wearing off… KJJ."

"My senses are diminishing. I can't see, and I can barely hear it because of the dust and dirt those attacks created."

—PRRRRRRRR

—There it is!

Impulsively, the lancer swung his spear in the direction the sound of the attack was coming from.

—Slash!

The stone was split in half by the sharp, pointed spear. As other boulders were fired, he sharply swung his spear to shatter the stone boulders.

Clash

The lancer patiently waited for the boulder to land a blow that would destroy it, but instead, as the boulder was about to be cut, it exploded.

It's a trap. The lancer was hit by a surprise explosion. The white-haired man had probably camouflaged the boulder with firestone, which exploded violently upon impact with the lancer. That explosion could have killed him if he hadn't reactivated the hollow magic at the last moment.

Reviving the flames of his resilience and power, despite being in a difficult situation, the albino wasn't someone easy to kill.

"What's wrong? You were so scared to receive that attack. Don't you trust your own power? My pebbles only cause one or two deep wounds, you know, they do almost nothing."

—Hmm, just like your nickname... you're a true beast. Only an animal would fight in such a barbaric manner.

—This beast is one that can harm and kill you in multiple ways, keep that in mind, bastard.

As the smoke continued to spread, the albino man's voice began to sadistically mock the lancer.

—I thought I could handle someone in your condition, but I should have put you out of your misery. But what can you expect from someone who doesn't show so much emotion?

—And what can you expect from someone as animalistic as you, who lets his emotions get the better of him?

—Monster

—Murderer

/////////////////////////////////

Both men stood face to face. The albino swordsman and the red-haired lancer raised their swords, clashing as they collided their attacks as all the smoke cleared from the landscape.

Slash

Crash

Both warriors leaped back as their weapons clashed, repelling each other. It was a fight to survive, and whoever landed the precise and lethal blow on their opponent would not back down.

Slash

Crash

The sword collided heavily with the base of the spear. The albino tried to destroy the base of the weapon, but that was unlikely thanks to the magical resistance the spear had, as did his saber.

Although both weapons were resistant, one was weak against the other.

The spear always defeats the sword.

The lancer slashed, but the swordsman dodged, parrying to his right with his left hand, directly at his opponent's head.

The redhead quickly jumped, avoiding the attack, while the albino slammed the ground hard, sending electric sparks flying. If they had hit his head, they would have caused severe brain damage and could have killed him.

"That bastard really wants to kill me."

"You know, relying on that magic is very counterproductive. In the long run, it's damaging, I think, something you've never thought about, and that technique is useless."

"My old partner, this wasn't supposed to end like this. Sometimes I don't understand what happened to you. I can't talk to you without his sadism clashing with his nobility. You don't seem to be the person I knew."

Almost falling, he was immediately struck by a spell, which strangely affected his body.

"What have you done to me? I'm having trouble moving."

"It's too much pressure, don't you think? I'm sure you want to stay in that form until all your bones break and you end up like a human soda can."

" "You call yourself human, you're a hypocrite. You don't even look like one." "This is the one who looks like a demon speaking." "I left my mortality behind long ago, but my soul is still human." "Cough, cough, cough," he coughed heavily, as if his lungs were bursting out of his body. "He's sick." "Despite their difficult situation, the two men spoke with a certain closeness to each other, a closeness that seemed to have ended today.

"I should have noticed the similarity between you and that person... if I had, I would have sought countermeasures against you."

"And I should have realized the people you were... you used us."

"A contingency plan would have been best. I think it's something I only agree with you on."

"Heh, old tricks are never forgotten, you know."

"Maybe..."

"... You don't have to do this."

Surprisingly, the white-haired man had abandoned that sadism, and it was being replaced by empathy.

" —I understand your fury, with some, with me too, but her… because she was the one who supported you when you lost your reason for living. Have you gone crazy?

—Because both she and that son of a bitch of a teacher of yours are the reason for this ordeal.

—Um… Do you really think revenge is worth anything? Look around you, there's only death and destruction.

The albino pointed to destroyed, burning structures and winged beasts flying over the disaster.

—YOU… stop talking like you're innocent!

