The fervor of the martial competition gradually dissipated as the event came to a close. After witnessing an impressive series of battles and outcomes, the numerous experts who had gathered began to depart, satisfied with what they had seen.

Naturally, when they left, they carried with them the shocking tale of a young man named Mo Yu.

This youth, who had defeated the Blood Fang Clan's prodigy Xue Ci, had unknowingly begun to spread his name throughout the Southern Sea.

However, Mo Yu himself had little interest in such fame. Were it not for his determination to resurrect She Lao, he wouldn't have even come to the Southern Sea.

Thus, when Shui Muqing informed him of his rising reputation, Mo Yu simply brushed it off. What concerned him far more was Ten Thousand Snake Island.

Fortunately, no unexpected events occurred. The day after the martial competition ended, Mo Yu, under Shui Cang's guidance, arrived at the inner region of Ten Thousand Snake Island.

As he stepped into the inner region, Mo Yu paused and gazed at the ancient, sprawling island before him. The aura of antiquity and vastness enveloped the place, and even the purple-gold scales hidden within his sleeves emitted a faint warmth. A thoughtful look flickered in his silver eyes.

"Ten Thousand Snake Island is vast, nearly as large as a small empire. Mo Yu, should you venture inside, take heed not to enter the forbidden grounds at the island's center,"

Shui Cang warned as he stood beside Mo Yu, his gaze fixed on the island. "It's said that ancient death zones exist there. In the past, even experts from powerful factions entered out of curiosity, but most never returned."

Due to restrictions limiting entry to one person per faction, Qing Zhi had been left behind to guard the Shui Clan's camp. As for the island itself, Mo Yu would explore it alone.

Hearing Shui Cang's words, Mo Yu nodded lightly. Although he mentally marked the forbidden grounds with a red warning, he knew that if the resurrection of She Lao was at stake, he might have no choice but to venture there.

As the two conversed, groups from various factions began arriving one after another. Before long, the ten individuals who had earned a spot on the island gathered.

Mo Yu glanced at the other nine individuals.

Among them, the ones who drew his attention were naturally from the Three Magic Beast Clans, the Xuan Clan, and the Scaled Armor Clan.

From the Two-Headed Flood Dragon Clan, their representative was unsurprisingly the Crown Prince Jiao.

Meanwhile, the Wild Shark Clan and the Blood Tyrant Crocodile Clan were represented by two men with terrifyingly potent auras, both radiating a savage and domineering presence.

Seeing this, Mo Yu's silver eyes narrowed slightly. As expected of the Three Magic Beast Clans—such deep foundations.

What surprised Mo Yu next was the Xuan Clan's representative—a stunningly beautiful woman with delicate features and clad in a black and gold dress.

Despite being a woman, her aura seemed no less threatening than Crown Prince Jiao's.

As for the Scaled Armor Clan, their representative was a handsome young man clad in battle armor similar to that of Lin Zhan Zun Zhe, indicating that he was also part of the royal guard of the Scaled Armor Clan.

While Mo Yu studied the group, Crown Prince Jiao seemed to sense his gaze. Turning towards Mo Yu, his eyes flashed with cold, ruthless malice.

In response, Mo Yu simply smiled coldly.

If that guy dared provoke him, Mo Yu wouldn't mind severing both of his heads.

"Alright, if everyone is ready, you may now enter Ten Thousand Snake Island," announced Xuan Guang Zun Zhe as he rose into the air and addressed the ten gathered below.

The group nodded, their eyes filled with anticipation and fervor.

Ten Thousand Snake Island was a divine blessing upon the Southern Sea. Who knew how many treasures and inheritances were hidden within?

If they could secure these opportunities, not only would they have a chance to reach the Dou Zun realm, but they might even rise to become true powerhouses of the continent!

Seeing their readiness, Xuan Guang Zun Zhe wasted no time. With a wave of his hand, a golden token flew out, emitting beams of golden light that enveloped the formation covering the island's inner region.

Hum hum!

As the golden light illuminated the formation, a golden array began to shimmer above the island's inner region, forming a barrier that seemed to enclose the entire island within.

Mo Yu watched the barrier intently. This array wasn't naturally part of Ten Thousand Snake Island. It was likely created by the sixteen top factions of the Southern Sea, a symbolic declaration that the island belonged to the alliance of humans, sea clans, and magical beasts.

Once the golden array enveloped the island, a golden gate materialized in the center.

"You may proceed," Xuan Guang Zun Zhe said, gesturing towards the gate.

Without hesitation, Mo Yu and the others stepped forward, leaping into the glowing gateway.

Boom!

As they entered, the gate slowly closed behind them, sealing the ancient mysteries of the island away from the outside world.

Upon stepping through the gate, Mo Yu's vision was plunged into darkness. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in a completely unfamiliar environment.

Before him stretched an immense forest, its vast expanse giving the impression that ancient, primordial beasts lurked within, stirring a sense of dread in his heart.

"So, this is the inner region of Ten Thousand Snake Island..." Mo Yu murmured, his brows furrowing slightly in surprise.

Looking around, he realized that none of the other entrants had appeared in the same location. It seemed that passing through the golden gate had separated them, placing each in a different area.

Mo Yu nodded in understanding. If possible, he preferred to avoid conflicts with Crown Prince Jiao and the others for now.

For him, the priority was to locate the Nine-Winged Purple-Gold Serpent's inheritance and use it to resurrect She Lao.

As Mo Yu ventured into the forest, his pace instinctively slowed. His instincts warned him that this was no ordinary place. A single misstep could cost him his life.

The vast ancient forest exuded an intoxicating fragrance. A light mist blanketed the area, and small beasts occasionally darted out from the underbrush, creating a serene atmosphere that seemed almost otherworldly.

