A While Back…
"Kids! I'm home! I brought some snacks!" I shouted, closing the door behind me and setting down my work purse and sweater on the coat hanger.
"MOM!" they both yelled, rushing down the stairs to hug me.
They may be at the age where most teens end up ignoring their parents and being more independent, but I'm all they have after their dad passed .
"How was work?" Mel asked. I sighed then smirked "It was stressful as always, yes. But... I regained my energy as soon as I saw you guys!"
Mark and Mel smiled and nodded at each other and both ran to their rooms. A minute or so passed then they ran back with papers in their hands.They raised the paper up to me and showed me that they both got an A+ on their tests. "Great job you guys!" I took the paper and headed into the kitchesince it's 8 pm" I paused and smiled at them "how about we get ice cream tomorrow at noon?" I continued. "Yes please!" they both shouted out with a pleased beg, they may be 14 yrs old but they are still my babies and they know that. "Alright! Bed time then!" I chuckled joyfully as they ran upstairs
The Next Day…
I woke up feeling like I should work from home today but when I checked my computed there were about 50+ different emails from my Job, so I knew it was going to be urgent, and that i'd have to work at the building today. Ugh.
Before leaving I left a note for my kids so they don't worry too much about me
'Dear Mel And Mark, I know its early for me to be leaving like this, but I am on my way to work, the emails they sent me seemed urgent. You two take the bus until I'm back, I promise I won't be gone for long, but if I am, know that I'm somewhere trying to help the world for you. Stay good for me kids.

When I reached work, they broke it down to me: They basically needed me to go thousands of years Into the future so we could see what kids .
Now, you may be wondering, "What does a children's hospital have anything to do with time traveling?", well, this children's hospital ain't really a hospital at all. Yes, we still help kids get better, but have you ever heard your kid think about what they're lives would be like in the future? Well that's us. We and the kids we helped get to see the future for a while, which is fun, We have a way of going back too, but now here is where I made the BIGGEST MISTAKE of my life

I swear, I don't even think I was thinking about my children that time. It sounded cool at first but now it's just a stupid idea. at this point I just don't know what to do...