—I KNOW WHAT YOU DID

—Oh, you think I killed him? On the contrary, I didn't kill him. It was his own greedy ambitions that brought him down. This is simply the result of a fallen and lost world.

And that's why nothing that happens here matters anymore. Your death, mine, none of it will make sense.

Once again, the savagery came to the fore, eclipsing the previous empathy shown a few moments ago.

Reactivating his technique, the sword that had previously lost its beautiful crimson glow had returned as if it were a lightsaber. He quickly approached a high surface near the lancer in order to decapitate him.

—I have the advantage. The high ground.

—You're underestimating me.

—...Don't try it... or you'll be torn to pieces.

—That arrogance is what sickens me the most.

—Die!

The swordsman leaped to deliver his killing blow.

Until...

"Leaper..."

Leaping, forcing his strength, the redhead disappeared from the sight of the white-haired man, who had slashed vertically at the ground, shattering heavily upon impact. He was then suddenly attacked by a powerful kick from his enemy, who had reappeared in his sight, sending him tumbling backward.

"AGH!"

"What the hell... my back..."

He had disappeared again, and then disappeared again while seemingly running through the air, but this time, the swordsman stood guard, using his sword to prevent the attack, but his enemy moved as if teleporting, making it difficult to be precise, even though they were both at a clear disadvantage.

"Pawn!"

His sword's sheath had blocked the direct kick to his body, which, if it hit, would break more bones in his body. The impact of the kick had caused him to slam into the air.

"I've seen that technique before... does that bastard have authority?" The lancer relentlessly ran with his right hand in a palm, about to strike the albino in the face with his right hand.

…—Palm of the First King!

With his fist, he dealt a blow that, if he hadn't dodged it by jumping, the swordsman would have pierced his chest like he did the ground.

—Tell me, did you kill the prisoner or who else you killed?

—You're not mistaken, I killed that human scum.

—That's good, it would be good news if you weren't using his skills.

—Damn bipolar...

—Stop making a good person out of the things you've done.

—How do you have the balls to say that? If it weren't for us, you'd still be a fucking slave!

Frantically, the swordsman fired red electric currents with his left hand that separated into beams.

Running quickly to the right, he dodged the discharge that was coming at him. However, he had furiously fired lightning bolts again with his left hand, redirecting them.

"Do you really expect me to believe your nonsense? You took advantage of me!" he retorted, his eyes filled with rage as he used his spear, spinning it to strike the swordsman.

"The latter, dodging the lash of the spear's impact, is marked on the ground."

"You say that as if I abused you. I helped you get out of that bad situation, and this is how you thank me by stabbing me in the back."

"... You always make excuses. Maybe you didn't sexually abuse me, but you've broken me..."

"Breaking me up is wanting you to be better, to be able to survive complications, to be able to defend yourself and live longer..."

Once again, the empathy in the creature nicknamed the beast was evident; his other arm was trembling, seeming to want to contain his fury.

"This training was for nothing. Look around you, do you think we stopped this!" "Don't blame me for this. I wasn't the one who caused the great calamity. It was them..."

"I blame you for being a fucking slave!"

"Slave... really... you're much more than that... Ho..."

"NO!"

"That name is my slave name!"

"But... from now on, I'm no longer..."

"Well, you won't reflect on your crimes... well, then, death!"

An imperceptible wave shook the earth as it aggressively charged toward the swordsman's former companion.

"Antares now!"

"(YES)"

After that action, the imperceptible attack had become visible to the lancer's sight. What was attacking him wasn't a wave, it was a kind of sinister claw wrapped in purple shadow, allowing him to completely dodge his former friend's attack.

"What the...!" Incredulous at what he had seen, he had used a second claw horizontally to tear at his enemy, but again his attack was nullified, this time by a blow from a magic-infused spear.

"It's not impossible."

"You have your tricks, I also have my own wild cards."

"Grrr!"

"I would do this without pain, but you leave me no choice."

In a split second, a large shadow appeared over the white-haired man. They were like the claws of a dragon covered in darkness.

"It'll be the hard way."

Covering part of the air, the large claw was ready to crush the spearman mercilessly, causing him to quickly retreat and counterattack.

"Leaper"

"The Jiwald"

This time, his fingers fired several beams of light that dismantled the giant shadow claw. As he leaped away, he avoided the impact of the giant attack, being destroyed by a claw of heat light.

