Chapter 260 - MP 260: Tiamat's Eleven Children

Swish!!

A fleeting white shadow darted through the city of Uruk like a bolt of lightning.

Its speed was so swift that the naked eye could barely keep up. In just a few breaths, countless Lahmu heads were severed by a streak of white light before they could even react.

One, two, three…

Forty, five hundred, a thousand…

Lives were snuffed out rapidly. The heads of the Lahmu fell like harvested wheat, chased down by Roy from behind and effortlessly plucked off, accompanied by their shrill, agonized screams.

"Aaaahhhh!!!"

A mass of black dust scattered with the wind throughout Uruk's city.

Roy paid no heed to the Lahmu's wails and screams, nor did he care about the black dust slipping from his fingertips.

These soulless chunks of flesh, driven purely by instinct, disgusted him just by their presence. There was no need to linger on them; annihilating them all here as quickly as possible was the only correct choice.

Swish swish!!

Without pausing, the white shadow surged forward again, chasing after the Lahmu attempting to bypass him.

In an instant, the scene unfolded into a banquet of slaughter.

With Roy's rapid reaping, the number of Lahmu in the city decreased at a visible rate. The black dust of the fallen Lahmu carpeted large swathes of Uruk's streets.

This astonishing sight made Tezcatlipoca, who was halfheartedly fighting nearby while slacking off, click his tongue in amazement.

"This Master is unexpectedly serious and stubborn… Is it really worth going all out like this? They're just insignificant small fry."

While musing, Tezcatlipoca raised his peculiar pistol at the approaching Lahmu and fired another shot, missing.

"…Need more practice."

He couldn't help but sigh.

"You idiot! Stop messing around with that broken pistol and fight seriously!!"

On the other side, Quetzalcoatl stood atop a pile of black dust, crushing the heads of several Lahmu with her hands while shouting at the slacking Tezcatlipoca.

"Relax, my attitude is actually quite serious. It's just that these… little monsters don't spark any interest in me."

Still showing no trace of tension, Tezcatlipoca casually raised the axe blade of his pistol and struck swiftly, cleaving through several Lahmu blocking his path with a single blow.

"See? I told you, these small fry don't even require-"

Before he could finish, Tezcatlipoca suddenly sensed something. His gaze froze, and he sharply turned to look in Roy's direction, shouting, "Everyone, be careful! Something unusual is coming!!"

Quetzalcoatl was momentarily stunned. "What did you say?"

At the same time, an urgent communication from Dr. Roman reached Roy, his tone anxious as he warned, "Please be careful, Mr. Roy! A special Saint Graph reaction has suddenly appeared behind you!!"

"I understand, Dr. Roman. Thank you…!!"

Roy responded calmly to Dr. Roman's message, preparing to turn and investigate.

But in the next moment, his tone shifted abruptly. Alarm bells rang wildly in his mind as a sharp sense of danger surged in his heart.

Something was coming for him!!

"Aa… aa… aa!!!" (Careful, a special child is coming!!)

Even Tiamat Lily, clinging to his neck, issued a warning.

Without a moment's hesitation, Roy raised his palm, channeling his will. His magical energy erupted, a white aura laced with powerful magic flaring around his body. With a forceful punch, he struck toward the source of the approaching danger.

Boom!!

In the next instant, his fist, imbued with boundless magical energy, clashed with a jet-black curved blade, unleashing an astonishing burst of power.

Both parties recoiled from the impact, using the force to pull back and create distance.

"Hm?"

The result of this punch surprised Roy.

His full-powered strike had been firmly blocked by a Lahmu's scythe-like tentacle, and it hadn't been shattered outright.

And that abnormal Saint Graph reaction was…

"A divine-level enemy?"

From that brief clash, Roy had confirmed the opponent's identity. This was a divine-level monster, one of the special Lahmu representing Tiamat's eleven children.

Though not on the level of main gods like Ishtar or Ereshkigal, it had indeed reached divine status. In that light, it wasn't so surprising that it had withstood his full-powered punch.

After all, even without divine authority or symbolic concepts, a divine being wouldn't be felled by a mere fist.

"Fear us!! Then die!! You old humans, abandoned by Mother!!"

Having its sneak attack thwarted by Roy, this bizarre Lahmu let out a furious roar through some hidden vocal organ. Its rage intensified upon seeing Tiamat Lily clinging to Roy's neck with her arms, its murderous intent and madness growing even more tangible.

"Usurper! Thief! Give Mother back to us!!"

As if witnessing a beloved treasure stolen and defiled before its eyes, this Lahmu, one of Tiamat's eleven children, let out a frenzied scream.

It couldn't tolerate Mother of Genesis being split, nor could it bear that a mere old human could stand so close to her, tainted by her presence and receiving her love.

You inferior creatures, you traitors who betrayed Mother, are only fit to be tools for our wrath. Only we, the new humans, deserve Mother's love. This time, we won't repeat past mistakes. We will destroy these vile old humans and completely take their place.

