I wouldn't say I've been looking forward to this trip, but I do anticipate spending quality time with Reese. I double-check our bags to ensure I haven't forgotten anything essential for the next three days.
True to his word, Castiel keeps his distance from me, and honestly, I find it strange to walk past him like we're strangers in our own home. I planned to order food, but I still woke up to breakfast laid out, a packed lunch for work, and dinner waiting for me when I returned.
Occasionally, I'd pass his bedroom and catch glimpses of him playing with Reese on his lap, chatting or engaging with her dolls. At least they're still close, and oddly enough, she hasn't noticed that we're not on good terms.
Initially, I expected Reese to reject my marriage to Castiel, throwing tantrums while he tried to win her over, but they bonded so well in such a short time that I'm starting to see similarities in their features.