"You're starting to annoy me..."

"I can do more than just annoy you. I'll bite you, hurt you, and gut you in so many unimaginable ways."

Again, he materialized another giant shadow claw, this time buried itself in the ground while waiting to hunt him down like an earthworm from the Augrian desert.

"Target locked, well, I'll wait for your signal."

"Not yet, keep waiting, Antares."

Using his senses, the lancer began to try to perceive where the devastating attack would come from. The ground reflected a shadow that shimmered on the floor.

Cromp

—Jiwald

A purple part emerged from the ground, while the red-haired demon had hissed at his body, even at the risk of his bones being savagely compressed inside his body, protruding like swords stuck in his body.

—Leaper

—Palm of the First King!

They had once again shattered the enormous shadow attack with a single punch.

—What the heck!

—Those are more claws!

Two claws crawled rapidly as if they were black snakes trying to bite him. Both claws approached from the left and right sides, attacking together, seeking to tear their enemy's skin.

—No, monster, back away!—The enraged reddish barbarian leaped to the left while stabbing his spear, strengthening his blow with mana, destroying the small shadow claw. He then swiftly repelled it with his other hand and two fingers in his middle and index fingers. Jiwald shot the other hand, destroying it with the heat wave from his fingers.

Poof

¡¡¡

Crack

—Giah!

Suddenly, a claw ripped open his enemy's leg from behind, tearing off a section of skin. If he hadn't jumped out of its reach, his leg would have been savagely ripped from his body.

—Giah, ahh

Pained by the tear, he counterattacked by teleporting, using a leaper while propelling himself with his spear to thrust it toward his opponent's head.

But he missed, dodging the blow by flipping over.

He was counterattacked by a fire-enveloped kick that left a shoe print on his clothes, burning them. Like the lancer, the swordsman's instincts were active.

—Wah!

—Fuck!

—What's wrong, bitch? It hurts.

—GU.HH

Click

A sound rang out as the swordsman used his ring, while his enemy was agonizing from the second-degree burn. The kick left its mark on his skin.

—This is the end and you know it… juh

—GUh.

Both were wounded and tired. They stood, wielding their weapons, sword and spear. They were the only thing keeping them steady, badly injured and with little energy, little mana.

Both their left and right hands were using their dominant hands: the lancer's left hand, the swordsman's right, both ready to engage in a duel without magic.

One was damaged while the other was worn out from using crimson magic.

—Waghaaa!!

—I warned you, in the long run, it hurts. Void magic is like a drug. The more you use it, the more addicted you will become. That drug only lessens the effects, but it's really harmful. In the long run, it will only destroy you.

—That's how you ended up…

—No… it wasn't one, but it wasn't the main one.

—And that's it?

—Forget it… it's not worth it.

...

—You know, we could just go to another realm. Get out of this hell.

—And then? Wait for us to be consumed, no thanks, I'll fix this no matter the cost.

"Last chance—surrender or perish."

"Surrendering isn't an option, not in this situation. I can't abandon that small flame." The spearman still held the determination in his gaze not to be consumed by the despair of the moment, in contrast to his opposite, his former ally.

As the swordsman's dull face revealed itself, he twisted his mouth and spoke as if he were a robot. His expression showed no emotion. "Wow… that flame has already gone out. There's nothing left to save. Everything is lost. Accept it. Only death remains."

"Do you really think there's anything left to save in this dump? Accept it. We're in a fucking hell!"

"Says the person who sold his soul to those monsters."

"Enough, I've decided…"

"…

"You have to die no matter what."

"Goodbye, old friend."

And without further ado, the final clash of warriors began.

Both of them rushed forward in firm arms and collided their attacks,

Slash!

Clash!

Sword against spear, the blades of opposing weapons clashed again and again.

The force of the blows made both their hands tremble, waiting for any opening to land a slash or damaging attack on each other.

Slash

Slash

While one drew his sword, careful not to swing, his opponent held his spear horizontally while twirling it both offensively and defensively.

He quickly blocked and attacked, but managed to land nothing but scratches and minor cuts on his enemy's shoulders and body.

