Chapter 125 - Chapter 125: Fight with Hyoton Users

Naruto's eyes narrowed as he scanned the snowy horizon.

"Oi! I can sense you three. No use hiding—come out already!" he shouted, his voice echoing across the ice.

But silence answered.

Then—RUMBLE.

A blinding avalanche tore down the mountain slope like a beast unchained.

"You've got to be kidding me—who causes an avalanche just to avoid a fight?" Naruto scoffed.

The crew scrambled.

"Move! Ship out of the way before we get flattened!" Kakashi commanded.

Karin and Kakashi leapt from the deck as the ship pivoted away from impact, narrowly dodging the wave of snow.

But something was wrong. Very wrong.

Riding atop the avalanche, like ghostly warlords on a frozen stampede, were three shinobi clad in strange, jagged armor, chakra pulsing visibly around them.

Two men. One woman. All of them Jonin. And all of them clearly not here for the sequel's bloopers reel.

Suddenly—thump!

Makino and his loyal, tragically unpaid cameraman leapt from the ship as well, landing nearby.

Karin blinked at them. "Did you just jump towards the death zone?"

Makino simply pointed at the camera with a grin.

Karin groaned. "Fine. I'll babysit the Oscar hopefuls."She turned to Naruto. "Go wild."

The trio of Konoha shinobi stood side by side—Naruto, all fire and storm. Sasuke, a blade of ice himself. Kakashi, unreadable beneath that eternally smug eye.

Facing them: the armored assassins.

"Dibs on the woman!" Naruto said, already charging up the avalanche with chakra-enhanced steps like he was sprinting on solid ground.

The female Jonin stepped forward, her eyes sharp like icicles, blades drawn.

She smiled.

"Let's see if the brat's ready to die for his movie debut."

Sasuke took on one man who had large body, mostly looked like a tank.

Kakashi took the leader.

"Oh, it's mighty Copy Ninja Kakashi. I was waiting for this to defeat again", The leader said.

"Who are you again?" Kakashi asked.

Silence.

A vein popped on the man's temple. "You—what?! It's me, Nodare Roga! Did you already forget that you ran away ten years ago?!"

Kakashi blinked slowly, then let out a short sigh."Oh... Nadare Roga. Right. The guy who monologued while I slipped away with the daimyo's daughter."

Nadare's fists clenched as ice chakra coiled around his limbs."You coward! That was a tactical retreat!"

"Same thing," Kakashi said with a lazy eye-smile. "But sure, let's run it back."

Off to the side, Makino grabbed his cameraman's collar."This fight—this one. You better be rolling."

Meanwhile, Naruto was already airborne, rocketing through the chilled wind, kunai forward and a grin stretched across his face.

"Hope you're ready!" he shouted, as he spun mid-air.

The female Jonin, cloaked in snow-patterned armor, deflected his kunai with her vambrace and twisted expertly. Naruto landed with a slide across the icy ground, kicking up a powdery trail behind him.

He whistled, impressed."Dang. You've got tough armor."He vanished and reappeared beside her in a blur, casually lifting her chin with a finger."What's your name, lady? I gotta know who just stole my heart mid-battle."

The Jonin blinked, startled. Her body stiffened—not because of the gesture, but because she didn't sense him coming. She backstepped immediately, flustered but masking it behind a glare.

"I'm Fubuki, Fubiki Kakuyoku. And flattery won't save you."

Naruto chuckled, spinning a kunai on his finger."Save me? I was hoping you'd ask me out after I win."

"Let's start then. Here I come!"Naruto called out, voice ringing through the frosty air as he vanished in a blur of motion.

The Jonin—Fubuki—immediately recognized the danger in his approach. Her fingers blurred through hand seals.

"Hyōton: Suishō Sōshoheki!"(Crystal Ice Shield Formation!)

A shimmering ice barrier erupted around her—sharp, geometric patterns of glacial energy forming a dome-like shield with jagged beauty. It reflected the sun in a kaleidoscope of frost and danger.

Naruto skidded to a halt just before crashing into it, his grin widening.

"A barrier, huh? Let's see how hard I gotta hit before this thing cracks."He wound back his arm like a batter gearing up for a home run—and punched the icy wall with his bare hand.

CLANG! The ice held.A thin layer of frost spread across his knuckles, biting into his skin.

"Whoa…" Naruto muttered, blowing hot breath on his chilled hand. "So this baby doesn't just block—you built in a freezing counter, too? Okay, Ice Queen, I see you."

Fubuki, safely behind the barrier, narrowed her eyes."You should've brought gloves," she said coolly.

Naruto chuckled, bouncing on his heels."Nah. I like to feel the fight. Let's go again."

He crouched—and slammed his fist into the same spot with more force.

CRACK.

