Heather says nothing but drops to her knees, bowing her head to the ground. "I'm so sorry, Elspeth. Please drop the lawsuit. I know I'm not good enough like you, and Father is ashamed of me because I'm not his legitimate daughter. But you've won—I'm no longer the Loughton heiress."
"What are you saying, Heather?"
"Please, I've let Castiel go. I know I shouldn't have spoken about your personal business online, especially when Castiel chose to accept you despite your past." She looks up at me through teary, bloodshot eyes. "I don't have money like you do. Father won't support me because I'm illegitimate. Please forgive me and help me. I'll tell them it's a lie; after all, there's barely any evidence to prove what I'm saying. Please!" Her wail attracts the attention of a few onlookers.
