Chapter 168 - Chapter 168: Main Character Energy

[Author's Note:]

Yo, everyone! ✌️

I know some of you might be wondering—"Wait, why is Sasuke acting a little different?" Well, don't worry, there's a solid reason for it. Actually... two.

First up—Naruto.Sasuke used to think he'd lost everything—his family, his bonds, his purpose. But when he learned the truth and started spending real time with Naruto again, things changed. You see, Naruto has that strange power—not just Rasengan or Shadow Clones—but the power to change hearts. Even the most stubborn Uchiha isn't immune to that kind of sunshine.

Second—the Uchiha Pride.Being an Uchiha means carrying yourself with a certain calm, cold coolness. They don't just speak—they drop quotes that hit harder than a Chidori. Think of Madara, Itachi—legends whose words stick. That same quiet intensity is part of Sasuke too.

So yeah, this isn't a random shift. This is growth, this is connection, and this is Uchiha fire meeting Uzumaki heart. 🔥❤️

Thanks so much for reading and supporting this story—it means the world.Stay awesome, believe in your nindo, and have an epic day!

Just Outside the Barrier

"What did you just say, brat?" Kurama growled, ears flicking back as he glared at Naruto.

Naruto didn't even turn around. "Must've been the wind," he said with a teasing grin, speeding up his pace.

"Oi—wait for me!" Kurama grumbled, bounding after him with all the indignation of a betrayed fox god.

Together, they arrived at the base of the massive glowing structure—the infamous Shishienjin, the Four Violet Flames Formation.

It towered above them in the shape of a massive cube, each corner manned by an elite shinobi pouring chakra into the formation. The flames shimmered with a violent violet hue, flickering and crackling like a living inferno. The heat it emitted warped the air around it, and even seasoned jonin wouldn't dare touch it unless they were feeling particularly suicidal.

"Roasty," Kurama muttered, eyeing the flames with mild curiosity. "One touch and you'd be turned into barbecue."

"Yup," Naruto said cheerfully. "Not even chakra suppression would let you sneak through. Barrier's airtight. Seals prevent both entrance and exit."

"Then how exactly do you plan to waltz in?" Kurama asked, squinting at him suspiciously.

Naruto raised his left hand, his Mangekyō Sharingan shimmering to life.

"I don't plan to sneak in," he said with a smirk. "I'm rewriting the rules."

With a gentle twist of his eye, he activated Kōun—his left Mangekyō ability. The air shimmered like shattered glass, and reality itself warped for a moment as he sealed away the very law of the barrier that prevented their entry. A silent negation of restriction.

The barrier didn't flicker. It didn't weaken. It simply… allowed him.

The purple flames bent subtly around him and Kurama as they stepped inside like honored guests at a banquet.

"Showoff," Kurama grunted from his perch on Naruto's shoulder.

"Hey, you wanted to see if your old rivals got summoned, right?" Naruto teased. "Let's go find out if the grandpas are partying."

Inside the barrier, all six shinobi snapped their heads toward the new intruder.

Then came the voice.

"MAY I COM'IN?!" echoed Naruto cheerfully as he stepped into view, one foot casually forward, a cocky grin playing across his lips.

Every head turned.

A Few Minutes Earlier…

The tension inside the Shishienjin barrier was suffocating.

Orochimaru had already completed the summoning. Three coffins had cracked open—revealing the once-legendary titans of Konoha: Hashirama Senju, Tobirama Senju, and Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage. Their bodies were reanimated by the vile Edo Tensei, but their minds... still their own.

Standing beside Orochimaru, seemingly as an ally, was Rasa, the Fourth Kazekage. He had protected Orochimaru long enough for the summoning to finish, and the twisted alliance between Suna and Sound was now in full view.

Hiruzen Sarutobi, the aging Third Hokage, gripped his staff tightly. His eyes narrowed. Five opponents: Orochimaru, Rasa, and the three resurrected Hokage. The stakes weren't just high—they were apocalyptic.

He knew one thing:If he fell here, he had to take his enemies with him.

Back to the Present

The moment was shattered with the loud, irreverent voice of a redheaded teen stepping through the violet flames like it was his living room.

Naruto Uzumaki.

Kurama—looking grumpy in miniature form—sat lazily on his shoulder.

Hiruzen's jaw dropped.Minato blinked like he'd just seen a ghost.Hashirama tilted his head, murmuring, "He looks familiar…"Tobirama just stared, utterly baffled.Orochimaru hissed in disbelief.Even Rasa looked like he'd seen a ghost's ghost.

Kurama blinked. "...Yep. That's definitely them."

Naruto lifted a hand casually and said with that trademark grin:

"Sup, Dad. First. Second. Kazekage. Old Man."

Minato blinked harder. "...Naruto?"

Hiruzen's pipe nearly fell from his mouth. "Naruto?! How—what are you—?!"

Orochimaru narrowed his eyes, bile rising in his throat. "How did you get in here?!"

Naruto shrugged like it was the most casual thing in the world."I dunno. Maybe your overhyped barrier is allergic to main character energy."

Kurama buried his face in his paws. "Please stop talking."

Naruto smirked. "So… are you guys having a party? May I join in? I even brought snacks—" he gestured at Kurama, "—in pocket-size."

Hashirama squinted at Minato, who stood awkwardly beside him. "Wait, who are you again?"

Minato straightened his cloak and turned slightly to show the kanji for "Fourth" on the back."I'm the Fourth Hokage."

"Ohhh," Hashirama nodded. "Konoha has a Fourth now. That's nice! But why are you dead?"

Minato offered a polite, awkward chuckle. "Uh… Long story."

Before the conversation could derail completely, Naruto cut in, pointing at the mini fox on his shoulder.

"First, before you get too comfy—this little guy's got a bone to pick with you."