"This ancient forest within Ten Thousand Snake Island has undergone countless years of evolution, forming its own ecosystem. It likely contains numerous powerful magical beasts. I must tread carefully," Mo Yu muttered as he landed atop a towering tree, scanning his surroundings warily.

The forest was teeming with strong auras. Mo Yu sensed several massive, ferocious beasts nearby but managed to avoid them, thanks to the subtle presence of the divine aura emanating from his Divine Might Black Thunder Spear. This weapon's latent dragon might seemed to deter the magical beasts from approaching.

"Hmm?"

While making his way through the forest, Mo Yu's gaze suddenly froze. A flash of delight appeared on his face as he locked his eyes on something ahead.

Mo Yu found himself standing before a lake, roughly ten zhang in size. The water was astonishingly clear, yet its depths were unfathomable at a glance.

At the center of the lake was a small floating landmass, resembling an isolated island. On this "island" grew a peculiar tree, its appearance as strange as it was captivating.

The tree was black and white in color, its branches interwoven like vines, curving into an odd shape. Observed from a distance, the tree's outline resembled a leaping carp breaking through waves, with its open mouth faintly radiating golden light.

"Fish Spirit Ancient Tree!"

Mo Yu froze for a moment upon recognizing the unique plant, then spoke with delight.

The Fish Spirit Ancient Tree, an ancient treasure of legend, bore the Fish Spirit Fruit, a fruit of immense energy. A Dou Zong who consumed it would undoubtedly break through a rank.

Thinking of this, Mo Yu's eyes burned with excitement.

"However, any spiritual treasure in the world is bound to have a guardian beast. The Fish Spirit Fruit, with its miraculous properties, is no exception. There must be a guardian nearby," he mused, his gaze settling on the tranquil lake.

With a sweep of his spear, Mo Yu unleashed a terrifying gust of energy at the lake, creating a massive cavity on its surface.

"Boom!"

The calm lake erupted in a ferocious wave.

From beneath the water, a colossal shadow rapidly emerged. With a resounding splash, the lake's guardian burst forth—a massive serpent with eyes glowing with murderous intent.

"A Green-Scaled Demon Python! This creature has long been thought extinct in the outside world," Mo Yu exclaimed in astonishment.

The massive beast had the elongated body of a snake, its scales shimmering a deep green. Its lengthy frame exuded a chilling, sinister aura.

Mo Yu recalled reading about the Green-Scaled Demon Python in ancient texts on the Dou Qi Continent.

In ancient times, this magical beast was renowned for its strength. Legends claimed traces of dragon blood coursed through its veins.

"Unexpected to see one here," Mo Yu murmured, his brows furrowing slightly.

The python's power was roughly at the seventh tier, but with its bloodline and physical strength, it could rival even peak Dou Zong practitioners.

Realizing this, Mo Yu acted without hesitation. His right hand brushed against his Beast Ring, summoning a blue figure that swiftly materialized.

"Keep this serpent busy!"

The figure was none other than Mo Yu's necro puppet. Despite the decline in its strength following its transformation into a puppet, the creature wielded a seventh-grade treasured sword, capable of holding its ground against the Green-Scaled Demon Python.

With Mo Yu's command, the puppet expressionlessly charged forward, its blue sword thrusting toward the python. The python sensed a dire threat from the puppet's seventh-grade weapon.

"Despicable human! You won't succeed!"

The python's massive tail lashed out violently at the puppet's sword. Their clash sent shockwaves across the lake, creating a cascade of enormous waves.

"Hey, big guy! Fight all you want, but don't damage my Fish Spirit Fruit!"

As the puppet and the python engaged in a fierce battle, Mo Yu frowned slightly. Activating his Flash Void Breaking Thunder, he vanished and reappeared above the island in the lake's center.

Standing beside the Fish Spirit Ancient Tree, Mo Yu spotted a golden fruit the size of a fist nestled within the intertwining branches.

The fruit resembled a fish, its likeness almost lifelike. A faint but alluring fragrance wafted from it, sending shivers through Mo Yu.

"Don't you dare touch my treasure, human!"

The python's furious roar echoed as its tail swung toward Mo Yu.

Unfazed, the tireless necro puppet struck again, its sword slashing into the python's tail.

"Boom!"

The intense collision rang in Mo Yu's ears. Determined to protect the tree, he stepped forward, shielding it from the devastating shockwaves.

With the immediate threat deflected, Mo Yu quickly cut off a thick branch from the tree. He crafted a crude wooden box using the branch—Fish Spirit Fruit could only be preserved in the tree's wood; otherwise, its essence would dissipate.

Once the box was complete, Mo Yu carefully severed the branch holding the golden fruit and placed it inside. He stored the box within his Beast Ring and let out a small smile.

"Securing this Fish Spirit Fruit is a pleasant surprise. It seems the legends of Ten Thousand Snake Island hold true."

With the fruit safely stored, Mo Yu turned his focus back. His next goal was the Nine-Winged Purple-Gold Serpent's legacy—to resurrect She Lao!

As the fruit disappeared into Mo Yu's Beast Ring, the Green-Scaled Demon Python's fury erupted. Its crimson eyes burned with relentless rage as it glared at Mo Yu.

"Human! Return the Fish Spirit Fruit, or I'll make sure you never leave this forest alive!" the python bellowed.

"Let's see if you're capable of that," Mo Yu replied coldly, his voice dripping with disdain.

"I'll help you deal with him, python, in exchange for half of the Fish Spirit Fruit," a hoarse and sinister voice suddenly echoed.

A figure brimming with savage energy emerged from the forest—a man radiating a formidable aura.

Mo Yu's gaze sharpened as he frowned. "The Wild Shark Clan? Are you planning to meddle as well?"
