While Agni's beastly army created chaos among the ranks of the undead, Agni himself was sitting under a tree and meditating to regain back his lost mana. It took him half an hour to recover back all his mana.
Agni opened his eyes and looked around him to check the status of his army VS the undead army.
Three out of the twenty-five wolves were dead and to Agni's horror, they have turned into undead and were now attacking their own kind. But before Agni could solve the situation, he saw an intense white light at the place where the training-yard of the soldiers were supposed to be. He launched three giant fireballs towards the three undead wolfs and killed them with a single ball each and when he was done killing them, he rushed past everything and arrived at what could be called as the wreckage of the former training-yard. There even before he could breathe, he was attacked by a rigling mass of rotting flesh and bones. He quickly stepped to the side and launched a fireball of his own. It was hard to take oxygen in because of the creature because the creature was releasing a fowl smell which was slowly poisoning Agni. But ignoring this, he launched himself towards the zombies and used one of his new skills, flaming wings.
He was instantaneously covered by wings made of flames which protected Agni from the stench of the zombie and increased his defense. He started launching fireballs upon fireballs towards the zombie and started to damage its health bar greatly.
As he was about to launch another fireball, there was a sound in the air, he heard a swishing sound in the air behind him and in the next instant an arrow was seen lodged in his body and if Agni had not covered himself in the shroud of flaming wings, he could have been damaged greatly by that attack.
Agni turned around to see a skeleton with wings over its body and holding a bow in his Skeletal hands was standing behind him.
It was the one who had launched the arrow just now. With a backflip, Agni gained a little bit of distance from the two enemies and turned slightly towards his left and instantly, with a sudden movement released a fireball from his left hand while his right hand was holding the Novis crimson staff in his other hand. But before the fireball was released, he used another skill, envelop.
White flames came out from his staff and covered it in an instant. Increased all its abilities and Agni's abilities by hundred% including the intermediate mana control skill Agni had, raising its level to advanced mana control.
Agni felt a trickling sensation inside his body and when he realized what it was, he found out that it was mana, the mana which was flowing inside his body, mixed with blood. One can only sense mana at this level when the person reaches the intermediate rank and as for Agni, he was just at the Novis rank so it should have been impossible for him to sense mana this much. A little was fine but sensing it flowing in his body was a great deal.
But ignoring the sensation for a while Agni focused on the fight happening. The drednot skeleton, holding a bow in his boney hands launched an arrow once again but this time, Agni didn't block it but used his flaming wings to glide in the air there by dodging the attack by a hair's breadth.
The skeleton, seemingly angered, launched a Wally of arrows but they all missed because of Agni being in the air, just above the arrows. Currently, Agni was 10-meters above the ground and the skeleton's arrows were missing Agni by 9.9-meters so Agni remained unharmed but the same could be said for the both enemies Agni was fighting. they also remained unharmed because Agni had no method of harming them, no spell which he could throw.
He was helpless because he was also running out of mana and soon, he will be depleted of it completely and when all of his mana will be finished, he wouldn't be able to block anything and will die instantly from the baraj of arrows and flaming fists which were raining below him.
He mentally made it a point to master a ranged weapon when he had a time and also learn staff related combat skills so he wouldn't have to be helpless. But for now, he decided to try something different.
He immediately started to focus and his white fire appeared on his hands but unlike before, the flames were not like normal. Their shape was different than before.
Small bullet sized projectiles were launched towards the flaming zombie and the drednot skeleton, damaging their health and a series of 30, 30, 40, and 45 appeared on their heads for a brief moment and then disappeared.