Roaring, the frenzied Lahmu lunged at Roy.

"If you think you can, then come try."

Without hesitation, Roy, hovering in midair with his magical energy, surged his power again, accelerating to dodge the Lahmu's renewed assault.

He raised his palm, transforming it into a finger gun, locking onto the figure ahead. Endless magical energy began to rapidly expand before him.

"Mana Reversal · Half Power!!"

Boom!!

A crimson beam of light erupted, exploding right in front of the two at close range.

"Aaahhh!!!"

In an instant, the roaring Lahmu was struck by the beam, letting out a piercing scream before being blasted far away, its body embedding deep into the earth.

But that wasn't the end. The Lahmu, hit directly by the mana cannon, showed no irreversible damage. Instead, relying on its near-divine body, it struggled and climbed back up from the ground in the next moment.

It shook its body, twisting its nonexistent neck to let out a strange cry.

"@@@ $%#!!!"

Then, it opened the cannon-like biological structures on its back, firing numerous jet-black biomaterial spears at Roy in the sky.

Each one carried enough power to harm a divine being.

The Lahmu representing Tiamat's eleven children lacked divine authority and conceptual power, but their strength lay in their formidable physical bodies and bizarre, adaptable biological abilities.

In close combat, these monsters could tear apart targets with sharp spikes and arm blades at incredible speeds. At a distance, they could modify their bodies, developing specialized organs to launch attacks suited to the situation.

These biomaterial spears were one such manifestation.

Though the move was straightforward, these Lahmu, representing the eleven children, were elite soldiers in both strength and speed. Impervious to conventional weapons, they could unleash terrifying power on any battlefield. Even a first-rate Servant would struggle bitterly against any one of them.

So… they plan to wear me down?

Don't be so naive!!

Seeing the Lahmu below deploy its biological cannons, Roy quickly discerned its intent. His steps shifted abruptly, and his agile figure darted forward again.

Swish!!

Raising his palm, endless magical energy swept out with raging black flames, effortlessly blocking the incoming barrage of terrifying attacks.

His ice-blue Mystic Eyes glinted coldly in midair, his gaze locked on the Lahmu below. While intercepting the biomaterial spears, his figure surged forward at breakneck speed.

Meanwhile, some of the black spears fired at him were snapped in half under the sweep of Tiamat Lily's laser, shot from her opened mouth.

Roy didn't need to handle everything himself. The sorrowful Mother of Genesis had made her choice at this moment.

She would protect these children being harmed by her.

"Well done, Tiamat Lily."

Seeing Tiamat Lily, clinging to his neck, lend her aid, Roy smiled slightly, his advancing steps not slowing in the least.

"Mere old humans, don't think you'll succeed!!!"

Seeing Roy's figure speeding toward it, the Lahmu let out a piercing screech.

At that moment, Tiamat Lily slightly opened her mouth, singing a melodious and lingering Song of Creation over Uruk's city.

"Aaaa… aaaa… aaaaa…"

In that instant, the Lahmu below, about to counterattack, froze as if rusted machinery upon hearing the melodious Song of Creation. Its movements halted abruptly.

It cried out in disbelief, "Moth… Mother…"

That moment of hesitation sealed its fate.

Stepping through white aura and interwoven black light, Roy closed in rapidly, reaching the Lahmu. With a punch wrapped in aura, he pierced straight through its chest without suspense.

Roar!!!

Black flames danced at his fingertips, then blazed fiercely.

"Ahh… Mother, why?"

With endless rage and unwillingness, the dying Lahmu raised its visual organs, staring into Tiamat Lily's guilt-ridden eyes, frantically questioning.

"Aa… aa… aa." (I'm sorry.)

But all it received was Tiamat's pain and self-blame.

Roy gave it no chance to linger with its mother before death. His other palm turned into a hand blade, slicing through its head, reaping its life as he severed it.

A wisp of black dust dissipated at his fingertips.

One of the Lahmu representing Tiamat's eleven children was declared dead.

In the distance, sensing the death of one sharing its fate, Tiamat's dragon body let out a furious roar.

"Aaaaaaa!!!"

The remaining eleven children grew even more agitated by their sibling's death.

"Kill him! Kill him!! I'll tear him apart!!!"

Looking at these jet-black creatures, radiating evil aura, Roy rubbed his brow, inwardly sighing.

All their hatred was focused on him. This might be a bit much to handle…

But since they'd come, he'd take them all on.

If these monsters were left to others, their situation would become far more dangerous.

"Come on, then. All of you at once. I'm in a hurry."

He spoke calmly, while Tiamat Lily, clinging to his neck, showed a resolute expression.

"Aaa… aaa… aa." (I'll fight with you.)

"Is that so? Then come along."

Sensing Tiamat Lily's firm resolve, Roy smiled faintly. The two said no more.

In the next instant, with a blinding streak of white light, he launched the attack.