Spiderweb fractures raced across the shield's surface, glowing faint blue as chakra resisted the damage.

"Ohhhh~ That's more like it," Naruto grinned, shaking the cold from his arm."You better reinforce it, or next hit's gonna knock your pretty face into the snow."

From the other side, Fubuki clenched her teeth, then leapt backward, hands flying into another seal set.

But Naruto was already dashing sideways, circling the shield like a wolf testing the edge of a cage.

"You tryin' to trap me or play tag, Ice Princess?" he called out mid-run.Then—boom!—he struck again, this time with his leg, a spinning kick that shattered a chunk of the barrier into frozen shards.

Off to the side, Makino whispered, stunned, "Is this still reality? Are they fighting or is this my script coming to life?"

His cameraman, eyes glued to the viewfinder:"Sir, I'm filming like my mortgage depends on it."

As soon as the barrier shattered, Fubuki spread her ice wings—elegant, crystalline constructs of chakra—and soared into the sky.

Naruto didn't hesitate."Oh no you don't. I can fly too… with determination!"He leapt after her, chasing her silhouette across the glacier.

Meanwhile...

Sasuke faced a hulking man who looked less like a shinobi and more like a walking fortress.

His name was Mizore Fuyukuma.

Sasuke slashed with his katana—clean, precise—but the blade bounced off Mizore's thick, ice-infused armor.

"Tch," Sasuke clicked his tongue and backflipped away."Let's heat this up."

"Katon: Ryūka no Jutsu!"A stream of searing flame roared toward Mizore.

But Mizore raised an ice barrier, shielding himself from the inferno. The moment the flames dissipated, Sasuke saw his chance.

Without warning, Sasuke blitzed forward, chakra surging through his limbs. His fist slammed through the weakened ice barrier and crashed into Mizore's chest.

The impact was like a cannon blast.Mizore was launched, his body crashing into the nearby iceberg with a sickening boom before slumping unconscious.

From the sky, Fubuki's eyes widened.

"Mizore!" she cried, abandoning her fight with Naruto and diving down toward her fallen comrade.

Sasuke lowered his fist and exhaled sharply."Should've brought thicker armor."

Naruto landed nearby, watching the scene."Sasuke doesn't pull punches, huh?"

From a distance, Karin nodded, arms crossed. "Not when he's fired up."

"Fire vs Ice… but one Ice is out."Makino muttered, poking his stunned cameraman. "Keep filming. This is better than my last five movies."

Naruto turned to chase after Fubuki. She knelt beside Mizore, relief washing over her as she checked his pulse.

"Still alive…" she breathed. His armor was shattered, ribs cracked—but he'd live.

Naruto stood a few feet away, arms folded."That armor's no joke. Took a full punch from Sasuke and still kept your guy breathing."

She didn't answer—just scooped up Mizore and leapt backward, retreating with a warning glare.

Meanwhile, the real boss battle…

Kakashi and Nadare Roga stood atop opposing chunks of ice, chakra crackling around them.

"One of yours is down," Kakashi said coolly."What now, Nadare?"

Nadare smirked—and his hands blurred through seals."Now I stop holding back."

Hyōton: Ryū Hyōjin!(Ice Release: Dragon Glacier Array!)

A massive dragon of pure ice erupted behind Nadare, snarling with chilling fury.

Kakashi, unfazed, copied the seals in perfect sync."Guess I'll show you my version."

Hyōton: Ryū Hyōjin!

Two gigantic ice dragons roared and collided mid-air, the shockwave blasting outwards like a winter hurricane.

The iceberg shook violently. Cracks spidered across its surface.

Kakashi's eyes widened behind his mask."This whole place is about to go under."

He shouted into his comms, "Naruto! Sasuke! Karin! We're leaving—this glacier's done!"

The Escape

Karin, already near the ship, used chakra chains to yank Makino and the cameraman back on board."You two are lucky I'm in a good mood," she muttered.

Sasuke sprinted across the ice like a shadow.

Naruto caught up mid-leap and waved as he passed. "Race ya to the ship!"

"Shut up," Sasuke replied—but sped up.

Kakashi followed last, flipping onto the deck just as the iceberg behind them began to collapse, thundering into the sea.

A giant wave surged, but the ship had already pulled away—sailing to safety under the crimson-tinged sky.

Makino dropped to his knees on the deck.

".... This was really good stuff"

His cameraman just wept softly. "I think I peed a little."

The whole crew burst into laughter at the cameraman's expense.

Even Sasuke—stoic, brooding, emotionally unavailable Sasuke—cracked the tiniest smirk.

As the laughter mellowed into soft chuckles and deep sighs of relief, the ship sailed on.

The shattered iceberg now a distant memory, floating ruins in the vast blue. The horizon stretched wide and quiet, painted gold by the setting sun.