While the swordsman acted as if he didn't mind receiving these minor wounds, he didn't mind them, unlike the worried lancer. The fight continued for several minutes.

Slash!

Clash!

Both merely contained their enemy's attacks, their firm feet dragged by the impact of the blows. The clangs of metal weapons echoed.

Until...

—HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

CRASH!

A heavy metal crashed to the ground as someone leaped backward.

What was seen lying there on the ground was the lancer's spear; the redhead had lost his weapon.

The swordsman quickly went to cut off his enemy's head, but the latter covered himself with an arm as he dodged before being touched by the blade of the sword charged flat.

Slash!

—-WAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

A long object had flown around the sky, spinning fiercely until it fell to the ground.

His right arm had been finely severed from the body of the crimson demon.

—-SON OF A BITCH!

—What's wrong... haven't you gotten used to losing parts of your body yet? You've already lost your right eye before, this is nothing.

—You're sick!

—Not only am I saner than the people of this world.

Wielding his sword in his right hand, he spurted blood from the horrible cut inflicted on the lancer's arm.

—What's wrong? Aren't you very bold?

—AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

—What a crybaby you are... but that will teach you to respect me, since there is a tiny, tiny detail, a minuscule detail after all. I am your OWNER!

The lancer had cruelly lost his arm, while the white-haired man just looked at himself, enjoying this abominable act he had committed, although his facial expression not only showed enjoyment but also anger at the redhead, which erupted in extremely aggressive scoldings towards him. He had lost concentration, and his body was losing the effects of his magic, and he was falling to his knees from the pain of the damaging attack.

—You know, this hurts me more than it hurts you.

"Your disobedience has reached my limit..." The white-haired man had drawn his sword in order to charge a slashing attack, sheathing it.

"You're at my mercy, you fucking slave, you're out of gas.

"Now... Die."

ZAP!

In the blink of an eye, a fiery needle had been shot into the swordsman's right cheek.

"The blow had pierced a part of his face, causing him to bleed; it was as if his jaw had been pierced.

"This is as far as you go, Witcher!"

Suddenly, from behind the swordsman, now called Witcher, he had placed a katana to the latter's neck. He was clutching his face, his flesh torn away, revealing only bone. While the wounded lancer looked on, frustrated as his comrade failed to act as he should have, but relieved because the sacrifice would not be in vain.

"Alberich-sama, we did it, we'll finally kill this monster!"

"There was another one!"

"Antares... you took a while—I hope you have an explanation later..."

"Alberich... um, so that's your name now... the other one was a better name."

"Silence... If you want to live, I hope you answer my questions." The red-haired man, Alberich, said, his right arm pointed to fire magic in case the hostage swordsman doesn't cooperate.

"Ah, what do you want?"

"What did you do to those people?"

"Who are you specific about? I've done many things to many people, both good and mostly bad."

"STOP PLAYING THE FOOL!" Antares, a brown-hooded man with a two-horned demon mask on his head, similar to an oni, shouted angrily.

"What Antares is referring to, what did you do to make those people go crazy? The people we rescued."

" -Oh, that's it.

-So what did you do... Alberich's face showed an emotion of disgust.

-Simple- I gave them the only thing that could save them.

-You turned them into monsters. They're extremely aggressive and have a voracious appetite because of you!

"My fault, oh, on the contrary, they offered. I asked them if they wanted to live, and they said yes.

So I simply pass on my curse to them.

"YOU!"

"Antares remains calm. What curse are you referring to?" he said as he carefully covered his wound with a bandage to prevent further loss of Alberich's blood.

"A curse that will make them stronger. Yes, but almost no one can achieve it because it costs them their sanity and a small part of their humanity," the white-haired man replied.

"You turned them into animals. What the hell did you put in them to make them so irrational and aggressive?"

"... Your curse... is that perhaps what's been degenerating you?"

"HEHEHE" No."

The swordsman mocked his comment.

"I was like that before."

"No, you weren't like that before..."

"Alberich... that means he is..."

"Yes... he's patient zero."

" He caused the Bloodthirsty plague.

"Alberich... do you have any idea what this warlock really is?"

"Yes, I have a vague theory about what he is...

But... I have no idea what turned him like this.

"Why do you say that, sir...?"

