After Roman and Ky checked out of the hotel following their successful deal, they immediately made their way to the airport. After checking in their bags, they settled in the lounge area, waiting for their flight to be called.
Roman could hardly contain his impatience; his mind was already focused on home. Carol had mentioned she had something important to tell him, and despite his insistence for her to share it now, she insisted it was a surprise for when he returned. The urgency of her words lingered in Roman's thoughts, and he found it difficult to concentrate.
Ky snapped him out of it. "It's time to go, Roman," he said, earning a moment's attention from Roman, who was lost in thought.
Taking a deep breath, Roman stood up, grabbed his luggage, and followed Ky onto the plane. "I'll sit by the window," he declared, moving ahead. Ky didn't protest; he simply stowed his things in the overhead compartment before joining Roman.
