Chapter 23 : The Battle Is Over :
" So let's see just how good you can be against ninjutsu . "
" Alright Mr Yagami please go ahead . "
" .... "
With that both of them simultaneously made distance once again .
After that Mr Yagami started to make hand seals at a fast pace that was not possible for most of the students to see .
" Snake - Ram - Monkey - Boar - Horse - Tiger . "
" Katon: Gōkākyū no Jutsu . "
After the hands used were finished in a fluid manner he quickly released a hot flaming ball towards Takeru .
" Wow ! Is that the great fireball ninjutsu ? "
" I think that's a C rank fire style ninjutsu. "
" When will I be able to learn something like that? "
" Let's see how Takeru gets out of this one . "
The students seeing the use of such a majestic ninjutsu were at awe .
After all most of them became students Academy with hopes that in future they would be also be able to do such flashe and cool ninjutsu .
However despite there are many of them we are also concerned about Takeru .
After all of this had gone far beyond any normal testing of skills .
And even if the adults held back their power and would step in time so that nothing serious happens .
But still the concern in their hearts remain .
Many of them thought that Takeru should just give up the fight at this point .
Or maybe he is going to use some water style ninjutsu to counter the fire style .
And if not he would have to dodge the attack .
However what Takeru did next would be something that not even the two experienced adults in the group could have predicted .
" Alright ! I am done playing. "
Gripping his katana, Takeru took a step forward .
Chakra started to flow throughout his blade as he concentrated it at its edge .
" Slash !! "
Then in a single move a powerful chakra slash would be realised at a high speed .
It was not a high level powerful destructive attack or some kind of flashy elemental ninjutsu .
But it was a pure concentrated force empowered with chakra that was made for precision and cut .
And it did its job perfectly .
Because the next moment when the slash hit the incoming Fire Ball the latter was cut in half .
But that was not all .
In the very next moment the remaining force from the slash traveled through and hits a tree behind cutting a huge portion of it .
" .... "
Looking at the scene everyone in the area had gone pin drop silence .
No one at this moment dared to say anything .
To be more precise, they simply didn't know what to say anymore .
Even Mr Yagami and Shino sensei were shocked beyond belief .
Because this had gone beyond any normal kenjutsu shown so far.
" What the hell was that thing? "
" Did .... did .... he just cut .... I mean cut open a fireball in half . "
" Holly hell ! Who the hell can cut open a C rank fire type ninjutsu in a single strike and still be an Academy student . "
" Hey buddy, punch me in the face. I think I am dreaming because this can't be real . "
At this point everyone among the students were getting more and more excited and baffled .
This classmate of there's had already proven himself to be far beyond anything of Academy level .
But now things were really getting absurd .
While this was going on Takeru on the stage was thinking something else .
' I still need to work on it . '
Unlike the awe felt by everyone else Takeru himself found the effect of the attack underwhelming .
While the effect was spectacular it still did not have the power necessary to destroy the tree behind it .
At the same time when looking at the splitting fire ball he could tell that the precision of the technique was still lacking .
This is a technique that he created just two weeks ago so it was not perfected yet .
This is something that he created while trying to mix the chakra with the swordsmanship of Miyamoto Mushahi character template .
The Miyamoto Musashi character template from the Baki series had exceptional strength in pure kenjutsu .
However the greatest weakness here is the lack of long range attacks and the character's inherent unfamiliarity with the chakra system of the naruto world .
That's why Takeru started experimenting by mixing chakra based power to his kenjutsu .
Something similar to the samurai from the land of Iron and others .
At first he had some major difficulties in doing so .
It was due to the lack of availability of good examples and teaching in the method .
While he could visualize the technique in his mind but actually managing to do it in practically was much more difficult.
And in this regard the huge chakra reserve from the Senju Hashirama template came both as a help and as a struggle .
The help was that since his chakra and stamina reserves was on an entirely different level he could practice and experiment with his techniques over and over again without stopping for much rest .

As such this advantage increased his proficiency and learning speed by a lot .
However the down side was that his chakra control was not yet totally perfect .
Sometimes he would put so much chakra in his wooden practice sword that those fragile things would break down almost immediately .
And after wasting a lot of those wooden swords, he finally decided to use the Wado Ichimonji .
And after that the previous problems disappeared .
' It seems the system had indeed modified the great blade to accommodate the chakra system of this Naruto world . '
And this allowed him to master this technique to some extent where it could be used proficiently on a battlefield within 2 weeks .
However since he was using a practice sword and not the great blade that's why the power of the attack was less refined .
' Obviously if I had used the Wado Ichimonji just now then the strike would have been far more lethal. '
But there is no need to do that .