...

Because according to a bestiary...

those things don't exist in this world... At least not in this form..."

"He's not an archbishop or a warlock... He's an abomination.

Antares—forget what I said... finish him off... he's too dangerous to leave alive."

Without hesitation, Antares, using his katana, instantly cuts the white-haired man's throat. A cut like that would undoubtedly kill anyone without a problem. In turn, Antares kicked the abomination of the swordsman who was lying dead on the ground.

"Antares... you have the preparations ready... we need everything to go precisely according to plan."

–Sir, you mean…

—Yes… we will divulge more about the truth, the truth of…

CHOMP!

—Alberich sama-

Without warning, the earth moved abruptly while Alberich was still lost in his thoughts, and Antares ended up pushing him back forcefully, to his misfortune, causing Antares, who had put on a bandage to cover his blood loss, to bleed even more.

GHAAAA!

Without any sense to Alberich's logic, Antares, his companion, was floating, and it seemed as if he were being hanged; it was something so supernatural in his sight.

To his misfortune, Antares's head turned sharply to the side while his body, hands, and legs twisted desperately.

Crack

That sound was Antares's bones breaking. They had broken his neck and cruelly ended his life.

—AH, ah, ah, ah. I almost didn't count it.

—How are you still alive?

In front of him stood the witcher swordsman, whose face now had a bit of flesh on it, and his neck, which was now repulsively binding parts of the damage caused. The veins and flesh could be seen slowly reappearing, regenerating the serious damage to his body.

"So you purposely feigned weakness and let yourself be attacked so you could kill Antares."

"You're not human... not at all."

Antares' body continued to float, driven by an invisible force that mercilessly took his companion's life.

"I am superior to you and most humans. I am better than humans."

"Wretched murderer."

"Alberich, it seems you've forgotten your place. Let me show you where you belong."

The white-haired man, using an imperceptible force, had released Antares's body and let it fall to the ground, his dead body still slowly regenerating, while he was seen smiling sadistically.

" —So soon you're paralyzed, so little resistance do you have.

Without a second thought, Alberich fired, evoking the Jiwald's spell, attacking with a heat claw that ended up severing his leg. Even dodging couldn't prevent the cut on his leg. The claw had marked his leg violently, as if it were a cow.

—-AGH!!

"Damn, he killed Antares. At this rate, all will be lost."

—You killed your friend, you know…

—If he were my friend, he wouldn't have stabbed me in the back.

The swordsman was slowly regenerating his wounds again, writhing after being damaged. Alberich distanced himself, still wounded and bleeding from his bandaged severed arm.

—-GWAHHHHHHHH!

Bastard son of a bitch.

AGH!

The white-haired man, furious even with his body bleeding, ran towards Alberich, who, unfortunately, had cornered the redhead against a wall that was the remains of a destroyed building.

WOW!

—-You don't look so brave now, do you?

He had been captured, and with his hands, the monstrous man was strangling Alberich.

Monstrous hands were grabbing his neck, more like the claws of an animal. If things continued like this, Alberich would be easily slaughtered.

—-I could kill you right now, but that wouldn't be satisfactory, you know.

Putting cruel pressure on Alberich's neck, he slowly squeezed his neck until he couldn't breathe.

GAH

—Squirm, let's fight for your pathetic life.

Alberich continued to struggle to free himself from the sadistic swordsman's strangulation. He began to hit his face hard with his other arm and fist, while kicking hard with his feet. He was only making use of the plane of his door, but the albino's resistance was too much compared to the scrawny Alberich, who only relied on what he had.

That was until...

Alberich's body froze; the force of the grip on his neck had left him unconscious, with no oxygen in his body held by the monstrous hands of his enemy.

—-Hehehe, that was it, even rats fight harder for their lives. I thought you'd last longer, little one. It seems I wasn't demanding enough with you.

It seems you're weaker than the Argle knight, useless.

But even he was a genius at healing. He was. Not even he could cure me of my curse.

Long-eared bastard

- The albino held Alberich in his hands, his fine claws holding his victim's neck motionless. Leaving one hand loose, the swordsman, claw in hand, was pulling it away as if he were about to deliver an attack that would impale his opponent's face while he muttered, "I'm going to leave your face like a colander."