Hashirama leaned forward, squinting. "Wait, is that… Kyuubi? You look like a plushie!"

He turned to his brother."Tobirama, doesn't he look like a pet fox? Kinda cute!"

Kurama flared with offense. "Pet?! I'll incinerate you, you damn tree-hugging senju—!"

Naruto slapped a hand over Kurama's mouth. "Down, boy. No chakra tantrums in front of ancient royalty."

Hashirama, instead of being offended, laughed heartily. "Ah! He even talks like the old Kyuubi. Glad to see he hasn't changed much."

Tobirama stepped forward, more focused. "How did you bypass the barrier? The Shishienjin should be impenetrable without killing all four casters simultaneously."

Naruto gave a sly smile, eyes locked on Tobirama."You live up to your reputation, Second. Just by glancing at the barrier, you deduced it was the Shishienjin."

He slowly closed one eye, then opened it again—revealing the spinning pattern of his Mangekyō Sharingan.

Gasps. Minato and Hiruzen flinched. Even Hashirama's brows furrowed.

"Mangekyō...?" Minato breathed."Since when?!" Hiruzen choked.

Tobirama's analytical gaze narrowed. He began circling slightly, inspecting Naruto like a puzzle piece that didn't fit.

"You claim this power, but... you're not Uchiha. You have red hair."He paused."Uzumaki."

Naruto tilted his head with a small grin."Ding ding. Not an Uchiha. Just did a little experimenting… and these popped out. And before you ask—no one else knew. You're all the first to see them."

From across, Orochimaru's eyes glinted with mania. He stepped forward, unable to hide the curiosity dripping from his voice."So this was your secret, Naruto-kun… fascinating."

Hiruzen barked, "Naruto, don't let him near you! He's after that power!"

But Naruto didn't even look at him. He stared straight at Orochimaru, voice dipped in cold steel.

"Relax, old man. Your turn to talk isn't here yet. Until then...Shut. Up."

The words hit like a slap. Everyone froze—Hiruzen's eyes wide in disbelief. Minato's mouth opened slightly. Even Hashirama and Tobirama blinked.

Only Orochimaru remained unbothered, amused even.

He walked a little closer, licking his lips like a vulture circling something exotic."I spent years trying to obtain the Sharingan—only to be met with resistance and failure. But you, you say you just acquired it through experimentation?"

Naruto scoffed."And yet, even with all your stolen bodies and forbidden knowledge... You wouldn't last a day holding this power."

Orochimaru's smile twitched.

Suddenly, chakra flared in the air like ozone before a storm.

Tobirama narrowed his eyes and unleashed a wave of killing intent, his chakra pressing down on Naruto like a vice."Even without being born an Uchiha, you talk like one. I knew it—This clan should've never been left to thrive."

But Naruto's grin didn't even twitch.

"Trying to flex old-school chakra suppression on me, Second?"His Mangekyō rotated slowly as a massive pressure—far more intense—erupted from Naruto.

It washed over the arena like a tidal wave.

Tobirama staggered backward, the weight of Naruto's chakra pinning him like gravity had doubled.

Even Hashirama raised a brow, sensing the clash.Minato stared, silent pride flickering behind his concern.

Naruto's smile turned cold."Let me be clear. I'm not Uchiha. I'm not Uzumaki. I'm not a Jinchūriki or some miracle baby .I'm just Naruto. And that… is more than enough."

Kurama yawned from his perch on Naruto's shoulder.

"Oof. I felt that in my whiskers."

Orochimaru chuckled softly."He's even more interesting than I expected."

Tobirama steadied himself, brushing dust from his sleeve.

"Careful, boy," he said, voice sharp but grudgingly impressed."Power like that... draws shadows."

Naruto's eyes locked onto him.

"Let them come."

Rasa while in back was observing all.

'This isn't how it should be going. Why? Who is he? How can mere genin have such power?".

Naruto turned towards Rasa.

Rasa met Naruto eye, just looking at them he felt pressure.

Naruto closed his Mangekyo.

"Don't worry. Kazekage. You're not today's target. If I did anything to you. Temari will get upset".

Rasa lips twitched when he heard Temari name from Naruto. But, he also felt safe, that he is not the target.

"Let's leave this Intro Behind. Shall we dive into main dish", Naruto said while looking at others.

Rasa, standing at the back, watched with narrowed eyes.

'This… This isn't how it was supposed to go.'His brow furrowed, sweat forming at his temples.'Who is he? A genin with Mangekyō? And that presence... That pressure... this isn't a child. This is a monster wearing a child's name.'

Then Naruto's gaze shifted.

Directly at him.

Their eyes locked.

Rasa stiffened. It felt like a mountain had shifted just to look at him. He swallowed hard—his instincts screaming to be cautious.

Then Naruto did something subtle, but terrifying—He closed his Mangekyō Sharingan, as if to say he didn't even need it.

His voice came calm, yet heavy like a hammer:

"Don't worry, Kazekage... you're not today's target."

Rasa blinked, unsure how to respond. Then—

"If I did anything to you," Naruto added, "Temari might get upset."

Rasa's lips twitched. There it was. A subtle jab and a loaded truth. He knows.Rasa didn't reply—but he exhaled in quiet relief. That relief didn't feel like mercy. It felt like a reprieve.

Naruto turned back toward the center of the barrier, sweeping his gaze across the tense faces around him.

Hashirama, curious.Tobirama, on edge.Minato, silently proud, silently nervous.Hiruzen, still processing the shift in his student's son.Orochimaru, hungry for chaos.Kurama, still lounging on Naruto's shoulder like this was a picnic.

Then Naruto clapped his hands once."Enough introductions."His smile returned—wry, sharp, electric."Let's move to the main dish."

Kurama flicked his tail."Hope they're hungry..."
