Chapter 12 - Trade

Fang Hong dismounted his horse, led it to the side of the pavilion, and then slowly walked towards the pavilion.

As he stepped into the shop, a simple yet neat room came into his view.

The room was filled with a faint, refreshing fragrance, a few calligraphies and paintings hung on the walls, and three wooden counters were neatly arranged inside.

At this moment, three Cultivators were still by the counters, their heads bowed, examining the goods in the wooden cabinets.

Fang Hong's gaze fell on the young attendant in green behind the counter.

The young attendant in green looked no more than fifteen or sixteen years old, with a slightly thin build and a smile on his face; his Cultivation was at the third level of Qi Refining.

When the young attendant in green saw Fang Hong arrive, the smile on his face grew even brighter.

He quickly waved, "Fellow Daoist, please feel free to look around; we have a wide variety of Talismans here."

Fang Hong nodded in response and walked to the wooden counter.

He bowed his head slightly to examine the counter and found various finished Talismans placed inside.

He recognized all these Talismans, as they were all Elementary Talismans, and he had drawn quite a few himself in his cloth bag.

Fang Hong carefully looked at the effects and prices marked on the Talismans in the counter.

As he looked, he was surprised to find that even Elementary Talismans were divided into low-grade, mid-grade, and high-grade, which resulted in different prices.

Among them, offensive Talismans were noticeably more expensive, for example, an Elementary high-grade Wind Blade Talisman sold for sixty Spirit Stones.

Once activated, it could unleash a fierce Wind Blade, said to be capable of severely injuring even a Cultivator at the thirteenth level of Qi Refining…

Fang Hong was filled with astonishment when he saw this price.

He thought of the dozens of Talismans he had drawn in his cloth bag; if he sold them, he should be able to earn a good number of Spirit Stones…

After observing for a while, Fang Hong understood the prices of these Talismans, and now he knew how to price them when he sold Talismans in the future.

Fang Hong looked up, waved to the young attendant in green, and asked, "Do you sell blank Talisman paper here?"

"Yes, we do. How much do you want, Fellow Daoist? Blank Talisman paper is ten Spirit Stones for a hundred sheets," the young attendant in green replied enthusiastically with a smile.

Fang Hong heard the price, pondered for a moment, and then replied, "Give me three hundred sheets."

The young attendant in green nodded, turned around, and began searching under the counter.

A moment later, he straightened up, holding a stack of Talisman paper, and handed it to Fang Hong: "Fellow Daoist, these are three hundred sheets of blank Talisman paper. Please take a look."

Fang Hong took the Talisman paper, carefully flipped through it, and after confirming there were no issues, he nodded with satisfaction.

He reached into the cloth bag at his waist, pulled out thirty Spirit Stones, and handed them to the young attendant in green.

With the Talisman paper in hand, Fang Hong was secretly delighted.

With his current Talisman-drawing skill, these three hundred sheets of blank Talisman paper would soon become finished Elementary high-grade Talismans.

"Fellow Daoist, are you buying this Talisman paper to practice drawing Talismans?"

"If so, we also have some good Talisman brushes in our shop…" The young attendant in green seemed to have seen through Fang Hong's intention and began to promote enthusiastically.

As he spoke, he pulled out some Talisman brushes from under the counter and placed them on the counter.

"For example, this 'Azure Wolf Brush' is made from the hair and essence blood of a Peak-level Demonic Beast, the Azure Wolf. Using this brush to draw Talismans can significantly increase the success rate!" He handed the brush to Fang Hong, allowing him to examine it carefully.

Fang Hong's heart stirred; a Peak-level Azure Wolf was equivalent to a human Cultivator at the Peak of Qi Refining.

Fang Hong took the Talisman brush and examined it carefully, seeing a faint azure light emanating from the brush body, exuding a nimble aura.

This Talisman brush was indeed quite good.

Fang Hong asked curiously, "How many Spirit Stones?"

"Only one hundred Spirit Stones," the young attendant in green replied with a smile.

Upon hearing the price, Fang Hong's face immediately showed bitterness, and he secretly groaned.

"Sorry, I don't have that many Spirit Stones on me; I can't afford it…" Fang Hong said somewhat awkwardly.

"Alright then… Fellow Daoist, take care," the young attendant in green said regretfully, a hint of disappointment flashing in his eyes, but he quickly regained his smile.

He realized Fang Hong's financial situation and said nothing more.

Fang Hong nodded, turned, and left the Talisman shop.

Stepping out of the shop, Fang Hong saw his horse still standing quietly to the side, and he breathed a sigh of relief.

He walked to his horse, lightly leaped onto its back, and continued to stroll leisurely down the street.

After a while, Fang Hong arrived at another trading street.

This street was even livelier than the previous one, with people coming and going.

Fang Hong slowly moved through the crowd, his eyes scanning the various stalls.

Suddenly, he saw an inconspicuous small stall.

The stall owner was a Blue-robed strongman, and he was also a Cultivator, his aura reaching the eleventh level of Qi Refining.

Fang Hong dismounted his horse and came to the Blue-robed strongman's stall.

Fang Hong's gaze fell on the wooden table, where he found a few Elementary Talismans and some miscellaneous books.

Seeing these books, Fang Hong was secretly delighted, because among them was a copy of the Qi Condensation Skill that he Cultivated; he wondered if this Cultivation Technique was complete.

The Blue-robed stall owner coldly glanced at Fang Hong, and in a low voice, asked, "Fellow Daoist, are you looking to buy Talismans?"

"How much is this Rejuvenation Talisman?" Fang Hong pointed to one of the low-grade Talismans and asked casually.

His tone tried to appear calm, not wanting the stall owner to see his eagerness for that Cultivation Technique.

"The Rejuvenation Talisman is five Spirit Stones," the Blue-robed stall owner replied indifferently.

Fang Hong was slightly startled by the price; it was a bit cheaper than the Talisman shop, so it seemed this stall owner was employing a low-price strategy.

"Then how many levels of incantations does this Qi Condensation Skill record?" Fang Hong asked again.

"This is the complete Qi Condensation Skill, thirteen levels in total. If you want it, I'll sell it to you for fifteen Spirit Stones," the Blue-robed stall owner replied without impatience.

"Only fifteen Spirit Stones…" Fang Hong was secretly speechless; it seemed the Cultivation Technique he Cultivated was also a common, widespread one…

But he was still quite happy, after all, this was the complete Cultivation Technique he had always wanted.

"Alright, I'll take this Cultivation Technique." Fang Hong nodded, then pulled out fifteen Spirit Stones from the cloth bag at his waist and handed them to the Blue-robed stall owner.

The Blue-robed stall owner took the Spirit Stones, and the cold expression on his face finally changed somewhat, revealing a slight smile.

He then asked, "Do you want any Talismans? My Talismans are a bit cheaper than the Talisman shop's."

He looked at Fang Hong, hoping to make another sale.

Fang Hong, however, shook his head, began to examine the Cultivation Technique, and after carefully checking it and confirming there were no issues, he put it back in his cloth bag, then rode his horse away.

The Blue-robed stall owner said nothing either; once Fang Hong had gone far, he took out another copy of the Qi Condensation Skill from under the tuck of his arms and placed it on the table, continuing his business…