...

Fish!

-

GAHHHHHHHH!

Without even listening or blinking, with the force of a truck or stronger, a long, sharp pole pierced the swordsman. After the impact, he dropped Alberich, who moved his hand, which ended up bringing his steel spear down toward his stomach near his navel.

The spear had impaled the white-haired man near the wall, causing severe damage to his enemy.

GAH

- Son of a bitch!

You played dead too.

"I learned that from you, besides, I couldn't beat you in this current state."

"Hehehe, it seems I lost-hehe.

Anyway, everything's already gone to shit, what's the point?"

"Not yet, that's just for you."

"Jo, so you think you can save this? The pandemic has reached far, you know, and the cult is unstoppable. I'm just a small part of this chaos.

"Everyone will pay for this, and I'll take care of it myself."

"How do you plan to do that... this world is already lost."

"I'll find a way, my flame of hope hasn't gone out yet."

"You know if you kill me, the sword saint will come for you. You're aware of risking so much. THAT guy is a real monster. You don't want to mess with him, right?"

Without hesitation, Alberich violently pulled his spear from the body of his mad enemy, which had completely ripped open his stomach, releasing his organs and corrosive gastric juice. That the spear was also emanating harmful magic that began to damage him continuously.

"The sword saint... he won't be a problem. Besides doing a mediocre job, he hasn't resolved this hellish crisis." Alberich cruelly approached and...

... The palm of his hand had touched his enemy and...

Only a murmur was heard in another language that the other person seemed to know.

Bon Appetit

Mysteriously, the albino was affected by the words; his mind became clouded and...

He was screaming hysterically, very different from his previous way of acting.

The spear, now soaked in dripping blood, had now lit up crimson at its sharp tip. Slowly moving away from his enemy, the red-haired Alberich at that moment began to chant silently and...

A reddish whirlwind formed from his staff like a spiral, and ended up savagely striking the body of his former friend. He had destroyed his torso and vaporized his enemy's stomach. There was no doubt that he had annihilated his enemy. His friend was already dead.

Akh…

— Damn… I have to return to base… my healing magic won't be enough. And the impact also destroyed my arm; I need a replacement immediately.

He had once again activated the corrosive magic that would allow him to quickly reach his target. He fled quickly to avoid meeting the Sword Saint, with one thought in mind:

— "At any cost… I will change the future."

And he disappeared without a trace.

Unknown time.

Unknown day.

Unknown month.

Unknown place.

—Oh, hello, I guess I'll write... well, and if it's not me, I don't expect you to be able to read this either. After all, it's encrypted in a language only I know, they call it Japanese. Anyway, thanks for reading this. It's nice to meet people and be guided. In any case, maybe you're spying, or maybe I'm dead.

—It's been a long time, in this new world, in this inhospitable world. I don't remember when I arrived in this strange world. I don't remember when I got here, but from the little I understood, it would now be solar time. Also, this is technically cheating, since I should have started this diary, or maybe a log, call it whatever you like.

Day 1 - Solar Time

—I forgot when I was teleported to this world. I think I lost track of time today.

A powerless voice spoke roboticly, a voice devoid of any emotion, as if it were dead.

—The first day was a complete nightmare; everything was enigmatic and unknown to me.

—A world full of familiar demi-humans, dragons, hybrids, monsters. Soon after, I learned many things that were truly unpleasant and kept me from resting.

—Like slavery was legal in this country, its economy and currency are different, even that there are more than four kingdoms.

Like discrimination was too prevalent in this kingdom. For me, this used to be something too bothersome, but later I understood why...

—A world full of things only seen in fantasy: demons, demi-humans, knights, elves, wizards, witches, spirits, nobles, demonic monsters, even more terrifying and ruthless than the demons themselves, creatures from beyond the underworld.

Day 2 - Lunar Time

—Appearing suddenly in a strange environment, without any advantage, this isn't like an isekai. For hikikomori or chūnibyō, this would have been a second chance, to leave behind the lethargy of the real world, a place where they could be better than in their own world...

—No, on the contrary, this isn't like your typical generic isekai.

Unfortunately, that wasn't my case... In this world, I didn't gain any gifted abilities or godly powers; I had to become strong on my own. I had to fight to survive, day after day.