After all this is a practice battle that is intended to test his skills .
If victory alone was the only thing he was after then he would have just used his powers from the Senju Hashirama template to easily handle an average jonin like Mr Yagami .
" Mr Yagami, let's continue the fight . "
With that he once again focused his attention on his opponent ready to use his kenjutsu to its fullest .
" Alright then no more games . "
The battle just now had proved that there was no need to hold back as such Mr Yagami decided to go even harder.
" Katon: Gōkākyū no Jutsu . "
Once again with his quick hand seal techniques he formed the fireball .
But this time instead of just one he released multiple small and medium sized fireballs in a consecutive manner .
At first he had been shocked by how the young combatant in front of him managed to cut a C rank fire type ninjutsu even .
After all even if he did not use his full power in that attack it should have been impossible for even a average chunin let alone a first day Academy student .
But now he wanted to see just how much longer he can do that .
And Takeru did not disappoint him .
" Slash !!!! "
With the swift motion of his body he quickly dodged the first few fireballs that were too close .
Then one after another released chakra slashes all swiftly cutting through the barrages of fireballs .
" Slash !! Slash !! "
Soon he destroyed all the incoming attacks and charged his sword right at Mr Yagami .
" Doton: Doryūheki . "
However before his sword could reach the opponent, a Earth wall had already stood before them .
" You would have to do more than that to defeat me . "
With that Mr Yagami once again made some distance and started to make hand seals to use the Fire Ball technique .
And this time he intended to use all his strength in the attack .
However, just at that very moment .
" Syuun !!!! "
" Ahhh !!!! "
A scream of pain left Mr Yagami's mouth as he held his right arm and fell back even further, unable to continue the hand seals .
At this moment the man was sweating heavily and looked as if he had seen some kind of a ghost .
' What the hell was that? '
' Just now I was about to try another fireball technique . '
But the very next moment he did not see Takeru move his katana .
And yet to him it felt like a razor thin white blade had just slashed entirely through his right arm cutting clean through the entire thing with terrifying precision .
And this was no mere illusion as a sharp phantom pain went through his body making him scream .
This pain was so sharp and unexpected that his body instinctively jerked backward in order to defend itself .
However when he looked at his arm it was still there unharmed as if everything was just a dream .
' And yet the pain I felt was too real . '
Now the real question was what just happened .
What was that technique?
' Was it a genjutsu ? '
Looking at the young boy in front he could feel that his aura had changed .
Takeru was no longer charging forward to attack.
And instead calmly looking at him .
Suddenly an overwhelming sense of dread , distortion and existential terror creeped into his spine making the man shiver .
' It's like I am looking at an empty cave with nothing but predatory dominance looking back at me . '
Mr Yagami at this moment felt as if a phantom illusion of a sword was position directly in front of him and a single move would mean his end .
' No, it must be an illusion. '
With that thought in mind he once again started to make hand seals .
" Snake .... "
" Syuun !!!! "
However once again before he could even finish the second step of his hand seals he felt the same painful feeling .
A white phantom blade cutting through his right leg .
" Thud ! "
With that he lost his footing and fell to the ground .
This was the second time that Mr Yagami couldn't complete his hand seals and even the students looking at the scene understood something .
The battle was already coming to an end .
" Alright, let's end this . "
With that Takeru made his move quickly covering the distance between the two with his katana coming from sideways .
This match tested the full capacity of all the skills he had mastered from the Miyamoto Musashi character template .
At the same time he also used and practiced the new techniques we had created .
Mr Yagami had also proven to be quite the fruitful opponent .
While his strength was certainly nothing compared to experienced jonins but it was the perfect opponent for him .
" Alright then let's end this fight . "
Mr Yagami, understanding that the conclusion was about to be reached, also did not fall back .
With the movements of his fingers he unleashed all the remaining strings he had hidden .
All of them quickly formed a formation like a spider web trying to block and dislodge the incoming attacker .
Then he quickly threw all the remaining projectiles he had .
" Tang ! Tang ! Tang ! Tang ! "
However Takeru's predictability deflected all his attacks .
And then under the watchful eyes of the crowd the final strikes of the battle were delivered .
" Swang ! Tang ! "
And to the astonishment and shock the results finally became clear .
On the field the last remaining ninja blade in Mr Yagami's hand had fallen out making it a clear victory for Takeru .
For a moment no one spoke in the entire area as everyone just looked at the same in front of them .
And it was finally after some time that Shino, who was dazed by the fight, snapped back to reality .
Then he quickly climbed on to the stage and delivered the final results for everyone present to hear .
" The battle is over . "
" And the winner is .... "
" Yamamoto Takeru !!!! "