The only advantage I had over myself was a rusty sword and apparently somewhat worn armor that could break from use, and a strangely light armor.

—I didn't know how to use weapons before... I had so few things to defend myself with. I still wonder how the hell I'm still alive. It doesn't help that sometimes I freeze up in the face of any threat. I feel like I'm losing consciousness and I hear voices... could it be a spirit?

Or maybe I'm just slowly going crazy. Either way, I'm just thankful I wasn't consumed by those cannibals. Those things left me with horrendous trauma. I witnessed them begin to bite their prey's flesh with their sharp teeth, while savagely tearing at their victims. It was grotesque, that's the only way I could describe it.

SOMETIMES THEY LOOK LIKE A KIND OF MONSTER FROM MY WORLD, BUT I WOULDN'T KNOW WHICH ONE BECAUSE THEY BEAR MANY SIMILARITIES WITH TWO

Ghouls and wendigos. Beings who eat human flesh, and that's precisely what turned them into monsters in the original legends. They committed the sin of cannibalism and became those creatures from hell.

Although I won't deny that they also have vampiric traits due to their two long fangs. Some refer to it as a kind of strange disease that makes them extremely aggressive toward humans and apparently other species. The strangest thing is that, according to the inhabitants of this world, these things are very recent, which means they're an abomination to this world.

In this world, death was just around the corner: disease, high crime in the streets, lunatic and sick cults, hitmen, psychopaths with hellish powers who do whatever they want with almost no one able to stand up to them. The latter are the worst, heartless, sick people who only cause chaos in the world. They always want their will done, they're capricious, defying them is suicidal, their abilities crush those who, to them, are just vile insects. They're scum, there's no better way to describe them.

Day 5 - Solar Time

—Oh shit, I forgot to update this thing for two days. Sorry, but I haven't had a good time lately.

—I find myself alone in this world… why was I summoned here? Why did I come to this hell? Am I dead? Is it the end of the world, the apocalypse, Ragnarok, Judgment Day? There are so many synonyms to describe this calamity I'm living through. I have no doubt I'm not in a god's place.

The truth is, I feel like nothing makes sense.

–At first, things seemed typical of a medieval world, but I don't know when, everything went downhill, when it all went to hell. Here too…

Day 10-Lunar hour

Oh, really, I'm bad at organizing… I'm terrible with order.

The only good thing is that I've gathered more data and information about this world—which might be useful to you. Or you ask my name? Well, my name is Mizard, just Mizard. It seems I have no family or friends. It's kind of depressing if you think about it. Well, I'm not here to cause pity. Just move on to what's important.

—In this span of time, everything has been crumbling, buildings and structures are burning, people are dying nonstop, and the survivors are hiding from such a terrible hell. Hybrid monsters are invading the streets, blood spilling on the ground, creatures far worse than mabeasts devouring and killing anyone they find. Children are dying either from the black-hooded men or the evil monsters invading us. Knights are dying in battle. The candidates for queen remain bewildered by the critical situation of the kingdom.

—One only seeks to put the person responsible for this in a grave, while the other is in tears and crying over the destruction and chaos. Another seems to be slowly losing her sanity, it seems to be breaking little by little, and another doesn't even know how to deal with this situation.

Day 27 - Time ???

Why do I bother now... everything is going from bad to worse...

I hate my life.

Nothing they do works, even if they escape elsewhere.

–There's nothing we can do...

–Fear, sadness, anger, madness, despair were the most common feelings in this situation.

–All or almost all of them are stained with the blood of the fallen, or of those responsible for the disaster.

–The witch cult... the nightly crying, those were the so-called disasters. This world is condemned to death.

–Because I...

–Because I!!

The voice began to scream with more anger, despair, and helplessness.

–Because I had to come to this world!! Because I have to suffer and see these misfortunes!!!

–Because I have to see people die!!

–I'm weak… extremely weak…

–The only way I survived… is by hiding and protecting myself among people's flesh, like a filthy rat, a parasite that clings only to survive the recent calamity.

–UGH

NO

–The pain again

Damn, it must be that bite that thing gave me, maybe I'm sick, did it give me that disease…
